I Dont remember a pool table...My dh, dd, and ds spent sometime in there.. I just remember games...you get to collect tickets and turn in for a prize. It was set up like chuckie cheese.....sorry, I am not that helpful...

When we were there in June there was no pool table. There was an air hockey table though.

When you say bigger, do you mean the room size, or the resort size?

The gift shop (IMO) is awesome!! It is huge and has everything you could ever need The food type items like milk and juice that other resorts have in their gift shop are actually in the back of the food area, but it's all one big open area separated by a couple half walls.

One more game room question. We stopped byt he Contemporary gameroom on our last visit and you bought a credit card type thing out of a machine and loaded it with credits. Do the games at Pop take this or do they run on quarters/tokens? Thanks!

This is probably wishful thinking but on our last trip in '05 we were lucky enough to stay at the POLY. A huge highlight for the kids was seeing what towel animal would be left by mousekeeping! Has anyone received one at the POP? I wondered if it would be okay to ask nicely on my tip envelope for one on my DS's birthday. I understand it is just a request and would not be upset if it doesn't happen. I may start learning on my own the kids loved it so much!! Any thoughts?

We have gotten towel animals at POP. In fact, you will notice that a lot of people place their towel animal in the window for display. I will say that the animals we have gotten at POP are smaller than those we have gotten at other resorts. Not sure if there is a correlation or if it is because people put them in the windows! LOL! We have also returned to DD and DS's stuffed animals watching tv.

I don't see anything wrong with requesting one for your DS's birthday. Have a great trip!

The last time we went in 2004 we recieved towel animals ...MY friend went last summer(2006,June) and did not recieve any....
The 6 times we been to wdw we only recieved it twice . This is not something you should count ....I hope you recieve one though...

Oh, when we went in 04, recieved a towel clown,,,,it is so cute...I still have it....in the windows i noticed, baskets, dog, clowns, and rabbit.....I stood at one window checking out how they made dog...so I went back to my room and made it..LOL....my daughter in law, was highly upset not getting one...so I put it in her window.... sorry, I got off topic...

i've never been to pop (we're going in may...yay!) but i've seen lots of pics of towel animals people have gotten there. i also read a post that someone put a friendly note in their tip for mousekeeping saying that they love towel animals and i believe they got several. i don't think a note's required, but it certainly couldn't hurt!

My kids had some disney plush toys and when we would got back to the room there was a whole display in the window. My kids thought that was great. They would check for it everyday.

We got towel animals when we went in 2005, but last year we didn't get a single one. However, they painted on our windows. I don't remember what all they painted, but it was like Mickey heads, hands, Minnies bow...that sort of thing. It was really cute to come back to after a long day in the park. Maybe different housekeepers feel like they have different talents to share.
