We have paid for a preferred room. Any recommendations on when I should fax my request for a room?

You might want to check out Team Focker Watch thread they have a Focker Fest while you are there some may be at Pop !! I love Pop I find it to be more family oriented than the mods and deluxes. Everything seems more together . not as spread out as other ressorts. Have you put in room requests yet??

Looking at the layout of each building, they're in the shape of a T. Is there a walkway where the elevator is so you don't need to walk all the way around to get from one section to the other?

Each "T" has one elevator in the middle where the T connects. For instance in the 50's, the elevators are behind Lady, Tramp and the Jukebox.

Ice and cold drink machines are close to the elevator and each evening towel stands are left standing opposite the elevators for guests who would like extra towels.

p.s. If you meant from Lady to Tramp to Jukebox, a guest would have to leave each building to go to another; This is the same in all POP buildings/sections.

There is a thread on the CB called Team Focker Watch, it should be on first page as it is an active thread. A bunch of the "Fockers " are going in August and having a big meet called " Focker Fest" Check out the thread !

donnajz, the Fockers are a fun loving bunch and I am heartbroken that I will not be able to be there when they are this year. Just keep an eye out for LG lanyards with "Focker Watch" printed on it. They also have a not so secret signal.

All ears says 4 days is perfect. I faxed on a Wed. and we arrived on a Sunday! But be sure to have your requests in the origional reservations as well.

Do you mean a walkway so that you can get from say the front of the building to the back without walking all the way around the edge? Yes there is-you can get to the front or back of the building from the elevators. There is also a staircase at the elevators. And there are themed staircases (like the bowling pins and yoyos) at the 3 ends of the T also.

I can't remember if I used the resort phone number 407-938-4000 or just called the main Disney number (407-WDISNEY). I didn't know my DD would have to continue her meds until the day before my arrival so I think I called the resort directly. When I checked in they did say it was noted on my reservation.

Be careful though because I was still charged for the fridge and I was in such a rush to get to the parks for a few hours my last day that I didn't even look at my bill and didn't notice til I got home. I called the billing number on the bill and they did quickly remove the charge from my Visa.

Thanks so much for the tip! I'm only 17 but my parents left it to me to plan and book the whole trip. I'll tell them what to do in case they are charged for it so they don't freak out!

Well I'm glad you found us! Don't hesitate to come back here and ask any other questions you have about Pop Century Resorts. Also, if you haven't done so yet, Check out Post #1 on this thread. There's a lot of info that may inspire a question you hadn't considered or that will contain answers to things you just couldn't have imagined!

I hope you enoy the planning process! I know I aways do! I'm sure your parents will be completely amazed at all that you've learned here!

It probably should be in with the reservation, so whoever that was made with and you can call the resort and be sure they know as well. Though sometimes they will tell you they can't put it in there. (it someitmes depends on who you made your reservation through.) and then remind them at check in.

I haven't posted in here in a while. I made ressies on Wednesday for my trip 12/07/08--12/14/08 at POP (Hopefully 50s building). That just made me excited all over again!
