I recently added taking a view of the lake views from each building because someone asked me for it and thought it would be a great way to get pictures. Not sure if we have time for all. I think we are splitting up DH & DD17 & Me and DS11 and giving a quiting time of say in 1 hour or 90 min. The team with the most accomplished wins.

Melanie....have a great trip! We check in on 8/19...maybe we'll run into your family! Do know how much Verizon would charge for this internet card,? and I do have a Blackberry so that would work for us.

Does anyone happen to know if POP charges you the $10 fee for shipping a box beforehand?

Oh, I agree. After our 4 nights at Pop, followed by 7 nights on the Magic, and then 5 more nights at Pop, I may be using that pregnancy rubber band trick on my pants!

Everything is magic in Disney, even calories ;)

To get back on topic....That scavenger hunt sounds like a lot of fun. Our flight gets in at 9:30 in the morning, but we're not really doing anything until MNSSHP at 4. That might give us a way to explore the resort! What a great idea!!

Thanks for the Scavenger hunt link. I think we will give this a go. It should be fun to do on the day we arrive!

Just curious if anyone has used dial up interent and if so what company? I won't need much, just enough to check email, and possibly do payroll.

Thanks..

Can't wait..

I have used the high speed internet connection in the rooms before and it worked just fine was able to do everything I can do at home.

I have a question regarding the Preferred rooms- if I pay the difference can I request a certain perferred room--?

Why do people pay for these rooms? I am looking--hoping --to stay in the 60's building since we are celebrating a birthday with someone bon in 1960

You can certainly request any room you want, but you can only have it if it's available, which isn't all that likely.

Why do people pay for these rooms?

For some people, it is very important to be as close to classic hall as possible. I don't really understand paying extra for a preferred room at Pop, since the resort is so small, but to each his own.

I am looking--hoping --to stay in the 60's building since we are celebrating a birthday with someone bon in 1960

Your best bet is to request the section you want to stay in, rather than a specific room. Your request is much more likely to be granted.

ahhh, I see the preferred rooms at POP at the 60's building are all poolside.

Would it not be noisy facing the pool with all the screaming kids getting wet? :lmao:

Not all 60's preferred are facing the pool there some on the outside area as well.

We stayed for 3 weeks in '05 and had a 60's second floor facing pool. I didn't hear anything. But then again but the time we got back from parks, I was so tired I crashed. :rotfl: Seriously, we are requesting 60's pool view again this year, I personally love stepping out of my room, seeing the pool and all the people enjoying their vacation. :woohoo:

Hey everyone - 4 days till we arrived and I faxed down a room request. I'll let everyone know if I get what I requested. I used the format suggested on page 1 by Jen (or something sort of similiar) and faxed 4 days prior after 4pm.

My work has given me an aircard in case I need to check e-mail while there, so I think I should be able to get online now without paying the online fee. YEAH!!

Melaine...Did you get everything you requested??? I'm staying at POP in a couple of weeks and plan to use the same strategy you used....Please adivse.....and good luck.....
