I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

IHG premier.... worth $99 AF? P2 had it for a year now,it's sock drawered, any point in paying Af and keeping it? Valuable enough? (I hold the OG $49) just looking for opinions as I'm inclined not to keep it for simplicity sake

Since you can't get again until 2 years from original application, I would keep it one more year until you get the 2nd years free night, then close in time to receive your (3rd) annual fee back. Of course you would have to reevaluate the value for you.

I just made May 2026 reservations with mine. Room costs $299 each before taxes, so roughly $700ish in value for $99 + $49 af's. Worth it to me as I would have indeed paid cash for my weekend.

However, in your case, if the fnc will go to waste, ditch it.

So it seems call #2 to Chase got my CIU approved. I'm kinda shocked as she asked me SO many questions. I was doing this off a recon from the 90k offer. Should I confirm that via SM? It's my first recon, LOL. I have DD's college to pay, so I asked them to overnight. But I think both arrive today. Oh well, LOL.

Add me to the list worried right now. Delta has been updating (for employees) flight cancellations. I need to be in Vegas on 11/12. Last week I started to get a little worried, and booked Resorts World for 1 night, using my BFF's Hilton employee rate. The flight out Tuesday night had 100+ open. When they announced cancellations, I thought for sure, 100+ open seats would equal cancelled, LOL. So I have a flight on AA Weds morning. But as of yesterday Delta says any "preplanned" cancellations have been processed and my 11/11 flight is still there. A lot of the cancellations last minute are the ripple effect of weather, etc. I know my BF said ATL was on a 5 hour delay (weather). Also the amount of trips that man has picked up last minute to EWR (for $$$$$$ pay) in the past YEAR have been crazy! So EWR, LGA, JFK are ALWAYS a mess. I think one month he was picking up last minute EWR flights daily. My BFF is trying to get from CHS to LAS on Weds as well. She's worried because her flight is on Breeze. But I've offered to get her a last minute flight on AA too if needed.

If you had to fly (not till September) from PHX to YOW (Ottawa), would you prefer to fly United or Air Canada? (No status with either). Those appear to be the only options.

If your connection options were ORD, IAD, and EWR (this is what I see on the United site), which would you choose (or not choose)?
I don't fly much and certainly not to/through any of those (well technically I've been through ORD once).

Would it make a difference if at the time of travel I'd have access to a United Club (one time pass)?
You avoid NY/NJ AT ALL COSTS! (read above), LOL. LGA cancels for a drop of rain. EWR has been a crap show forever (my sister lives in NJ). She goes to PA for her flight back home here (DTW). Those options I'd pick ORD. But that is a crap show too! IAD I'd pass on just because I feel that is more out of the way. Good Luck!

Thanks- this makes sense

Oh and I just realized with the cc we get 4th night free and that's the acct we book from.... so thanks!

Does anyone know how a DVC purchase is code for the US Bank Altitude Reserve? Is it code as hotel/travel at 3% or just at 1%?

Wondering if I'd be pushing it to apply for another Ink before the SUB decreases? I only have 2 biz cards, but the last one was applied for on 9/19/25 with a referral from DH.

Overall, I've had slow applications though. Last 2 years have been:

9/19/25 - CIU
4/8/25 - CSP
8/31/24 - CIP (now closed)
4/26/24 - USBAR
3/4/24 - Citi SYW
1/15/24 - CIU (now closed)

I currently have 2 biz and 4 personal cards with Chase if that matters.

Thanks for any opinions!

I would feel fine going for it.

I had a busy weekend burning miles.

Booked our ORD to home flight after our Norway trip, used 27K Alaska miles, they are on AA "first class", hoping that Y becomes available and I can save 12K miles.

Booked DH's flight to Orland for our DD's cheer competition, wow flights are crazy - 60K SW miles. I'm hoping prices come down. I'll be checking daily.

Booked anniversary trip to Cozumel, Chase travel portal Edit hotel and AA miles.
Used 82K UR + $500 Edit credits (2 CSRs) and 52K AA miles.

Also used DH's Venture $300 SUB to book 2 nights in Norway.

Now to earn more miles. I need to either upgrade my Amex Biz Gold 120K MR/$10K MSR or apply for a new card I have the 200K MR/$20K SUB. I have both on the offers page of my ABG.

Wish me luck!

I am going into a Chase branch to open a new CIU. It is for a legitimate LLC business with its own EIN and a Chase business checking account already. No advantage to doing it online, since no more supports to been earned.

I had just got lazy about applying under actual business names because opening as a sole proprietor was so easy and less documentation needed.

I have multiple businesses. The usual documentation needed (utility, rent bills, etc.) are billed to a separate business entity (that I am also the principal of).

I actually do need a business card in the name of this LLC. Just don't have any address documentation. IRS letters go to a UPS box.

Let's hope that it is easier to get approved in a branch! 🙏
