Do you mean requests? You should make all requests in order of importance when you call to make your reservations. They assign the rooms five days out if you wait until then it is a good chance you won;t get your requests.

The last time we checked in (January 08) we had already requested a king-size bed with our original reservation. When we arrived they offered us a regular room. We renewed our request for the king sized bed. They read our original request and said, in effect, "Oh! Of course!" Then they offered us our choice of swimming pool side or lake side king-sized room. Of course, that was in January. My point is ... its good to make your requests with your original reservation but it doesn't hurt to ask at the desk either.

Always make your requests on your reservation! Don't wait!

Then be prepared to remind them when you get there.
But they have always seemed to be on top of requests when we get there, and I never fax or call right before.

They DO want to accomdate you, and will do everything they can to get you your requests.

Happy planning! :wizard:

Since we're on the topic of room requests...Can I fax Pop directly even though I booked through a travel agency? I prefer to do it myself if I can.

From what I have heard they would prefer to talk to your Travel Agent if you used one to do the original booking. But, hey, it wouldn't hurt to try. A good TA 'should' take care of that for you. (IMHO)

Can you still make requests if you don't pay for the preferred room? :confused3

Do you mean for location? Yes.
You just couldn't really request a preferred room without paying for one.

Well...you could, but there wouldn't be a reason for them to do it.
Though I have heard of people getting preferred when paying for standard, as a sort of a free upgrade.
But if they are busy that usually doesn't happen.

Other than that, request away.

An example of a request "Closest to Classic Hall, 50s section."
"Pool side, 80s section."

That sort of thing. My #1 request is always connecting rooms, so I make that a priority over location.

Happy planning! :wizard:

They actaully assign the rooms 3 days prior.

I made my reservation through AAA, and put all my requests in my origional reservation, and then I personally faxed Pop directly 4 days before we left and made a reminder request.

Does anyone know if there is an additional adult fee for a 16 year old? I booked our grand gathering and for my sister's room I told them her son is 16. Then later I realized he's only 15. Will that make a difference in her cost?

No difference. A 15 yo pays adult park admission and dining but not extra adult room charge. You may want to call and fix it so that if they go back to WDW when he's 17 they don't have on record that he's 18.

i was wondering if the 80's has a view of the lake and if so what else can you see from there????????

You may want to check out the Pop property map and the 1980's building map links on Post #1 to get a good perspective of things. It appears that rooms 7x26 - 7x36 would be the only ones with a distant (IMO) lake view. ("x" represents the floor number)

Hi All,
I'm trying to decide between AS Music family suites or 2 connecting rooms at Pop. Do you know if it's possible to get 2 connecting rooms with one room having a king size bed?

Thanks,

I am staying at POP again in 3 weeks...I have never requested a Preferred room before. Should I call before we go to confirm this or just wait til we get there?
