Trying to talk DSIS into staying POP w/ us. She will have a 11mos old. The rooms are a great size for my kids 7 & 2, but we didn't need a crib.

Has anyone ever used the portable crib from POP?

If you stay at Pop and so happen to hear someones toilet you can just shut your bathroom door. That usually takes care of the problem!!!!!!!!!

We're back from another fun weekend at POP! We were in 0106 - first floor, 70's. It was not one of the "new" rooms though. :sad1: I'd only requested 70's, first floor though. I don't really think we got this room from my request. As soon as we made it to the CM for check in, my wonderful little three year old says, "Hi! First floor, Seventies, please!" :rotfl: She laughed and told him she'd call and see what was ready. We still loved our room! It wasn't that far from Classic Hall and this building seemed super close to the buses & parking. We've only stayed in 50's & 60's before, but I have a goal to have slept in every decade by June right now.. Aside from dh having some issues with rude guest madness this morning in the coffee line, we had another perfectly problem free stay.

Thanks that will be great if you could :thumbsup2:goodvibes

I'm soooo sorry. I only glanced in the store as we walked by and planned to check back before we left. We never did walk back over though. I didn't see anything floating around on the first check.

I have used the Pack & Play from both Pop and VWL. They are the same Graco P&P. I like to bring Lysol wipes to disinfect them (just in case). The resort will provide a fitted sheet for the P&P, I bring my toddler's little pillow and a small blanket.
The P&P can be fit between the tv/dresser and the table (just scoot the table over towards the wall) or in front of the connecting door or where it would be (between TV/dresser and bathroom).

Let me know if you have any specific questions. :wizard:

Just stayed there for a night on Fri. night. Requested the 70s building and got it. But...the room wasn't a refurbed room. I should have been more specific.

Didn't feel like making a fuss and asking to change so just stayed there right next to the big Big Wheel. Wish we'd have had more time to enjoy the resort. We went right to Epcot for evening EMH and did morning EMH at DHS the next day.

Ahhh..I requested the refurbed rooms and first floor. Be interesting to see what I get.

I'll be leaving in a day, my peoples!!! :dance3:

The portable cribs at All-Star Sports and at Pop Century (and probably the other All-Star hotels) are Graco Pack 'n Plays. We've used the cribs three times for son at ages 2 and then 3.

The cribs can be a tight fit in the room but they do they job for babies and toddlers. For sleeping we tend to squeeze the crib in between the two beds, and then move it next to the TV during the day when we leave.

In our experience so far the cribs only come with a fitted sheet, so I recommend bringing at least one of your own blankets.

Also, you should put in a room request ahead of time for the crib, but it's also been our experience 2 out of 3 three times that the crib is not delivered to the room ahead of time, and you need to call the front desk to remind them. No big deal, though, mousekeeping delivers them quickly.

Just booked our 2nd Pop trip today for Sept 22-29!!! Booked with room only pin, but I'm hoping for free dining. This thread was SOOO helpful while I was planning our June 2009 trip, so I came back again. We had a preferred room last time, but we're trying to save as much $ as possible this trip, so it's a standard room for us. Does anyone have any good standard room recommendations (not actual rooms...sections)? We LOVED being right by the Hippy Dippy Pool last time, but I'm sure my DD will get over it. She absolutely adored Pop.

My favorite area is the 50's section facing the lake, you are able to see the higher fireworks from EPCOT there and see the MK fireworks in the distance. If you like being near the Hippy Dippy pool ask for the 60's section that is not preferred.

Does anyone know how far along the refurbs are? When are they supposed to be finished? We will be there at the end of July. Thanks

We just booked our next trip, staying at Pop last night!!! I'm so excited!

I was also wondering what request would be a good one to get closer to a preferred room. I was thinking asking for 60's or maybe 50's and closer to the hippy dippy pool.

I'm also very excited about the refurbed rooms!

A CM stopped at our room on sat afternoon to see how things were. I've never had this happen before, but she said she'll randomly pick a room and check it out. Dh commented on the refurb and she said "only this side and this side" are finished. I was too far in the room to see where she pointed, but I'm guessing they aren't all that far along. :goodvibes I hope they finish 80's by May though cuz that's where my little man wants to stay next!!

I told DH that I wanted to stay for 9 days in November at the POP. He said that I always had to go to extremes.

Is 9 days too long?

We are doing 8 nights/ 9 days. Its our first trip so i can't tell you if it is too long or not but it doesn't seem that way to me!

That's what I want. 9 days/8nights. I want to get the earlly am flight on day 1 and the redeye on day 9.

I can do we have done 7day/6night two times and the last trip was 8day/7nights. DH said 8 was too much, but he was the only one ready to leave.

I told him that he could come later and/or leave early, but the kids & I wanted to go for 9 days. The more days you stay, the smaller amount of $ difference. It would cost us about $240 w/ dinning to stay a 9th day for a family of 4.

You can't get that kind of price anywhere for lodging, a day of food & extreme fun.

We are doing 9 nights 7 days at Disney with the last day for Sea World. I dont think its crazy, I think that if you can afford it and you have the time to do it why not?!?!?!?! We went for 8N/7D last time and it didnt seem like enough time to do everything we wanted!
