Hello Ya-Ya's!!!
I haven't stopped by the ski lodge in a while but I wanted to stop in and wish each and every one of you a
VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
I know I'm up this early because of all the last minute things running through my head
Last night I had about 26 people here for dinner and gift exchanging. That was just my immediate family. Tonight is my MIL's house to celebrate with DH's family.
Tomorrow we'll have dinner with some dear friends of ours. Jen you met my friend Marcia.....she will be cooking Christmas dinner for us.

Just a quick check in before my day gets crazy!! Jennifer...good luck at the in-laws!!! Paste a smile on your face, put a drink in your hand and just keep chanting this mantra.....Nothing they say will get to me...nothing they say will get to me....nothing they say will get to me...pretty soon the "event" will be over with for another year and you will have driven your SILs CRAZY because you smiled through their every sarcastic remark and they never got to you!!! Ahhh...does the heart good!!!!

Good morning everyone!!!!

Checking in before I head off to work for a half day. I get to get out of there at NOON!!!! After work we are going to pick up the stuff at Honey Baked Ham for dinner tomorrow night and then just clean and chill out. I am SO bad. I havent even wrapped yet so I will be doing that after the kidlets go to bed tonight. Seems to be a Christmas tradition for me LOL. Midi yaya is going into work with me for a little bit this morning while dh goes and has blood drawn with petite yaya. He decided to take petite yaya so he would see there is nothing scary about having blood drawn. Midi is a pro at getting blood drawn so he gets to stay with me.

Merry Christmas Lars!!! Good to see you!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!! I am soooo jealous of you folks with the snow!! It was such a treat for me to come home from DisCon and find snow here, but now it's all gone. Rain forecast for this afternoon lasting thru Christmas afternoon. Possibly mixed with snow, but I won't count on it.

Hope everybody can find time to relax today and just enjoy. I just want to say that I've already received the most precious gift this year--the friendship and true caring I've found here with you Ya Yas. You are all truly wonderful people and I am so thankful for each and every one of you. And that goes for the bothers, too, Jay and Todd!! It was great to meet some of you at WDW this month and I hope to meet a lot more of you in days to come. May all of you have the happiest of holidays, this Christmas and may our new year be filled with health, happiness, and peace.

Morning all!

No time for a ketchup, but....

DH is still very sick. Doctor said first case of the "true flu" he has seen. He is on Tamiflu and it is time for him to take it so I am going to wake him up.

I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday! We will be at church tonight, then the wrapping marathon starts! Then tomorrow we will be at IL's. Yummy! They are cooking prime rib. Just becuase I said a turkey roll? Hmmm, I thought you'd have prime rib? I'll be around until Friday, then we go to my mom and dads in J-ville. THEN I MEET JODIE AND JASON AND KAREN!!

Karen, enjoy your half day at work. That isn't so bad to have at all! I do hope your kidlets get to bed early tonight so you can wrap away too!

Beth, I remember one Christmas I was at my in-laws (near Alexandria) and I had slept in about 30 minutes longer than the rest. In that 30 minutes snow fell and apparently melted too. You could see tiny patches but it was apparently very pretty for a short time. I hope you get more than that this Christmas

Michele, sorry to hear that your DH is sick I hope he is feeling better soon and that the rest of you stay well too!

Well I am off to piddle around the house for a while... I have a few tiny things I can do but I don't have to do anything until this afternoon. Have a great day all

I haven't had chance to ketchup with everyone - Roland's proper poorly. He finally went to the doctor's this morning after a very bad night - they were all shut. The emergancy service is at the casualty department of a hospital in town, so he went to the chemist's instead. They gave him some new herbal dragees to try and those, frequent inhaling and tiger balm are beginning to help. BUT, today's the big day in Germany, we should be on our way to his family but there's no way today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. My MIL trying hard not to cry on the phone nearly broke my heart.

Our family has had LOTS of experience with that! Paige had an ear inferction EVERY Christmas until she was 6! We had a standing appt with the doctor every christmas eve Then last year all 3 of us girls had respritory infections....mine turned to peumonia and lasted until March.......

Take care of those men friends......

Carol, so sorry to hear that Roland isn't well at all. I do hope that what he was given will help him and that he will be in good shape for tomorrow.

Thanks Jennifer and Elaine, I feel sort of hugged, that's nice. At least he's now doing all the things I've wanted him to do and they are helping. He's napping now. The pain in his sunuses was so bad he couldn't sleep last night and we had to sleep with the light on because he said the dark made things spin even more.

I've just seen that your hubby's sick too, Michele. PD on it's way, I hope things improve for you soon.

I can't believe how many people I know with the same symptoms that live so far apart. Us, Nancy, Tiggerlover's DH in Italy. That's one effective bug!

I'm making Roland's favourite food (stuffed peppers) and we'll be able to watch the film I wanted to see (Santa Clause) and tape the other I wanted to watch ( A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart - swoon) and I'll be able to finish a certain beret in peace, no rushing! To tell the truth, we're both so under the weather we're quite happy with that. But my inlaws are heartbroken, really really upset, though not nastily. I know it just won't be Christmas Eve for them without us there.

We open our presents on Christmas Day anyway so that won't matter. And our nephew's old enough (13) to not care when he gets something so long as he does!

Morning everyone! DW is baking an old holiday fave dessert to take to the IL later. Yep, you guessed it, an *apple pie*. Why apple? B/c she's had a craving for one for a couple weeks now. Besides, her parents make either a chocolate and/or pumpkin pie. Sooooo, between the 4 of us, we'll probably have 3 pies. Anybody want some? All of them are homemade.
