I should know the answer to this question, but I don't.

What's the difference between Standard and Preferred rooms? Is it the view?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I just found the answer to my own question! It's the location/proximity to Classic Hall.

Hey mrstamil ...that was an awesome view of the PC resort area. Thanks, for the tip...

We have requested a ground floor preferred room. I use an electric wheelchair. When I come back midday to power up, IF I'm close enough to the pool and food court I can walk there, but if I'm too far away I'm chained to the room.

Go to "local.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=nqrj9d863zsn&style=o&lvl=1&til t=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=5221607" that mrstamil recommended. You'll be able to see exactly how close everything is.

Ok I may have asked this before, but I can not find any response. Is the only bus stop at the main entrance like the other ASSports, etc. If so what bldg do you recommend as to the shortest walk and longest. From looking at the resort maps, I like the 50's Bldg C rear on the lake to be able to see the fireworks, if we are not at a park. I also hear if you are a light sleeper we may want a top floor room. Can I ask for these requests in advance or at the time of check -in.

But 50's 7 60's are closer to Classic Hall.None of it is really that farand when they say Pop is the farthest at the Parks they are right but AllStars is just before them. We stayed in the 60's and loved it!!

We have stayed in the 70s, 50s, and 90s and we love all of them except the 70s cause we were facing the back courtyard. there is just one bus depot which i love!! we stayed @ POR in may and there were like 4 bus depots we had to stop at everyone of them. the buses run really good at Pop. i make room and bldg. request every trip but i never find out what i'm getting until ck in. and it usually is not what i requested! but we don't care. we end of loving wherever we get! you will love it!!

I stumbled across this site the other day and am having a LOT of fun with it...
local.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=nqrj9d863zsn&style=o&lvl=1&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=5221607

when you enter the above link, you see the Generation Gap Bridge. Drag the map, and you can view the entire resort, zoom, and even change angles. I've found it to be a GREAT site for figuring out where to stay... and how far parking, buses and dining are.:yay:

Thanks mrstamil for the tip for the aerial map. I think I definitely need to be towards the front of the 60s building, but I'll have the baggage area deliver our stuff because it looks a LONG way. We bring alot of stuff.

As far as I know they don't have anyone to deliver your bags. Now that you have a scooter, they may have someone do it or if you take ME they do it. But if you drive, from what I know and have ehard, you have to take it to your room yourself. I know we did, but I had no problem doing that.

In your opinion which area do you like best..we stayed in 60's preferred last year and it was great however i don't see the need to pay the extra $10 a night b/c resort isn't really that spread out...we'll be w/ MIL and Fil and want connecting rooms 60's, 70's or 50's?? i was leaning toward 60's or 70's b/c their a little closer to bus stop?? :confused3 what do you think??

Anyone know how much the refillable mugs are these days?

Thanks in advance. :)

We also stayed in 60s preferred and, next time, I would go with 60s lake view. It didn't seem too far away from anything and my kids really liked the hippy dippy pool plus the quiet on that side of the building.

Has anyone stayed in the 50s? I have some mobility issues so we paid for a preferred room. I was going to request a ground-floor room away from the pool in the 50s section. I thought this would put us close to everything including parking as we will have a car. Any suggestions? Is this too far from the food and bus stop?

Can anyone tell me about the depth of the pools @ POP? I was wondering if there are any diving boards. :wave2:

Are they mugs still the POP ones or have they changed? Also there is no diving boards and I don't think the pools are extremely deep.

We stayed in the 50's not in a preferred section I think most of those are near the pool. We were very close to parking, but the fastest way to get to the busses are by walking past the pool through the back entrance to the food court etc.

When were there in March is was still the POP ones, but I have heard that they also have the YOAMD mugs also. I was so bummed because I really wanted those, but they haven't gotten them yet. No the pools are not very deep I think they are barley 5 ft in the deep end, certainly not deep enough for diving board.

Thanks surfergrl31!!!!! I am leaving in 12 days and I cant wait. I am just wasting time reading the boards to pick up as much info and tricks as possible.

What kind of detergent do they sell in the laundry rooms? Anything besides Tide?

The depth is about 5 ft. in the middle of the pools (Hippy Dippy & Computer) and shallower at the edges. And no there are no diving boards.

Pop has the YOAMD mugs.
