Congrats! I guess it really depends on what you prefer or what the focus for your trip is. Is noise a big concern? Are you ok with using the stairs or is the elevator a must? Do you prefer to be closer to epcot or DHS?
Our trip was mainly focused on relaxing and not doing parks every day from rope drop to close so being close to certain parks wasn't a big factor, but DH and I did really enjoy being close to both DHS and Epcot. We found ourselves not really going to the lobby unless we needed to go to the busses. We usually took the elevator to the first floor to leave and come back. A couple of times we used the stairs just to explore. Lol
While it isn't a 1 bedroom, DH and I stayed in a studio with a pool/garden view last week and we loved our location. This was also our first time staying at this resort. We were in 5042 and faced the Luna Park pool. It was probably a few minute walk to the elevator to get to the lobby and pool. We didn't time it, but it didn't feel like it took forever to get to our room. And it was a less than 15 minute walk to DHS. We didn't go to DHS this trip, but it worked well for the times we went to different resorts since we took the buses to and from there. DH was convinced the walk was way longer before we walked there, but he was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't far at all.
We were able to see some of the fireworks at DHS from our balcony and then hopped on down to the boardwalk to catch some of the Epcot fireworks. It was great waking up and seeing ToT from our balcony. I also didn't find noise to really be an issue either, but we weren't in our room for too long. Usually up before the pool opens and back in the room around the time it closed or later and came back midday for the pool on our non-park days. But the weather played a factor because sometimes it rained which resulted in less to no people in the pool or lightning which closed the pool. So if you're staying in your room a lot, the noise could be an issue if you're facing the pool.
Hope this helps a little!
