What day is his birthday? My DD's is the 22nd.

I was just at POFQ last week and they sold quarts of milk in the gift shop. They may sell quarts at Pop too-I've never been so I don't know if it would be gift shop or food court. The food court at POFQ was pretty small.

It is also the 22nd (at about 6:30am)! party: We are on the dining plan, so I have ressies at Coral Reef for dinner that day. It looks really cool and is supposed to have great desserts! And he's not a big eater, so the atmosphere is more important to him. Hopefully the food will be good, as the rest of us love seafood!

 Re: Milk  Maybe instead of buying a quart of milk, I can just use 1 TS credit at breakfast for eggs & toast for DH, bacon & juice for DD, and milk for DS & me! That might just work!

the cooler thing is a good idea! thanks for that! we usually rent a fridge, but this wold save us $$ and give us something to use for the drive! (first time driving to WDW!!)

I read about it on another thread, and I thought it was a good idea too! :disrocks: They also suggested keeping the ice in ziploc bags to keep things from getting too wet. And that would keep the ice clean if you wanted to put some in a drink.

An answer and another question:

Now for my question- I finally had to stop taking pill form meds and switch to injectables. I have to have my shot EXACTLY one hour before eating breakfast and dinner. Is there somewhere in the parks I can store meds in a fridge during the day? I was thinking maybe first aid but I don't know for sure so any help is appreciated.

According to the Passporter for Special Needs, yes the First aid stations at the parks will keep your medicine refrigerated for you. :)

ahh ziplocks for the ice!! another great idea!! and since i pack all of DDs outfits in gallon size zips, i will have plenty!!!

He's a little older-my DD was born at 8:30am. At her request we are having dinner at CP with Pooh. I've also made an ADR for tea at the GF for earlier in the day. How old is your DD? I'm leaving DS(5) and DD(3) at home for some special one on one time with oldest.

Good idea about the milk-but I'm not sure you could get both milk & juice on one CS credit??? I'm taking the whole family in Aug (if I can find reasonable airfare) with the free dining and we will be doing some meal sharing. I've never done the dining plan as we have AP's but it will be worth giving up a possible AP discount on the room and buying 1 day tickets to get the free dining.

Hello everyone! I haven't been on this thread since we got back from our trip last July and I did a little follow up posting here.

Please tell me that my 70's section request has at least a little standing room. Is it really true that part of the 70's and 50's is now preferred? We had a GREAT location last yr. We were in the 70's big wheel, the section right beside everything POP. I did think it was THE best section in the resort, but don't think I'd pay extra for the chance of being in the back of the 60's or right next to a pool to hear the noise. Now I have great fears of being in the 90's! Ack! I would be so dissapointed. So far away from the kiddie pool and such which is the only one we use. Give it to me straight. How bad is it going to be? We're going to be ther 8/11-8/19.

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply about the soap :thumbsup2 : that makes her happy.

In my quick scroll thru I noticed several postings about coffee. We are, sad to say, coffee snobs (the wife mor than me) and she did not care for the coffee from the food court. So, here is what we do. We have one of those Italian press pots and we bring our own coffee. We also have a little travel water heating coil to heat up the water in the press pot. It works great and you can enjoy a nice stout cup of coffee, it that's what you like. :coffee:

I would also like to say that ziplocks for ice is a great idea. It keeps everything from getting soggy, you can make small ones to make the packing of the cooler easier, and they are super handy for those inevetable bumps and scratches that the youngsters get when they are on pavement for the whole day. :teeth:

Yes, part of the 50's & 70's is now preferred. Part of the 60's is no longer preferred.

Specifics haven't been released yet.

I am not sure if this is true for Pop or not. I heard at some resorts they have milk in the food court and the gift shop and it is usually cheaper in the gift shop. Maybe someone knows for sure. Have a good time.

That doesn't apply at Pop.

The food court & gift shop are connected & considered as one.

What fun to spend the time together just the two of you! She will feel so special! My DD12 is past the Princess stage (already having many "teen" moments). Both kids claim they don't care about the character meals, but I do have a breakfast scheduled at CP. I think they forgot how much we enjoyed it last time! :tigger:

You're probably right about juice and milk with 1 CS. I should probably just take some boxed juice. I looked at the menu for POP again and saw chocolate chip pancakes! My DS will love that! We may split 2 CS between the 4 of us. We have the dining plan for just 4 days, then we move to Swan. It's the first time we've tried the dining plan and I wish it was free! But we did get a free PH & WP ticket upgrade, so I'm not complaining!

Good luck with that airfare..... :teleport:

Thanks for the info. When does this all change?

Another question. Last year we had a small collapsable cooler that was the right size but a pain to keep filled w/ ice. Well my toddler is a milk drinker and we want a fridge this time. WHen should I request one? SHould I do it now or should I just wait till we get there and tell them when I'm checking in? Thanks!

Thanks Michelle!

Didn't you just love your Disney wedding! We were married there in the summer of 2000 and I still remember every little detail! We always talk about when we should renew our vows there. (Sorry, off topic)
