Every Wish That We Put Into Motion.... (comments welcome!)

This seems like A LOT this close to the race. I think your body is telling you to lay off. Any mileage you do now is only going to fatigue you and risk injury, so why push it? It is what it is -- you're undertrained running-wise but your stamina should be awesome from the referee gig. Go have fun with DH and DD in the 5K and do what you can for the rest without wrecking yourself.
This is a fair point. I was just trying to get time on feet, and I was walking a lot more than running in an attempt to not overdo things. Given that I was having almost 2 weeks off from basketball this seemed like something that should have been OK since I am used to being on my feet for about 3 hours at a time (or 8 hours at a time for elementary basketball.) I feel strongly that the treadmill workout is not related to the back thing, and that it was just really bad luck and possibly DD sleeping in our bed for a couple of nights and me trying to keep her OFF of DH since his back was troublesome.

Ugh. This is so crappy. I definitely cried this morning because I was so frustrated with not being able to move and the timing of it all.

I was able to sort-of walk when I got out of bed this morning! Hurray! Improvement! Yesterday, after being very diligent about taking all of my motrin and tylenol ON TIME for the whole day, along with alternating a heat pack and an ice pack, I could stand up straight (but still with my pelvis "tucked") and walk around the house without having to stage chairs to take some of the weight off my left leg. DH has a chiropractor appointment this afternoon, and as long as they didn't close the office today I'm going to call as soon as they open to get in during the same time slot with him. I know from past experiences that once things loosen up that getting adjusted fast-tracks things and I'll hopefully be back to normal on Wednesday.

In FUN news, I'm looking for suggestions for a birthday meal or snack at WDW. We are planning to be in HS for almost the entire day, and I looked through all of the sit-downs and none of them sound particularly appealing. We have park hoppers, so getting into a park for something isn't an issue. But I honestly might be happy with just getting morimoto QS ramen and a dessert somewhere.

For a big breakfast in HS, I'm going to go for the buffet in the 50s cafeteria. If I do that, I load up and then won't eat again until supper.
For lighter fare, I head to Ronto Roasters and get a breakfast wrap.

And sorry to hear about the aches and pains. A thought: if some of the players happen to trip while running past you, it might save you a few sprints up and down the court. Just a suggestion from, um, a friend.... ;-)

If I'm not significantly better by tomorrow I'll be calling my assigner and cancelling the 2 nights I'm supposed to work this weekend because it's not worth the $360 if I'm going to be sore and miserable at Disney. And even then, I might see if DH would split the games on the 2nd night.

Hear me out: the Cobb salad at Brown Derby is TO DIE FOR! You can sub things in or out if you're picky and everything is chopped up and super easy to eat. It's huge and filling and their bread is also amazing. I have it at least twice every MW. You can do a walk-up at the little bar area outside if you don't want to book at the restaurant. They also have a grapefruit cake on their desert menu that is YUM!

Of all the places in HS that I looked at, Brown Derby looked the best. But I got major sticker shock from the pricing. This is also going to be (potentially, if I want to do the meal ON my birthday) the day before the HM, so I'm a little leery of the timing and having that much salad.
