Kinda sad our next trip isn't at pop! For our honeymoon we're staying deluxe funny how it goes im already thinking well we could just stay at pop! lol

But I promised him Beach Club so!

Oh well .... the things we have to sacrifice for our husbands!!

Are the preferred rooms only on the 1st floor? or are they on all floors of the preffered blocks?!

In Sept 2010, I stayed in a preferred room at Pop which was on the first floor (not the ground floor).

The preferred buildings have rooms on all floors. I was on the second floor last Nov. in a preferred building facing the main pool.

I leave in two days for POP!! So excited!! Our first time ever staying onsite!! Anything I should know that I already don't! I've been reading these thread for over a year now so I don't' think there is much!

Is there anything you all would like me look out for while i'm there? You all have helped me so much I would love to bring back some info for someone as well!!

I know this seems like a sily question, but does anyone know if they have any of the yummy flavored coffee creamers available??? I'm one of those weird coffee drinkers that can only drink it if it is loaded with flavored creamer!!! Thanks!!!

Just got the go ahead for a 5 day FD Jan trip to WDW Going we me are me and DD13 along with my GF family. GF family have never stayed onsite and do Disney commando style. I'm DVC and have never done commando, always went back to the resort at mid day. But it being Jan and the cooler weather I'm up for it and picked POP as our resort. I'm excited cuz i've never get to stay where there is so much character theming. I have a question about the room - I can deal with hearing flushing toilets and hearing next door talking in the bathroom when I'm in the bathroom. But if you are not on the top floor do you hear every footstep in the room above you? I'm not sure if top floor is want I want to request since were staying perfered section I want to get to the action asap.

Got back last Sunday from 8 magical nights at POP! Had a quick hello w/ a fellow Dis'er (Eeyore's Wife) but actually ended up riding the bus back from MK w/ her DH & DS one night & had a nice conversation with them.

EVERY request I had was met. 70's section, connecting rooms, refurb, not too far from main building. We were in building 10...rooms 320 & 321.

We had an awesome time. Crowds weren't bad. Several rides had very short wait times. Longest wait was for Soarin'-about 50 minutes.

My only complaints: the love bugs were horrible. They seemed to swarm like crazy at the bus stop for some reason..&..it was HOT HOT HOT! But I knew it would be.

Another bummer was that 2 days before we left, my DH left my DD's autograph book at either Chef Mickey's or the Fantasia store at the Contemporary. We realized it within 1/2 an hr & made lots of calls to central lost & found, Contemporary, POP, etc to see if it was turned in. (We put cel phone #'s in it & said the resort we were staying in too) but it was never turned in. DD was very upset b/c it was almost completely filled in & had siggies from some she had never met before. I can't beleive no one turned it in!

We decided next year we will be staying at Pop again...but will prob do it in November to beat the crazy heat!

I was wondering how well Pop honors requests. We have a preferred room and my only request is that we have connecting rooms with my MIL, so she can watch the kids when they go to sleep.

I've been on the ground floor twice now at Pop, and once at All-Star Sports. You can hear people in other rooms, especially toilets, but footsteps are something I cannot recall hearing. I request ground floor because it saves those footsteps on stairs or time waiting for an elevator.

My experience with requests, twice at Pop and once at Yacht Club, has been exact. I've had the requests on the reservation and they have been honored exactly as I wanted. My requests have been for ground floor and specific buildings.

Love this tread! I'm thinking about a room with a king-size bed for my DH and myself and bringing my DD's (4 years old) Aerobed. The Aerobed measures 58"x33". Will it fit on the side of the King-sized bed? Do you think it's a good idea? (Is it cold on the floor? or something else I'm not thinking of?) Thanks!

Can't be done. They only allow 2 people in a King room or a child under 2.

I have always stayed on 1st floor, and never heard anything above us. And rarely anything to the sides of us.

Yes, from the backside looking over towards the legendary years. You only see the top of it over the trees. I have a picture with a zoom lens, but I have no clue where that picture is right now. If i find it, I'll post it.
