Ya'll cheated! Yesterday was soooo quiet here... not a YaYa was stirring and I thought for sure I could get up this morning, and in a matter of minutes, read through and do a wonderful little ketchup. Ya'll got mothy on me last night and this morning!!

Welll.... I seem to remember Marilyn writing an absolutley beautiful little poem yesterday and I just had to say that she expressed my sentiments exactly.... as did Beth with these heartfelt words:

Hope everybody can find time to relax today and just enjoy. I just want to say that I've already received the most precious gift this year--the friendship and true caring I've found here with you Ya Yas. You are all truly wonderful people and I am so thankful for each and every one of you. And that goes for the bothers, too, Jay and Todd!! It was great to meet some of you at WDW this month and I hope to meet a lot more of you in days to come. May all of you have the happiest of holidays, this Christmas and may our new year be filled with health, happiness, and peace.

Jennifer, you said yesterday that one of the highlights of 2002 for you, was the friendships that have been formed here. I couldn't agree more! I've been blessed with some incredibly special friendships through the Dis this year and who would've thought that your first little "Last Word" thread would've evolved into this! You all mean the world to me... I'd be completely lost without all of you, and I treasure your friendships in a way that I can't seem to put into words. Ya'll are the sweetest, kindest bunch of loons I've ever had the pleasure to know.

WHICH brings me to the next thing I have to say. THANK YOU ~THANK YOU for the Christmas cards! I finally broke down yesterday and checked the mail. LOL! I was BAD BAD BAD this year! I normally send Christmas cards to everyone, but I felt so overwhelmed with stuff this year, that was just one of the many things that fell by the wayside for me this time. Ya'll wamed my heart with your sweet cards... THANK YOU.

A little bit of sad news to report. Our old kitty (Alex) passed away last night. We knew he was on his way out.... but of course it still hurts. That's two in the last year. Andrew, (Bug) my Himalayan died last year. He was Alex (Bunny's) buddy. *Sigh* I know it was time, but dang it... why did it have to happen on Cameron's birthday!?

Carol and Michele , I'm sorry to hear that your sweeties are feeling so poorly. Give them a hug from the YaYas.

Carol, we have Patrick Stewart's A Christmas Carol on video! We watched it just the other night! He does such an incredible job!!

Jodie, You have a wonderfully relaxing Christmas with Mickey. The Ski Lodge will NOT be the same without you... I do hope you find the opportunity to check in from time to time to let us know how things are going. If you see Timon anywhere... give him a kiss for me.

I have to run to town AGAIN today. You'll never believe why. I was digging around in my Christmas stash closet last night. Oh... what's this? An ant? Ick. Another ant? Ugh. Oh my gosh!!! ANTS asolutely swarming the bag of Christmas candy!!!! Thousands of the disgusting little creeps all over my candy!!! So... back to Walmart or Raleys or wherever for a last minute candy run! Ack! Little pigs!! Sooo.... I suppose I should get off my rear and go do that.

If I don't get to see ya'll again before Christmas, MERRY HO HO HO, etc etc.... Have a WONDERFUL YaYa Christmas everybody!

Um, what time should I expect you to stop by my house to pick me up? DH just left on a run for a dark chocolate orange (the Terry's one). That's DD's favorite and I can't find them anywhere this year! I got everyone else's......I do have a back up (I'm so bad). I hoarded a dark chocolate orange "egg" from Easter. It will do in a pinch.

I think we have discovered a new family tradition.....I wanted us all to have a big lunch today because my parents always get sandwich trays and never anything the girls will eat for tonight......well...it got too late to go out plus frost cookies.....soooo...we got take out from the local Pub!! Seafood Fettuchini, salad and whole grain bread with honey butter!!! mmmmm....that should hold us for the mext 3 days!!!!

Well, the apple pie is about done and, boy, does it smell *good* in here! Mmmmmmm!!! Time to pack an overnight bag & head over to the IL's. I should be able to drop by for a minute tomorrow, but I'll be on a borrowed dial up connection. Better than nothing I suppose.

Oh, for all you ACS fans, TBS begins their Christmas Story marathon at 8pm ET tonight & it runs thru 6pm ET Christmas Day. I know I'll be tuned in for it!!

I have a confession to make. I have not opened any of my Christmas cards yet. I decided that I would wait until Steve gets home (tonight around 11) and then we can open them together. I did see some names that I didn't recognize but have guessed them to be Ya Yas. Now DH and I will be even. We are always getting cards from business associates that I don't know. Do you think he will understand that my business is DIS business. Hee! Hee!

I have one more trip to make. I have to go to the grocery, Sears hardware, and the local UDF for their egg nog.

Got a bit of sad news late last night. One of my cousins has died. If the weather permits I will be traveling to Kentucky (about 4 hours) for a graveside service on Thursday. He is going to be buried next to my grandparents and my uncle(his dad). I haven't been down there for 10 years. Kind of put a small damper on the holidays.

I also want to express my appreciation for the Ya Ya friendships that have been started here. What started out as who will get the last word has turned into a friendship that can not be discribed. I treasure all of you.

To my ornament exchange Ya Ya. I hope you got your ornament yesterday. If not then it should be getting there today. I hope you like it.

Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Christmas that is filled with memories.

Oh Betty! I am so sorry about your cousin!!! Why always during the holidays? It is never easy when someone dies but during the holidays adds an extra pain....been there. OK....I'M ALMOST PACKED!!!!! They are calling for ice here tonight so we are thinking of leaving before it starts and getting South of the ice/rain line, finding a room somewhere and continuing on in the morning. We will decide when they get a little more confident of the forecast. I guess my instincts to tell the "santa thing" to the kids this year was a good one. If we have to leave early there will be no "issues".

We finally got all the stuff for tomorrow nights dinner and got some stuff for the trip. Man is it NUTS out there. I have NEVER seen traffic like I saw today. We are now home and not moving from here until tomorrow morning when we go to the ILs. The only thing I have left to do is a little cleaning and wrapping the presents.
