Just upgraded to preferred and will fax request 4 days before. Glad I read about the preferred and also the transportation tips before going!!

Just back and we were in building #2, which was not refurbed. We had the choice of that or 90s and we prefer the location of #2. I won't complain though as the room was very clean and quiet. The lovebugs really got on my nerves, but that's not Disney's fault. On our previous trips we have never encountered so many of those pesky things. They were all over the outside of the hotel, including the doors. Several flew in every time we opened the door. BUT I would more than happily deal with them than to be back at home. :sad2:

Just booked Pop Century for 5 nights in January! I've never even once considered staying there... but I guess I am now, LOL. I told DS we had to do a value this time if we were going to do a quick trip in winter and he chose Pop.

No real reason for this trip, just squeezing it in because I feel like it and it's not going to cost much. I've got several free SWA flights to use and already paid for the APs. So I booked with the room only discount and the whole trip is going to be around $500. DS had asked to go stay at a water park hotel in the Dells... but using my Disney math, I realized it would be cheaper to go Disney than the Dells. :thumbsup2 And warmer, too. ;)

Manda: You will love the POP! And the rates can't be beat. No reason is a great reason!

I totally agree!! We stayed for 8 nights at the Pop in August. If we'd stayed mods or deluxe we would have only gotten a few nights for that price! More Disney is better Disney!!:wizard:

So excited!! We're booked to stay at Pop for six nights at the beginning of January.

Haven't told the kids yet...going to surprise them on Christmas morning but they will FREAK OUT!!

We rented DVC points April 2010 and stayed at SSR for 2 nights and AKL for six nights. Loved both but the kids are into the BIG themes of the value resorts so we decided to go with Pop this time around.

Didn't find this thread until after booking but it sure has made me more comfortable about going from DVC resorts to a value resort.

That is awesome. They will love it!
But be aware...many people have surprised there kids with trips and some gave mixed reviews. So don't be disappointed if your kids don't go haywire over it on Chrismtas day. They will be excited when the trip actually comes. I have seen many who surprise their kids on X-mas, but with al lthe gifts and other excitement going on, the parents end up being disappointed with te reaction. One guy showed his video and it was so funny,. He was telling his DD about going to Disney, and she kept trying to look around him because her new Dora movie was playing on TV. She just didn't get it so much. It wasn't that day, so the concept was hard for her. But she had a fablulous trip a few weeks later.

The lovebugs were everywhere-in room, on door, everywhere. Still had a great time and wish I was still there...

Kinda sad our next trip isn't at pop! For our honeymoon we're staying deluxe funny how it goes im already thinking well we could just stay at pop! lol

But I promised him Beach Club so!

Love this tread! I'm thinking about a room with a king-size bed for my DH and myself and bringing my DD's (4 years old) Aerobed. The Aerobed measures 58"x33". Will it fit on the side of the King-sized bed? Do you think it's a good idea? (Is it cold on the floor? or something else I'm not thinking of?) Thanks!

I know this seems like a sily question, but does anyone know if they have any of the yummy flavored coffee creamers available??? I'm one of those weird coffee drinkers that can only drink it if it is loaded with flavored creamer!!! Thanks!!!

you will not be able to book a king room with three of you in a room.

But my son and new wife were celebrating a honeymoon and got two beds-- they were told no king rooms were available.
