NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

I have a question about some chase offers that I'm hoping to get some advice on. These are the offers

Card 1: Marriott 10% up to $80
Card 2: Marriott 10% up to $80
Card 3: Westin 10% up to $68

If I book a stay at the Swan, can I pay for the full amount in advance and break it up across 2 or 3 cards? Without it being a prepay and still being able to cancel?

Would Swan show up as Marriott and trigger the offer? I know Westin should work.

If I've already made a reservation and paid a deposit on another card (made it before the offers were out), can I have them reverse the charge on the deposit and charge the full amount across the multiple cards? I've done that with Disney before.
Would I be better off trying to do this through the Marriott number or calling the hotel directly?

Thanks for any advice.
I tried to hit the Westin Chase offer for a Swan deposit booked online with Marriott but it’s been a week and hasn’t credited yet. Will update if it does. Charge shows as Walt Disney World, categorised as Westin. Seems weird but I haven’t hit a Westin Chase offer before and my rule of thumb with Chase offers is 2 weeks before I consider it a fail.

For those of us who live in the Northeast, Shoprite has $15 off your next shopping order when purchasing any gift card $100+ (other than the usual exclusions of Shoprite and Visa/Mastercard/Financials) starting next week (so starting Friday 7/11 for Shoprite's in Maryland and starting Sunday 7/13 for Shoprite's in other states).
Anyone have issues with Shoprite coupon printing today?

Just got back from Shoprite, purchased a $100 DGC and the $15 coupon did not print
I always purchase at customer service, the employee had no idea what to do, I showed him the ad, he called another "manager" over, they told me just to bring my receipt next week with the ad. I pusehd back & said that is not acceptable, didnt want to show up next week not be able to use $15 off. They finally gave me a $15 Shoprite gift card that I used on my groceries tonight

I have read here, this has happened to others in the past, especially on the first day of sale.
I know when they have written the code on the receipt in the past that has worked the folllowing week.
Going back another day this week, to use my husbands Shoprite card
If first transaction worked properly, I would have bought both tonight.

Yup many DPs about this happening on first day. In fact was at ShopRite today and specifically avoided buying just because of that glitch. A little inconvenient but I'll go back midweek and make sure it prints with both players cards. Good on you for pushing back as you just know you'd show up next week and they'd be like...ummmm what's that now?

What I am seeing is online DGC purchases
from both Sam’s and BJ’s code as online. DGC purchases made in a physical Sam’s or BJ’s warehouse code as warehouse.
Just curious if any BoA CCR holders have attempted a DVC loan principal payment? If it codes as Travel OR Online this may definitely be worth applying for!

@Tiggr88 I just went through this entire process planning to use Chase Offers off our trip at the Swan and had a disappointing experience all around. I had 3 Westin offers on 3 cards/accounts and called Swan 3 times, paying $680 (upper limit for promo) each of three times. Chase did not credit me even one single time. I followed up via secure messaging and they, with no explanation, told me my purchase did not meet the terms of the offer, even though I provided screenshots of both Westin clearly labeled as the merchant on my transaction, and the homepage of the Swan branded by Westin.

But even that wasn't the most ridiculous part. The Swan did NOT trigger the Westin promo even a single time, on any of three different accounts held by both my DH and I, but DID randomly trigger the Autograph (Swan Reserve) promo I also happened to have on my account! And Chase offered no help either in clearing up the Autograph mismatch (Swan vs Reserve), or honoring the Westin promotion . It's really been quite frustrating, so I would not bank on Swan triggering correctly as a Westin, and especially not triggering as a Marriott. But, if you have success using the Marriott promo lmk, as I also have one right now that I was not even going to bother to use 😡😡

This has happened multiple times for me so I never go the first day of this offer. I also noticed that if you purchase a variable load card the coupon never prints out.

I think there are 2 separate issues that occur every time Shoprite runs these deals.

