The Hot New Toy For Christmas is...

Has anyone seen anydeals on Furby? I bought one at Walmart for $29.98 just in case they become hard to find later.

I was at Toys r Us tonight returning one (my dd saw it at Walmart after I bought it and she didn't want anything to do with it) anyway....it rang up as $19.99. I think that they are on sale this weekend. Thank goodness I found my receipt that shows I paid $29.99 for it.

So what I am getting to is ..... check Toys r Us

(BTW) brought home the big toy book and dd says "Oh Momma I love that black Furby with the funny hair" I just about screamed!

I apologize if this was discussed, but has anyone seen the Tumble Time Tigger actually work? Almost all the reviews on Amazon say he just tips over, but a couple of people said they had no problem. My 2 yo DD would love this, but I don't want to get it if it is useless.

Has anyone bought the Disney Princess - Christmas of Enchantment DVD yet?

I just picked it up today during lunch (I had a Blockbuster GC). Just curious if anyone had watched it yet! Otherwise I'll probably post my review tonight ;) .

Well, I think I'm done buying for DS (4) for Christmas and birthday. I bought some of the things listed here and some things I don't believe are listed here, but seem "hot" in the store.

IZ - he looks cute but I can't see what's so special about him in the package, lol. He got good reviews on Amazon, so we'll see. Does anyone have him yet?

Robosapien Junior - I'll probably end up taking this back because I can't find much info on him.

VSmile Pocket - I'm still up in the air about keeping this since we have the regular Vsmile and the Leapster.

Imaginext T-Rex Mountain - We haven't had much luck with Imaginext toys staying together, but I know DS will love this.

Fur Real Friends - DS wants a real puppy...I think we'll start with this :teeth:

DS doesn't really watch TV that has commercials, so it's kind of up to me to pick what I think he would like. If anyone has any of these things already, I'd love it if you'd post your experiences. Also, if you haven't seen this thread, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=10428928#post10428928 it might help with your Christmas shopping :)

My DS age 12 has mentioned something called Nintendo Dogs several times. He wants the labrador version. Does anyone know much about these? Is he too old for it?

My dd9 and ds12 both have this, it's actually called Nintendogs. It's a game for Nintendo DS. They LOVE it! It's pretty much a virtual dog for your Nintendo DS. You pick and name your dog, train it, etc etc. I think you can earn money to buy more dogs too. I don't think he's too old for it.

I agree with this! DD9 and DS11 both have different versions so that they can share - and they both LOVE it!! Very fun and the pups are really cute too - The shelties are adorable!!! :flower:

Thanks for the replies I will add the Nintendogs to the list. Now to watch for a sale on games. He wants to the lab one though does anyone think this will be hard to find closer to Xmas??

Has anyone heard of a Flypen? My DS (12) came home talking about this last night.

I got my soon to be 9 year old a flypen. It's one of the first things she asked for. They have special interactive papers that interact with the pens as near as I can tell. Etoys has a good selection of the papers and games.

My 12 year old twin DDs saw this in the Target ad and want it:

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.htm...3?_encoding=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B0007NH2KG

It is an electric scooter. I have no idea if it is any good or not. Does anyone have any experience buying these things? Any suggestions on where to look?

They are not getting them for Christmas because we already got them the Nano iPods, but I told them they could save up their report card money over the next year and maybe by next summer they will have enough for it.

My DD,11, went to the web page and flipped for the Flypen. I pre-ordered one with the games and paper and the math thingee from TRU and have it hidden. Target has a couple of items for girls-something about slumber party games and girlfriends. DD was with me the other day so I couldn't buy them. I am going back this week as I have not found them anywhere on the net. I'm also going to order the journal.

IF anyone preordered Kingdom Hearts 2 for Xmas they just pushed back the release date - it now will not be out until March ---

GRRRR....my Ds really wanted this one for Xmas!

Thanks for the tip. I will be headed over there soon too.

Has anyone heard if the Roboraptor will be on sale for Black Friday??? My DD has this on her list. She only asked for 5 things and I already got the other 4. But I am on the fence about the Roboraptor. I am not sure how much she would play with it and the price is expensive. But if I could get it for around $50, I would do it.

SO is the flypen geared more toward girls? I saw the baseball card stuff but I didn't see anything my dd would be interested in. I think I need to check this one a little more. It looks cool but I don't know if she would use it?

To the person who asked, I don't think the flypen is geared towards boys or girls... apparently more flyware should become available..... My son is 9 & asked for this... I think I will get it, even though it's more than I wanted to spend on Christmas
