Ok, in the original info I thought it said that the POP had hair driers. then I thought I read a post that said they didn't. SO does anyone know for sure if they do or not? Thanks!

39 Days till We Pop  :hourglass
We did the room only and tickets seperate, The CM told me that we would have to go to either the TTC or to any of the parks to get the actual tickets, ( 6 day Park Hopper ).Because we are Florida Residents and got the 2day with the third day free ( so they say :rolleyes1 ) Cant they do our tickets at the resort? Doesnt really matter I guess just seems a bit odd.

Florida Resident Will-Call tickets are a bit different. You *SHOULD* now be able to pick them up at the resort, HOWEVER, you won't be able to get them encoded onto your room key.

I know this may sound silly, but I am looking forward to the MM soaps etc. I have seen some post that this is not at the Pop. Some one who has stayed recently can you verify this? Thanks so much. :rotfl:

We stayed at the POP for the last week of May and there was defintely MM bars of soap. My kids thought they were great! Mouse keeping left a new set every day (even if we didn't open the other ones..come on a var of soap for 2 little kids lasts for more than 1 day, so we brought 1 of each home. they are having fun at home now with them. :flower:

Ok, seeing the soap question got me to thinking. Anyone know what kind of soap it is or what kind of detergent is used for the sheets etc? I know strange question, but every trip we have taken to WDW I have broken out in some type of rash. My DD has too. We both have sensitive skin. Anyone had this happen? Were you able to do anything about it? Thanks!

THis has happened w/ me also. I'm not sure where we were though. It also happened do ds (14mths) back in Dec. when we were at a hotel for the 1st time. I always bring long pj's. Dh likes to freeze us out when ever possible anyways.

The long pj's won't work, I'm one of those that loves to freeze everyone else out. Actually all three of us are that way including DD who is only 3! I mostly break out on my hands though. I'm wondering if it is the soap? I'm thinking about bringing my own soap from home and seeing if I still break out. If not, then maybe I'll know what it is! I actually have a steroid cream prescribed by the Dr that I take with me now. It works great, but I'd like to not break out! LOL

I know it would be a pain, but if it is really a problem, you might want to bring sheets from home to put on the bed and bring your own soap. Of course you would have to somehow notify mousekeeping to make sure they didn't take your sheets when cleaning the room.

You know you just reminded me that I read somewhere that you can bring your own detergents and either ask housekeeping to wash the sheets for your room in them or that you could wash the sheets yourself when you got there and housekeeping wouldn't replace them. I can't remember which it is but I think I will call the resort and ask. Thanks for the recommendation. It really helped jog the memory.

Hope you have a great stay!

this may be a stupid question or something that has already been mentioned but I have to know. Does POP's rooms have an iron and a board? I have some shirts that will need to be ironed before wearing. Thanks for the info.

Have you heard of the sleeping sacks? http://www.allergybuyersclubshopping.com/silk-sleep-sacks.html
maybe you could look at these - and create something yourself?

I have read through many pages of this thread which helped me settle in to this resort as our choice for our August 13 to 20 trip this year! Thanks to you all!

Questions:

1. I have the Pop map in and I have the building (t shape) picture in front of me. The map shows the buildings labeled in letters (i.e. A, B and C) and the building picture shows the room layout and describes the location by "building number" in its examples (not letters). It appears many of you citing location for room number reference a building number. Can someone reconcile the letters to the building numbers for me? More specifically in the 50's area.

2. I think I want to be in the 50's area, 4th floor, lake and fireworks view. I think you can have a lake and fireworks view from what I've read. Is that true?

3. With a 50's area location, 4th floor, lake and fireworks view, what is the ideal building for this request? Section of the "T" preferred or room number/section?

Many of my other questions have been answered for which I sincerely thank you all! ::MickeyMo

I had not seen these. Thanks for the link. This might be something that actually will work for me and DD. We will be sharing one of the beds as DH is 6'5 and needs the one bed to himself since he kinda has to ball up in it! LOL Thanks again!

Joe - I'm not too sure of the T diagram myself. I do know that we stayed in Building C of the 50's section on our last trip and was the corner ground floor room by the lake. We could see the fireworks from there, but I'm sure the 4th floor view is much better. This was the tramp building. HTH some!
Have a great stay!

50's
Lady #1 (A)
Jukebox #2 (B)
Tramp #3 (C)

60's
Play-Doh #4 (A)
Mowgli & Baloo #5 (B)

70's
Mickey Phone #6 (A)
Big Wheel #10 or #0 (B)

80's
Roger Rabbit #7 (A)
Sony Walkman #9 (B)

90's
Computer #8 (A)

I think we want the 70's for convenience, without paying the x-tra $$ ;)

Now, are both/either of the 70's non-smoking? Both DS's have SEVERE asthma/environmental allergies. Cigarette smoke would truly ruin a magical trip for them. I have nothing against smoking - I used to in high school/college  I just don't want to have my heart set on a particular area, only to find that it's impossible for the kiddo's!

Also, are there buildings that are all smoking? I just wonder, so if my request is lost in the shuffle, I will know right away if we're put in an area that just won't work for us.....

TIA! ::MickeyMo
