I believe all the rooms are finished now !!We stayed in the 50's in October and they were refurbed !!! I have only ever stayed at Pop and we all LOVE it !!It is so family friendly and the Foodcourt is awesome !!

I just booked our trip for Sept 2011 this morning! SO excited to take our 2 girls there & celebrate my oldest's 3rd birthday there. Hubby & I have stayed at POP 5 times, but it's been a couple years. I saw on the first couple of posts that POP was rehabbing the rooms in 2010 - are they all complete now?

We like staying in the 50's section, 4th floor with a view of the lake for a quiet room, but would love to stay in a rehabbed section if possible. Maybe the 70's would be better with 2 kids under 3 for the playground area & Goofy popjets? Any advice? :)

Checked out of Pop yesterday. We were in the 50's, ground floor(2158). The room was refurbished.

We've got 25 days until we go! It's going to be weird - we're spending two nights at POP and we're not planning on any park time. I think. Maybe. My husband keeps changing his mind, because he initially didn't want to go. I think he keeps expecting me to argue it, but, naaaah. We're going on the Disney Dream after our couple of days at Pop and then we'll be back in July.

I think it'll be kind of neat to have a couple of days to bum around, without the pressure of go/see/do! :)

Can't wait!!

On our upcoming trip to Pop, we'll be there for 10N/11D. We only purchased 7 day ph tickets, which leaves us 3 days open (not including departure day which is basically all travel). I used to be of the mind set that I had to squeeze in park time at every available moment. It was unheard of to have any "free time". I'm actually excited knowing we won't be rushing off every single day and that we can be more in the "I'm on vacation" mode. So I totally agree!!!!

:woohoo: POP in less than 2 weeks! :woohoo: I am so looking forward to 2 rooms this year but NOT looking forward to the food court. It needs to be double the size.:banana:

Well it looks like we are going back to Pop. After a long conversation with DH last night he wants us to stay at Pop since it will save us over $400 plus it will be the last time we can stay at a value without getting 2 rooms. I am excited because I love Pop and all the theming. I am just worried about having 2 adults/3 kids (1 under 3) all in the small room. We get up first thing in the morning and come in late at night so we are not in the room a ton but still, the rooms are smaller then the moderate. Trying to be ok with it.

Thanks everyone :) So happy to hear they should all be refurbed by now :thumbsup2 I think POP is a really great resort - the food court is going to be great with our little ones.

Why are you not feeling the love for the food court? We love the Pop's food court and will even go over there for a quick, tasty meal when we're staying at a deluxe. Their fish sandwich is superior. They have the BEST selection of drinks for the refillable mug. Great coffee. We've never had trouble finding a decent place to sit.

We stayed at the All-Stars the first time we stayed on property. At that time, we had 2 teenagers and a toddler. We had our toddler in a pack n play. We also brought a cot bed for my teenage son. We were tripping all over the place. We could deal with that... but what we hadn't calculated was the lack of drawer space. The Pop has a lack of drawer space to start out with. We could not unpack all our suitcases, so that added to what we had to leave out and step over. THEN, there was the bathroom issue. One bathroom for 5 people! :scared1: If your children are all little and have tiny clothes and can double up on baths, it won't be as bad, but if they're older than 7 or 8, its gonna be tight. If you don't want to go for 2 rooms, you can try a suite in a deluxe or studio with DVC. Both probably cost the same, but 2 rooms at Pop is way cheaper. Its worth it for ME to have the extra space.

Agreed! When we stayed at CBR the last time we went, we definitely missed the Pop food court. The turkey sandwich rocks my socks, and every morning of my pregnancy (after morning sickness of course!) I have wished I was at Pop getting something delicious.

We're staying at Pop in Feb for our first visit to Disney World. I'm so excited, I can hardly stand it!
I'd like to stay in the 60s building, facing the kiddie pool (I think the palm trees look so pretty there). I'm afraid my window view is going to be blocked by those big dancing people on the side of the building! Anyone know specific room numbers that overlook the kiddie pool and aren't blocked by the dancing people!?! Thanks!

Do you have preferred rooms, as that area is preferrred !!!You are gonna love Pop !! The foodcourt is awesome, the choices are great!!!If you are in the Foodcourt around 8 a.m. they do the Twist and give you a button for "Twisting"

We were thinking of upgrading to POFQ. WE have stayed there before but this is my worst fear. Missing pop's food court. We added the QSDP to our kids stay free promo. So we use the food court once a day. There are things I like at pop and things I like at the mods. Just not sure it is worth the 650.00 to upgrade for 8 nights.

Don't get me wrong.. the selection of the food is outstanding, the taste is great. I have not seen a resort with as great a selection. It is the size of the seating area. In the mornings there is no where to sit. So I guess I need to say that I wish the food court seating area was double the size!!
