Hi

I very new to this, can you tell me what things you ship to POP and is it easy to do from uk. Do you recommend ordering water and taking stuff for breakie.

I've combined the room number map from http://www.haysllc.com/Disneyworld/PopCenturyRoomLayout.jpg, preferred rooms (in yellow), and an overhead map from an Orlando Interactive mapping site. Hopefully, it will help DISers with room questions.

Ooooh! I love your pic/map! I could see the room where we were 2 years ago! I can hardly wait for more!

Don't forget the fridge swaps on the Budget Board. There are lots, and the ***newest Of The New Pop Fridge Swaps......*** is almost W I D E open!!

Looking forward to more maps, Ronald Duck! Thanks

I know the map is awesome...I see our room as well...well the room number as we were on the 1st floor...we were in room 1149 building a of the '50's area...we loved that room and area...it was quiet and everything...we are requesting this room again when we go back...

Awesome idea!!! As you get the buildings surrounding the courtyards complete, I'll add your pics as a link in Post #1!!!

Thank you for taking the time to make these!

That's a great map! Can you tell me what the different colored rooms are? Also, are the individual building numbers on there? It's quite possible I just can't read them! That's helpful when requesting a location.

Also, what is hayslic.com?

Thanks!

Check out Post #1 for the link that has this map with color (I think it's at the bullet related to connecting rooms under the "Classic Year Rooms" section), and there is a color legend. In the same section, you'll find a map with the building numbers.

You can order thru Garden Grocer I think ? I would think it would be cheaper thanmailing from the UK

Here's the link to the site where I got the original map:
http://www.haysllc.com/Disneyworld/PopCenturyRoomLayout.jpg

It explains the colors (Disability Access and King rooms), and it's much easier to read the numbers!

In my "final" versions for each decade, I'll add Building and Floor numbers, and I'll TRY to make the numbers somewhat easier to read (i.e., slightly bigger and sharper)...but you still may need to use a magnifying glass:lmao:

I saw on page 1 of the thread (see I read it! :thumbsup2 ) that you need to call the head chef to order a birthday cake... I thought you called the cake hotline for cakes?? :confused3 Where do I pick it up- the food court? Also, if I decide not to pre-order it and "wing it" are there usually some available?

Thanks!

I'm keeping track of this thread in the hopes that some rooms will still be available Thursday for free dining. I have the kids all excited about POP, but we will go with ASMu if POP is booked up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though. We have never stayed there but I think we'll have a great time,:cool1:

I'm in the same boat as you waiting until Thursday although I already have POP reserved I think I will have to cancel do to the fact I know want 2 rooms because MIL is going! And I don't want to put another deposit down i just want to take from what I paid I plan on paying my bal in JULY ! I paid most of it off already! As it stands I only owe like $300 so this will up it a lil! But I'm hoping I can get 2 rooms at POP or like you ASMU is my 2nd choice then Movies then I'm lost! LOL! (probably POR or CSR).

Anyone here ever stayed at Pop Century and headed to Cape May Cafe for breakfast? I am hoping there would be a way for me to take the "breakfast bus" and not have to get a taxi. I read on threads that buses to Hollywood Studios starts at 7AM, but then I'd either have to boat or walk to Beach Club. Is it really best to just take a taxi? How much would this cost?

I can't swear at Pop (but I can't imagine it would be different) but I know I've seen bread and jars of pb & j at other resorts. I've heard the pb shows up funny when they scan your luggage and they might have to search your luggage if you have it in there.

When is your trip? I can check it out and the pricing when I go next month.

Thanks so much, but we leave this Sunday!! Woo Hoo! I appreciate the tip about the pb&j going through the airport scanning, didn't even think of that. Guess I'll keep it at home and pay $4.95 for a pbj on property (hee hee) :(

Hey Pop fans!

Just booked free dining this morning. I know about faxing room requests a few days prior. I did request bed rails with the ressie (DS is 3 and way too big for a pack and play) and also requested 70s, 4th floor, lakeside. That was one of the areas listed as hopefully quieter, right?

Thanks again, folks! :thumbsup2
Congrats on getting Pop for free dining! That should be a very quiet location, except for when the clean the sidewalks (main paths) in the morning. :)

One thing I noticed from the maps posted recently is that connecting rooms are close to the elevators and that all the rooms on the ends of the arms are non-connecting. If you want a quieter, non-connecting room, don't request close to the elevator!

For some reason, my subscription to this thread did not work the first time. But I have reset my settings and now it seems to be working.
