Can anyone tell me if you can walk to the Sports Complex from Pop and how long it takes? I see the bus you have to go to MGM and then to Sports Complex!!

I can't imagine walking from Pop to anywhere. Even though it may look close, it is all double lane divided highways from one place to another. I think it would be quite a distance to walk.

I agree with the PP that you really can not walk to anywhere from POP. Also, I may just plain mistaking but I don't think any bus runs from POP to the sports complex...

It is just across the street but the entrance to Pop is rather long with no sidewalks and I bet the entrance to the sports complex is long too and then there is the fact that the "street" is a really a highway.

Maybe you could take a taxi?

No. I don't thin kthey really want you to either. It really isn't that close. The entrances are long and there isn't a sidewalk in site. The main road would be hard to cross too. I have ehard people say cheerleaders do it, but the yalso say they usually just dash across the street becuase it's hard to cross.

Quick question...is there a microwave in the food center? And what about a hot water dispenser? Seems like there was a hot water spigot on the coffee dispenser for hot tea, but I may be confusing it with another hotel. And I just can't remember seeing a microwave at all.

Yes there is a microwave and hotwater dispenser in the food court. I used both each morning for my instant oatmeal.

Yes, there is an alarm clock, but the wake-up calls from the different characters are much more fun!

On the phone there is a button to hit for wake up. Just click on it and tell them what time to call back. Mickey will call to wake you up.
Everyday my kids to take turns answering the phone. Its a great touch in the mornings

Yes, I know that Mickey and Stitch called us. There might have been others, but I have limited morning memory before my coffee! It was a very cute way to wake up our son! But I wasn't a big fan of the Stitch call - too annoying, too early!

This question is for those people that have just returned from POP. Did you happen to notice if everyone was now using the new mugs, or are there still the old style mugs in use? Are there still any of the old-style mugs for sale, or is it just the new style?

That was so helpful! Some friends & I are staying there in June and we felt so awkward constantly calling Pop Century with tons of questions we kept thinking of. That answered a lot though

I have heard that other characters call but the only one I've heard is the Mickey and Stitch call. (Has anybody heard another wake up call?) I must agree that, at that hour, Stitch was very annoying! But, he got me up so that call worked!!! I imagine that kids would love it.

We've only heard Stitch and Mickey in the last couple of years. I think we had Goofy way back during one of our stays at YC.

Instead of lifting the handset, I just hit the speaker button so the entire room gets to hear our morning wakeup. Gotta agree that Stitch is obnoxious but it does get us up and moving! LOL!

when we were there in september at the CR, all we got was mickey every day

Myself and my DS13 we have stayed at POP twice 2004 & 2005 and both times stayed in the 50"s section. we will be at POP again in Sept (Free Dining YEAH) I would like to try a different section.

So what are you guys thought's that have stayed at the 90's section, want to hear the good bad and ugly.
