We used to have grey carpet. Even though it was grey, there was always the odd patch that was a different colour.

No matter how hard we tried, we could never keep that carpet clean. So in the end, we just lived with the odd colour spot.

I think that is why DH and I now have floor boards....and rugs.

We used to have a cat that used our carpet like toilet paper. Left skid marks....and we had to spot clean and disinfect. We used to go for a walk in the dirt and then walk back in over the "clean" areas.

off topic, have a job interview today.

totally stressed out and hating having to go through the process of having to 'sell' myself to a company.

still sick, and not really ready to venture back into the workforce, but this was a great opportunity for some p/time work at the same company that carlo works for, so if i get it, it would totally suit us down to the ground...and would mean that we could bank some serious cash for our trip next year

So my conditon reared its ugly head today and i got hideously on my way to my interview and had to reschedule.

So unhappy right now. interview #2 is scheduled for tomorrow. Maybe i will have better luck then

And maybe Carlo has had time to get over it by the time he gets home. Afterall, you need to get better first before anything else.

Is your illness stress related? I've got ulcerative colitis that flares up when I'm stressed. Even if I don't feel stressed I know if I am because of what my body tells me.

I have come to a fork in my life, which way to go?

It's only a two pronged fork but the decision isn't in my hands as such

As i'm turning 36 next year, the end of my child bearing years are staring me in the face, I may have a very real chance to establish a career in a field that i've always wanted to try.

If i'm not pregnant by the end of next year i'm going to apply to be a police officer.
DH says go for it
