The Jan/Feb/Mar 2007 Pirate & Princess Party thread!

We are going on JAn 26th. It will be me, DH, DS 7, DD a newly turned 5. The whole trip is a surprise for the kids. Hubby will be returning from a 4 month deployment and this is our family reconnect time.

The party will be our last night. DD and I will be attending the Perfect Princess Tea at the Grand Floridian and DS will be doing the Pirate Cruise. Then back to the resort (POFQ) to relax until our 5PM ressie at LTT.

Since we are leaving the next day we can play and sleep at the resort and DTD until flight, so no worries staying up late. We plan on telling the kids that we want to try to stay up as late as we ever have as a fmaily and try to close it down!

I had to have my tickets resent after ordering them on 9 Juy. But have them now.

It sounds like a lot of you have had trouble with getting your tickets, how long did you wait before you called? I just recently ordered mine and don't want to be a bother to them. But just curious as to how I long I should wait before I call and say I didn't receive them. Thanks.

I was told the tickets would be sent in 10 days. I waited 30. Just called on Tuesday and am now waiting again. I'll let you know how long it takes the second time.

Our family is really looking forward to this - we're booked for March 8. I think I'll call tomorrow to check on our tickets. It's been a month since I booked, and they still haven't arrived. Can't wait for the big night!!

I'm thinking of going March 2 or 8. Maybe both days I haven't got anything confirmed yet but I will buy my tickets once I figure things out.

I was originally suppose go to WDW this October to MNSSHP and was kind of bummed about going in March since there was no special event. I was so excited when I heard about this! I'm really looking forward to this party.

For anyone who used the DVC or AP discount, can you tell me if you're going on Feb. 15? When I called, the CM said I couldn't use the discount for that day . Is this correct?

Also, we will be there with another family of four. Can I buy their tickets too, using my discount, or can I only buy them for my family?

I don't think the 15th is a discounted night. AP and DVC discounts are available for January 22, 26, 29 and February 1, 5.

Oops! I voted for the wrong day for the Party. We are going on Friday, January 26 (not Jan 29).

I got my Pirate and Princess party tickets in the mail today!!!
That was quick, I just ordered them last week so they were quick with that, I am so happy, now I just can't wait until next month when I can call and make my dining reservations.

Mcgrawfan, I agree - I was really expecdting the tix to have a themed appearance to them. That would be one of the extra touches that makes Disney so great - oh well....

liznboys, We are giving the trip to the kids as a Christmas gift. We have lots of creative ideas about how to actually present the gift (ie photoshopping a photo of all of us on the deck of the Disney Wonder...) Any creative input on how to present the gift is welcome!
Last year we bought them the puppy they had been asking for, for years! We videotaped the puppy with me at the breeder - then we made a corny movie with myself and DH rambling on about the meaning of Christmas and added the puppy video at the end. When we gave the girls this DVD on Christmas morning they were very bewildered. When it got to the puppy part they went nuts - no worries on naming him, either because we all had the name picked out for years - it's DISNEY! - Wow - they are getting DISNEY for Christmas two years in a row!

I did not receive my tickets and it had been three weeks so I called and was told to wait a few more days. I waited until it had been 4 weeks and called again. They told me they would send me new ones and told me what the envelope would look like.I thought they wanted me to think I threw them out. The tickets did arrive 7 days after my last call.I think that there was a problem because so may have reported not getting them. Well I have them now and I can't wait. & here we come.

Yeah, unfortunately the discount only applies to some of the party dates. We're DVC members and AP holders too. Ah well, what's $40 (what we would have saved) in the grand scheme of things anyway...? LOL

Hello everyone,

We leave in five days for a week vacation at POFQ (first time at this hotel) This is with my Dh and DD (4) . So this is a bonus trip for us. When I asked my husband I thought he is going to say no way, but he said just do it! He is officially hooked! So we will be at the Pop and be going to the Party on Feb 26th. I think my parents who are DVC members will be joining us. My daughter will definately be dressed up as one of the princess. Not sure about my husband or my self. I bet my daughter would like us to dress up.though. Can't wait for the party. I'll let everyone know about my first trip when I get back. Happy planning everyone!

We will be there for the Jan 26th party.....LTT ADR's for 5:15PM. And yes DH, DD1 and I will all be dressing up. DH and I work a haunted house so already have the pirate gear. I am having a Pirate princess outfit made for DD and have already found little black goth/pirate looking boots for her at Payless. They are soooo cute.

I am just so excited about this event and can't wait. Is there anyway we can setup a meet area or time just to say hello to one another at the parties.....any ideas? Or should I just stick a Home Depot Alien Green Mickey to my pirate hat. LOL!

Just got back from WDW Monday (Doodlebops had me at Hello!) and all I could think about while walking in MK was how cool this event is going to be. Sigh. Only 5 more months to go. &

DH and I will be there on January 26th. We plan on dressing up, but I'm not sure if we're going as pirates or princesses....Oh, wait a minute, DH probably wouldn't want to dress as a princess!

I'm planning to wear a pirate costume. Since I can't sew on a button, I'll have to buy our outfits.

I hope I'll be able to catch a few good sales after Halloween.
