Thanks for the info. When does this all change?

Another question. Last year we had a small collapsable cooler that was the right size but a pain to keep filled w/ ice. Well my toddler is a milk drinker and we want a fridge this time. WHen should I request one? SHould I do it now or should I just wait till we get there and tell them when I'm checking in? Thanks!

Someone posted in another thread that they stayed at POP last year and they had a fridge built into the armoire and that they are in all rooms at POP now free of charge...I haven't stayed there so I cannot confirm this but I would like to know if that is the case or if they just got lucky!!!

Can anyone who has stayed there recently confirm this?

We stayed there in March and we didn't have a fridge in our room. However, they were installing high speed internet when we were leaving. It's good to see that Disney upgrades things from time to time. They may be adding fridges in the rooms now, but not back in March.

HTH,
Susan

Some of the handicapped rooms have permanent refrigerators in the rooms. Unfortunately, the regular rooms do not.

I wasn't thinking we were gonna be that lucky. My little sister just got back home from college so we have plans to take her little fridge with us. I know people will look at us like we are big dorks carrying in a fridge but free is much better than 10.00 a day ya know what I mean???

DORK ON! :thumbsup2

We will be there for 10 days in July. I've been thinking of buying one for 58.00 in Wal Mart and just leaving it there when I leave. $10.00 a night is just CRAZY price!

You will see many people lugging in coolers!

That's what we did, we went to Wal-Mart and picked up a small fridge for $68.00 (with tax) and are going to be taking it with us. It's a nice fridge and even has a slot in the door that will hold up to 6 cans of soda. Figured when we get back would just stick it in the basement and fill it with drinks and snacks for the kids.

At $10.00 a day plus tax we saved about $43 or so. (will be there for ten days from 6/16 - 6/26. )

I will be going before you or I would say just leave it for me.. :goodvibes

If you do leave it I would pass it on to the next fellow Dis'er who also thinks that 10.00 a day is RIDICULOUS!!!! I mean even at some cheap hotels I have stayed in I have had a fridge you would think that by this point Disney would have had them installed in all of the rooms permanently, but then I guess they would not have as many people eating as much as they do in the parks. WHO KNOWS!!! :confused3

I to was thinking of buying one to does seem 'CRAZY price!'
We are coming from the UK would we get one at Publix
as we are non drivers the towncar takes use to Publix
Will we manage to lugg it when dropped off or will a
polystrene* spelling be just as good???

Thanks
Debbie

I called last week and booked a "preferred" room for Dec 4-11. The nice man that took our reservation didnt ask me about what kinda beds I wanted or if I wanted a non-smoking room, or if I needed a hair dryer, etc. Is this something I need to request when I actually check in? Also, will they know now what room/building i'm in, or do I have to wait for check in.
Traveling with my DH, DS-5, DS 1
This is our first trip to DW w/kids. Little nervous. VERY excited :)

I don't think they have fridges at Publix. :) But we picked up a styrofoam cooler there on our grocery stop, and it worked well for us. Just fill it up with ice in am and pm and it will keep your stuff just fine.

A polyuretene (*spelling this is very hard) is just has good! Thats what I will be doing too!
Gotta say, this is really silly for WDW not providing them in the rooms.
Really, a Refig in Florida in JULY is a MUST!

With the 4 of you, you will get 2 full size beds. The only other choice is 1 King size. All rooms have hair dryers. Your room will be assigned a day or too before you arrive. However you wont know until you check in!
You can always call and request a non-smoking, or if medically needed insist on a non-smoking room.

Any special request can be made now & up till the time you actually check out. :wizard:

When you have more than three people over the age of three they will not even give you the option of a king bed. We tried last year, thinking we could bring DD, then age four, her air mattress that she uses at Grandma's and they said NO. Dh and I took turns sleeping with her since he is 6'4 and not very comfy to sleep with in a double bed. LOL. This is our last trip being able to fit in one room, next year the twins will be three and I am hoping when we go again we can get a king room adjoining the standard full/full room. Ahhhh-- spread out and relax on vacation- what a thought. ;)

This is what we will do soon! we have a fridge in the playroom that holds snacks and water bottles!! for now we just pay the 10$ because we're not too keen on carrying around a fridge! haha..but this is our first year drviing and if all goes well, then we may start travelling with fridge :)

I know this has been asked before. Do the Pop rooms have a blow dryer in them?? Need to know - leaving in the morning!!

Cant wait
