Thanks to all :)

Question though: we just got the free quick service dining through Disney Visa. It's just 2 adults. Anyone know if you can get the Mickey Waffles for adults?

I think you can order them on the dining plan, but if you can't, you can definitely pay out of pocket for them.

I almost always get a kids breakfast (I don't generally like a huge meal early in the day). For the past six trips to Pop, I've started out my trip with a Mickey Waffle Kid Meal - it takes one Counter Service Credit.

Glad to hear that they are still there. Nine weeks and counting for me - Mickey Waffle, here I come!

Thanks to all :)

Is there an offer now for free quick service dining with your disney visa? I have the visa but haven't heard about this????

Yes there is- you can go to the disney visa website. They just released this same offer to the general public this morning- woohoo!! The offer has to be booked by September 26th and runs through December 17th. Drats, just gave me another to book a solo trip December 10th-the 15th, staying at POP!!

Also if you stay at a value resort you can receive the quick service plan for free. This includes 2 counter service meals per day per person, plus your snack, and a refillable mug- how cool is that???

I have a few questions for everyone:
1. What are the hours for Luggage Service? If I get back from the parks late will they be open?

2. Is there a DVD player in the room? I like to have the kids relax with a movie during nap time, so will need to bring the portable if they don't supply one.

Thanks

Thanks for everyone who answered my questions on the waffles. I guess we'll play it by ear. If we feel like having more of a liesurely morning we'll head over to AKL for breakfast and to check out the resort. If we feel like getting a jump on crowds I'll pay for a kid's meal OOP and we'll stay at Pop!

I am pretty sure luggage services is open 24 hrs. In July I arrived at POP at almost 1:30 AM. I figured I would call luggage service to see if they were still there and they were!!!

There is not a DVD player in the room so you will want to bring one with you.

We have requested top floor rooms at Pop. Can anyone tell me about the timing of Mousekeeping? I am traveling with a 16 month old so we plan on coming back to the room early afternoon for nap time and I am hoping that our room will have been done by then. If they haven't been, I will put out the do not disturb sign, but will they leave towels or will I have to call for some? Thanks!

We stayed on the top floor in June. We usually returned to our room around 1pm each day and our room was always cleaned. The one day we got back earlier, the cart was just a few doors down. We went into our room, quickly changed into our swimsuits, and headed down to the pool. By the time we were done swimming, our room was nice and clean for us!

Go to "My Disney Vacation" on the Disney World website and there should be a place called "Online Check In" or "Check-in Online" to enter your information. :)

Let us know how it all works out!

Great - thanks

I think tomorrow is my 10 days prior to arrival.

Thanks! We were in 60's bldg 4 (play doh), 4th floor (3rd from the end), overlooking the kiddie pool.

Hi there!

I didn't see any window decorated like mine. I saw that some people had put their kids toys (Mr. Potato Heads, light sabres, etc) in their windows, but that was about it. I didn't feel silly at all, but I don't think many people saw our window since we were way at the end. The people staying in the two rooms that were past ours were probably the only people that saw them. Oh well!

I think sometimes Mousekeeping does that too. I know for us, we never put anything on the sill (we had some stuff on the windows) and when we weould come back she had put some things of ours on the sill.

In the past I've always booked online through Disney but for our Sept trip I used a TA. I regret that decision! It is so much easier to do it yourself! I have to wait on her when I want any changes, requests etc and if you use a TA you can't do the 90+10 day online adrs. In the future I will forego the TA and go back to using WDW online travel.

I've 2 years through AAA becuase we got a discount. This year we booked online direct with Disney, only becuase AAA wouldn't get us any better deal, so I thought I'd give it a try. Botrh worked fine for us. We always book close to the trip time though. I've always done all our ADR's etc.
I never heard the thing about not being able to book your ADR's 90+ days when using a travel agent, but since we book less that 45 days prior, I guess I never had to worry about that.

Our Mousekeeper came at different times each day/ One day super early while we were still sleeping (Well DH and DD were) and sometimes not till very late in the afternoon.

Just out of curiosity, why do you need luggage services late at night?
Is it in case you leave your carry on ther if your room is not ready?

No DVD players.

We just switched from ASMu to POP for our first POP stay. I'm subscribing to this thread so that I can bone up on all there is to know, but I have a question...in the first post there is a link to 3 other POP FAQ threads: Groovy, Groovier 1 and Groovier 2.

Now should I read those threads also, or does this thread contain pretty much everything I need to know?

Thank you!

Anything of importance is all posted in the first post of this thread. (we just reached our commenting limits on the other threads)

Thank you Lorie. I figured, I just wanted to make sure.

I just checked in online - YEAH! I'll make sure I let everyone know how it goes.

I am usually a CSR person, but we decided to stay at Pop this time since dh isn't joining us and it will save us almost $700! So, tell me I will be happy. I've stayed at ASMo several times and it was fun. My most recent stay was in Aug. 08 and transportation was horrible! Full busses and long waits for them! The transportation, I've heard, is much better at Pop. I'm also looking forward to the tie dye cheesecake!

So when you checked in, were you able to make a note about any kind of prefrences you wanted? Like building or high/low floor or anything like that? I know you can ask at time of booking, but was wondering if you could mention it again?

Thanks!
