The I Love BWV (yes, Hallways and Clown Pool too!) Thread

Hi, longtime owner of BWV but I have a question about the washing machines and the use of fabric softener. Do the machines have a fabric softener dispenser? I can't remember because I have always just used bounce dryer sheets in the past, this next trip I would like to use fabric softener. Does anybody know the answer to my question? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am looking for help with a room request for our stay in September in a 1 bedroom P/G room. We will have a stroller so the steps wouldn’t be of use for us. We would love a good view/partial BW view.

Also, I see some requesting a dedicated vs lockoff, besides the connecting door are there other differences to take into consideration?
For a partial BW view, which happens to be near the elevators, request "view of Village Green." If you want relative quiet, also request "high floor," because the Village Green is the area everyone has to cross to get from Epcot and the BW restaurants, etc., to the BWV elevators (which are near the pool). Unfortunately, there are only 4 or 5 1BR villas that face Village Green, so your chances are slim, but it's not impossible.

For an alternative nice view, you could request "view of Luna Park," which is the main pool area, and many of those villas have nice views of not just the pool area but of the canal that goes to DHS and of the Swan and Dolphin directly across the canal. Villas with a view of Luna Park would also be relatively close to the elevators.

quick question. Last time I stayed at Boardwalk, I ordered grocery deliveries from walmart.

I saw that the screendoor grocery has a few items. Quick questions:

1. what is the situation of the beverage cooler? we will stay at Boardwalk view studio at villa side. does the beverage cooler will fit only cans, or is it like a minifridge without the freezer?
2. if thestudio villas indeed have a beverage cooler and not a fridge, I assume it won't fit a half gallon milk that you can get from screendoor?
3. does screendoor have 12 or 24 pack water bottle?

Thanks

I can answer a couple of questions:

1. It is a mini refrigerator and not a beverage cooler. I have had some with a small freezer compartment and some without. Luck of the draw I guess.

2. You can get a half gallon of milk--probably even a gallon depending on your other supplies.

perfect, thanks!

I haven't seen cases of water sold at any DVC Resort in past 10 yrs, which is a big 😞 for us.
They don't even carry gallons anymore as far as I know.
We kept buying the qt size SSR, OKW & PVB.
Tried the filtered water tap near PVB Capt Cooks but NO THANK YOU.
Maybe its proximity to rest rooms spooked me, but it was NOT refreshing.
If anyone has different info, that would be great. 🚰

An alternative for a few groceries and cases of water while staying at Boardwalk is to bring a rolling suitcase (assuming you don’t have a car) to the gas station on the corner. They have had cases of water when I have been there and prices are a bit better than Screen Door.

WOW! That really is NEW info to us!
Thanks!

They didn't have any cases of water larger sizes or even big bottles the last 2 times we stayed at Boardwalk, including xmas 2023. They only had bottles about the size the hotel sells, Dasani liter.

when you say they, you mean screendoor or the gas station?

do you remember the price of the DASANI liter? thanks

We are thankful to finally be staying in a Boardwalk view 1 bdrm, have stayed in other views. But looking at some of the online videos and seeing that even with the refurb they still have pullout couches. We were hoping for murphy beds, can anyone confirm this,,,or do some have and some not?

Are there any Village Green Views for 2BR’s? Just booked an 8-night stay 8in March for friends of ours at BWV but only garden/pool available, so thought I’d throw a village green request in if there are any.

just booked a split between std and boardwalk view. Is asking for a dedicated 1 bdrm possible?
is there a better std to ask for? hoping not to get stuck with a room with a pull out couch.
