The Groovy New Pop Century FAQ Thread!

We planning a trip in August and staying POP. I booked just standard and hoping for the best. It seem to me when I don't request, I do get better rooms. Plus, when you arrive just talk to the castmember, they do aim to please.
Back in 2003, we stayed at POP we end up in the 70's on third floor, garden side. It was really quit. It was a short walk to the bus station. We walk by the parking lot. The food court was a short walk.. by end of the stay, it does seem long when your tired, especially in the morning to get coffee.

I also, reuse my mugs, I take 2 and buy 2 more. I know this a touchy subject too. I hope they have new ones at POP so I can buy 4 new ones. These are great to use at home during the summer.

Have anyone seen hidden mickey's? at the POP.

Where is Tyler working now? I know way back then, Tyler worked in the luggage room? I can't remember....

Which laundry mat? There is one in the middle of the floor in the cafeteria.

I'm still (or back, depending on how you look at it) at Pop Century. Sort of. My desk is physically located at Pop Century, and I support them, but I don't work for them. But I do. Umm... Yeah.



Will anyone ever see me? Well... they might as I walk to and from my car. And perhaps on a Sunday morning. But most likely not.

Does anyone know if the travel mugs vs the chunky mugs carry the same amount ? I will get the chunky ones for my kids (less spillage possiblities), but would like one that fits into my car for when I get home.

The mugs both fit the exact same amount of liquid but the chunky ones look like they hold more.

The laundry mat by the main pool. If you look at the machine that you buy detergent there is bubbles on the face of the machine. You will see the hidden mickey. LOL I took picture of it. As you can see I was bored waiting on our clothes to get done.

We are hoping to check in to the POP on Septemeber 9th to the 16th atleast and then head off for a week in the Keys.
Kendyll is 5 months old... we plan celebrating her 1st birthday in Disney. I see that you are going basiclly the same time as us; maybe we'll run into each other.
BTW-how old is your cutie pie?

Yes, address it to yourself at the resort and include your stay dates. The package will be held by Bell services there. I was told my package was there when I checked in but if it isn't mentioned by the CM doing the registration inquire about it in case there was an oversight.

Just wanted to add another quick review - we just returned from a 10 night trip to WDW & we spent our first 4 nights at POP - this was our 5th stay there!!

We requested the 80's this time for something different (stayed in 50's 3 times, 70's once) & always request a top floor for more peace & quiet. We had a room overlooking the computer pool on the 4th floor & our room was pretty quiet. We took a nap one afternoon & didn't hear any noise from the pool. The food court was great as usual, we enjoyed being able to use our DDE card there on all our snacks.

Buses were great here - we really missed the POP buses once we switched over to CBR for the 2nd part of our stay. Our room was always clean & we will definitely be returning here again in the future - we actually found ourselves missing parts of POP while we were at CBR.

I can't wait for them to do something to the other half of POP.

Ok.....I know I have a lot of reading to do. I have never been to a Value Resort, but have booked a trip for DD and I in October and are staying at POP.

Does anyone have any room pics, the ones on Deb's don't show the bathroom area very well. Is there a curtain between the sink area and the room???

Of course, I am also looking for which building to request etc.
