We're going to be in Orlando 3/4-11/2007, and this party sounds like something the twins would LOVE...but they will only be 4 1/2 yo. Does anyone have an idea when the parade will start, and the fireworks? I don't know if they could stay awake! How are other folks with little ones planning to do this?

We are going on Feb 15th and can't wait. We've never been to one of the evening parties. I ordered my tickets about three weeks ago and still haven't received them. I phoned last week and was told there was a computer problem and that the tickets were reissued, but I still haven't seen them yet! I'm keepig my fingers crossed.

What is everyone wearing? I'd like to find an Elizabeth Swan pirate costume - everything I have seen so far is her wedding dress - I want to look like a pirate.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks!
Kim

We will be in Disney from Jan. 28 to Feb.3 and will be at the party on Feb. 1. Our two little girls are 9 and 7 and my sisters kids are 4 and 6 and our parents are going with us too. It will be my sister's families first time and our parents first time so I can't wait! We booked ten table service meals including lunch at the castle without any problems. I can't wait to eat at California Grill again. We are staying at BCV. Is there anyone else out there going this week or staying at BCV that week? :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

Lostgirlz, when I made the reservations today the CM told me that the MK will close at 6 pm, so only ticketed guests will be able to attend, and you do not need to use your park ticket for this event, only the special event ticket is needed.

Momofbgtwins, we have a Chariot stroller which is big enough for the 2 kids to sleep very comfortably, so sometimes when we are at Sea World or DL they will sleep in it if they get tired and we are waiting for an event. Also, my youngest is only 16 months, and will be about 20 on our DW trip, so I still babywear him. He will sleep very snugly in a wrap or a mei tai carrier.

We're going on the 26th! It will be our first "after hours" party at WDW!!! I haven't told the boys yet, if I can hold it in I won't tell them until we go. This will be the last night of our trip so I think it will be a great end to our trip--& like the other thread I'm sure I'll shed a few tears.

Costumes--probably re-using my oldest son's for my youngest & making a new one for the oldest. Undecided about DH & me--it will be a hard sell to get DH dressed up. Waiting for after Halloween sales to make my decision.

Tickets--I also had to call & have them resend ours. The second time they sent them they arrived in about 5 business days I think.

Food--we're staying in a Villa, so that will be one of the nights that we eat a very early dinner in the villa & then head over to the MK & snack our way through the night. Don't want to miss anything for stopping to eat.

Can't wait to hear more tips & suggestions on this thread.

We will also be there on January 22nd, for the first P&P party. My boys will be dressed as little pirates...not so sure about me and dh yet. :)

I can't wait for the party! It sounds like so much fun, we are going the first night! We have to pick up our tickets at will call, they told me cuz' we got a DVC discount. Was anyone else told that too? It sounds like all of you have received yours by mail. :confused3

I am taking my DD for this party on January 29 (which is her 4th B-Day). We always eat at LTT when we go. Sounds like they will be dressed in costumes for the event. We are not planning on going to the parks on this day, just relaxing, so little one will be able to stay up late! My question is how early can I enter the park for dinner at LTT without having a 1-day pass to enter MK, just my P&P tickets?

We are going Jan 22nd. We are staying at the Poly, so we are having dinner at Kona, and then going to the party. There will be 7 of us there, with one little Princess. I doubt I can get the rest of my family to dress.

Last year when I went to pick up my ticket for the Halloween party they said I could get in the Magic Kingdom starting at 4:00 p.m. and the party started at 7:00 p.m. > Now I had my Annual Pass so I could get in before 4:00 p.m. he he > Now the Pirate & Princess Party starts at 7:30 p.m. so if you don't have any other theme park ticket you might could get in the Magic Kingdom starting at 4:30 p.m. or something like that.

I also got my tickets with a DVC discount. Had to call a few days ago and have mave my tickets resent. So I did have the option of having them mailed.

Just checking in on this thread, I voted for the March 5th and I will also be going to the March 8th party. Really hoping this turns out to be great fun and also a great rare character event. Love that. pirate: princess:

We probably won't know the exact schedule until the first party occurs and someone posts it. And of course since this is the first year for this party, it's even more unpredictable as to how it's going to go. But I think typically for these parties, they do two parades at around 8 and 10, and fireworks around 9:15. Then all the other things mixed in.

We did MVMCP last year when our boys were 6, 4 and going on 2 (and I was pregnant with #4). Our PLAN was to not stay very late. We just wanted to make it past Wishes and we would have been content. But, our youngest fell happily asleep, and our 6 and 4 yr olds were happy as clams, not tired or cranky at all, so we ended up staying until it ended at midnight! It was a fantastic night, great memories.

What we did was the day of the party we slept in as long as we could, and then we took it very easy. We went to DTD for a bit, casually shopped and strolled. Then we went back to our resort and relaxed for awhile. So we were all very well-rested and ready to go for the party. :) Then the next morning we let everyone sleep as long as they wanted. So we were all caught up on sleep again. It worked great!

So anyway, for this party our PLAN will probably be the same...we'll leave after the fireworks. Unless everyone is happy and fine then maybe we'll close this party too! :teeth:

It makes sense that you were told you needed to pick them up at Will Call. For the DVC and Passholder discounted tickets, that is actually the rule because the idea is that you have to show your DVC Member Card or your Pass to get them. That being said, we all know that not all CM's read from the same book of rules ;) so it's possible that some people who ordered discounted tickets will "accidentally" have them mailed to them.

This exact same thing happened last year when a lot of people on this board ordered MVMCP tickets with a discount. Some of them got them mailed to them, while others (including myself) were told we had to pick them up at Will Call. I picked ours up at Will Call and it was perfectly fine. So I wouldn't worry or anything if I were you. :)

Have you made your ADR for LTT yet? Maybe the CM can answer that question for you. Let us know if you find anything out!! :)

In the past for these parties people were allowed into the park a few hours earlier than the party start time with just their party ticket. But, as you may have seen on the board, there is confusion as to if that's going to happen this year for MNSSHP and MVMCP. We'll probably know more after those parties get going and then we can guess how it will be handled for the P&PP.

We were outside walking the dog when a courier truck pulled up in front of our house. I wandered over and as the courier handed my the envelope and asked for my signature, I realized it was our P and P Party tix! I had to act all calm and tell my kids "Oh it's just something for work" because they do not know about the trip (or the cruise, or the Cindy's breakfast, or the Illuminations cruise - hopefully?)- or the P and P Party! Keeping these secrets is killing me!!!!

Finally recieved my tickets today after a second phone call. I was kind of disappointed they didn't look Pirate or Princessy (if that is a word). They just look like regular park tickets which I should have expected because of our MNSSHP tickets looked like regular tickets. They should decorate these party tickets with the theme of the parties. Oh well they are here. :goodvibes

yellownovawife~I don't know if I could keep it a secret like that!! You are stronger than I! :) When are you planning to surprise them?

mcgrawfan~It would be nice if all the party tickets were themed... :goodvibes
