This http://www.haysllc.com/Disneyworld/PopCenturyRoomLayoutLarge.jpg should help you figure out what room numbers are included in the areas you have circled.

Just changed our requests again !! TA says we are guaranteed a connecting room due to adult child ratio and my papers state guaranteed also changed to Non smokin( DD quit soI will make the sacrifice) also asked for one King and 1 double/double. A friend just returned from Pop. Said rooms clean double beds small, food great. She loved the flatbreads and got a great room. Pools were heated. La Cellier was awesome. Not happy with kids selection for meals like most others. Personally I,d rather pay a little more for a better selection and DGS is a mac& cheese lover BUT!!!!

We have 6 standard rooms for our gathering and have requested TOP floor... NON smoking...
Was told non smoking is gtd due to being allergic....
We dont want or need to be near the pools
5 of the rooms will only have 2 people in them and the 6th room will have 2 adults and 1 child.

Here is how we would like to get our rooms

room 1 = 2 adults (king) connecting to room 2 = with 2 teens (2 dbl)
has been booked with 1 adult and 1 teen, but it would be mom and dad in one room connecting to the girls

room 3 = 3 adults (king)
room 4 = 2 adults (king)

room 5 = 2 adults and 1 child (i assume since there is 3 they would assign them to 2 dble)?
connecting to room 6 = 2 adults (king) (gma & gpa)

so is there any hope in getting most of the rooms with kings??????
we arrive late December 14th for 5 nights.

Look at the map linked in post 2701. I may be reading it wrong but it looks to me like there are 5 buildings that have standard (not disabled) king rooms. Those buildings have 2 king rooms on the first 3 floors with none on the top. I would say your chances are very slim of getting 4 king rooms especially if you want to be close to each other/in the same building.

YAY! We just changed our plans from ASMo to POP. Mostly, because of all the positives I have read about this resort! I hope I'm not disappointed!

yeah slim to no chance of kings....
grand gatherings called sunday morning to double check on the 6 rooms
I asked if we could get some of the rooms with kings.
but she said i could not request them because most are for disabled

figures
first trip that dh and i could have our own large bed without the kids and we will get 2 beds. oh well we will be in disneywoohoo

Just wondering if there are Hair dryers in the rooms? We are going to start and pack this weekend and need to know if I should pack one?

We went from ASSp one year to POP the next and we just LOVE POP. Sports was great, but POP just has that little extra something. DS7 just loves the theming and DH and I love how diverse the food offerings are at the hotel.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't turn down a Mod or Deluxe, but POP is my favorite value hotel.

This is not accurate. You have up until 72 hours prior to arrival to add the DDP. I don't know how this would effect your ressie if your TA booked with a code. But, they should be able to add this on for you no problem. Have your TA call again. Maybe she got a bum CM.

Actually, now they're telling everyone 48 hours! I've called three times lately and the first two times checked before I got off the phone and the last time was to actually book the dining plan.. all said I could have waited until 48 hours prior.

Actually if you are coming in on an international flight you do not have to pick up your own bags you can use the service with DME on you return you can not use the luggage pickup you have to carry your own bags. At least that was the way it was when we stayed there in August.

I'll be staying at POP as a marathon spectator. Unfortunately, my room mate had to cancel, so It'll be just me. I use an ecv and could really appreciate a convenient room (former room mate wanted FAR different things than I would find necessary OR convenient, and she made the reservation.)

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting a room that meets MY needs?

Just returned from our third stay at the Pop and we loved every minute of it! It was Pop Warner during part of our stay so I think we were lucky! We did experience a very crowded food court and shopping area for a while but by the end of our trip the crowds were starting to thin. Thanks to all from this thread who helped us with advice and to Tyler who started it ::yes::.

Across the lake it looked pretty dismal and I hope they do something with the Legendary Years soon! Family suites would be cool if the rumor turns out to be true. I found some shocking pictures on another site if anyone is interested. However don't worry, what's going on (or not) across the lake won't effect your brilliant stay at Classic years :thumbsup2 !

Hi

Although we've stayed at Pop before I cannot remember whether there is a shaving power point in the vanity area. Can anyone help?

Sam

If by shaving power point you mean a 110 volt electric socket yes there's two. Bring a plug converter kit if you're traveling into the United States and are used to a different plug.

We plan on staying at POP on our next trip, we stayed two nights in October on a split stay with OKW. It was nice the only thing was we were in the 80's building and it was a walk to the main entrance. We actually drove around parked and then got on buses or went to the food court. I will make sure we are preferred next time.
