I am trying to decide between the POP and POFQ (think that is right). Do you get a comp. fridge at POFQ. I will be traveling with a 5-year-old who has to have his milk so I would need a fridge. Not really crazy about paying an extra 10 bucks for this.

All Moderate resorts have free fridges so at POFQ you would 'save' $10 on that, but off course the resort costs more than Pop. If you are only keeping milk cold it is really easy to bring a soft sided lined cooler and just fill it with ice for the milk.... we did this with great results at Pop.

This has probably been asked before, but can anyone comment on the beds at POP Century? I had read in another post that the mattresses were really hard and difficult to sleep on.

Thanks in advance. :p

Hi there!
For both of my stays I was in the 60s building and found the beds very comfortable, and I do not get comfy easy. They were not rock solid and they did not have springs coming through. Not sure if that helps at all but there you go! :goodvibes

We haved stayed in the 50's building both times & the beds were fine. Slept like a baby ;)

I would describe the beds as firm. My dh (has a bad back - 3 surgeries) found POP's bed much more comfortable than WL. We all slept great!

Yes, the beds are quite firm. I didn't think I'd be comfortable sleeping, but found that I slept fine.

Thanks everyone. It sounds like the beds won't be a problem. After being in the parks all day I could probably sleep on the floor without any problem. ;)

I would love to see some pics from POP.

If I get I chance I'll copy & paste my whole review here. Anyways, the beds in the 70's were rock hard. Dh had a very hard time sleeping. Of course we splurged and have a REALLY great mattress at home, so this may have add to our problems.

There wasn't a hairdrier in the room. Some have said that they have them allready in there. OR that they were put in there during there recent stay. We were in the 70's B building and there wasn't one in ours. I just wanted to let you know. I didn't call for one b/c I didn't need it. I heard you can do this though.

Hi maxsmom!
When did you get back from POP? They were installing hairdryers during our June 3-13th trip, not that a hairdryer can help my hair with the FL weather. ;) We were in the 60s buildings. Maybe they are installing them one decade at a time! ;)

Please tell me tell me all the rooms that I can see fireworks from please. I really need a perk to stay at a value. Thank you sincerely.

Okay, here goes: How high from the floor is the top of the mattress? I've had trouble getting in and out of some beds at Disney because they're sooo high. This was alleviated by moving to an accessible room, but I'd rather not have to move - I'd prefer to just start off in the 'right' room. Thanks!

Hi, everyone!
It is our first stay at Disney (last trip to Disneyland in 1995, stayed offsite, last trip to Disney 1992, stayed offsite) and we are staying at Pop Century with our kids, who both will be celebrating their birthdays while we are there.
We have a lot planned, but anything else I should know???? Don't laugh, but I suffer from mild panic attacks and will be *heavily medicated* for this trip, but I am still excited!!! Kids are turning 8 and 13. I know the first floor is loud, but we just had a house fire and are very weary of being higher up and will sacrifice noise for safety. Any other insider tips other than what I read here??? Thanks, guys!!

chigirl- Disney will never do anything to compromise your safety so I really believe you will be fine. Otherwise, I would say try to get the 50's with a lakeside view. That is where we stayed last month and it was wonderful. I t is quiter because you are away from the pool plus, if you are back at your resort, you can watch Illuminations from EPCOT. You will get a better view the higher up you go but even if you don't stay on one of the upper floors, you can still go up the steps to watch it if you want.

Hope that helps some.

Hi kaytieeldr!

I don't have exact measurements (I am sure if you called POP they could give em to you!) but I would say that in my experience I thought the beds were actually a bit low or at least on the average side.

Not sure what everyone else will say but there's my two cents! :goodvibes