The first, as many people have said, is that on day 1 of the promotion it doesn't always work correctly. As DisneyMom said, that is why a lot of us wait until later in the week to do this promotion (As an aside, this is why more and more companies have moved their sale dates from Friday - Thursday instead of the normal Sunday to Saturday. Because usually issues will occur on the first day of a promotion, and then you have no one in the corporate office on Sunday to be able to contact.)

The second issue is whether they properly programmed all the gift cards into their system. The way the system knows that it is a gift card and you qualified for the promotion is by the first set of numbers in the UPC. For example, a UPC that starts with 076750 tells the system that it is a gift card. However, sometimes the gift card company will make a new batch of gift cards and change the UPC and if someone at Shoprite doesn't program that UPC into the system, it won't show up as qualifying.

I also don't think that variable load gift cards never work...I have purchased the one4All Ultimate gift card variable load in the past and sometimes it printed and sometimes it didn't.

It also annoys me when they list one of the exclusions as "all financial cards" since there is no actual definition of what makes something a financial card. I once had a customer service person try to tell me the One4All didn't qualify since it was considered a financial card.

Looks like Cash App sent a 5% off offer to everyone (saw it posted in a lot of places). Max $5 off.

Can stack this on top of any discounted DGC, so for eg. Sam's Club has $50 DGC for $47.98
Get x2 of these,
$47.98 x 2 = $95.96 - 5% = $91.16
Saves about $9 and brings about 9% savings.

There's probably an even better deal for a $100 DGC which would bring the % up.

Thanks! Bought 2x$50 gift cards from Sams Club. Too bad BJ's didn't have any sales going on for their $100 DGC.

Early last week, I visited our local Sam's Club to purchase a $500 Disney gift card which I planned to use for the Mickey's Xmas Party. They were sold out. When I got home, I ordered one online to be received on 7/15. It still shows as being "in process" today. I had a pending charge on my credit card for several days but it fell off completely on 7/16. On 7/16, I received it. It seemed odd so I called to check the balance and I got a message saying it was not activated which was confirmed by a sales rep. The rep said that Sam's Club must not have activated it and it is their problem. Since it is not shown at all on my credit card, I guess that I now have a gift card with a $0 balance that I was not charged for. Will Sam's ever complete the "process" and then charge me?

My dates in the previous message are incorrect. I was supposed to receive the card 7/11/25 and I received it 7/12/25. It fell off my credit card list of charges completely on 7/12/25

We've had the opposite problem with Shoprite, the printed coupon will not scan when we go to use it the following week. Need to get customer service to manually enter the discount.

Also, the one time we had an issue with the coupon not printing I had scanned our card in while using the self service checkout. When I finished, I went to do the gift card as a separate purchase. The customer service person told me I couldn't do gift cards through the self checkout and she would need to do it. No problem. Except she didn't scan my Shoprite member card nor ask for phone number to enter while making the purchase, so the coupon did not print out.

When I went to customer service, they said the member ID was not entered when making the purchase which is why no coupon printed out. I explained that their own person processed the transaction and that I had my card. They wrote the code on the receipt and it worked when we went through checkout the next week.

Moral of the story, if customer service helps you with the purchase, make sure they enter your Shoprite member card into the specific transaction. Not saying you won't still have an issue, but something else to watch for to help avoid issues.

I’d call Sam’s and see if they can tell you what happened to the order.

If that results in nothing I’d give it like a week to see if the charge pops back up. Sometimes a pending charge will drop off and then pop up charged a few days later.

It didn't post to everyone, since I do not have the offer in my account. That being said, is a 5% cash app offer really worth much, since you can get 5% using a visa or mastercard purchased at Staples with an ink card?

Yeah, not as good as the days of 10% cashback up to $8.00 per transaction with Sam's Club for sure.

For me, the Staples and Office Depots / Office Max near me closed and it is a lot further away to get there and I don't have the Chase Ink card that gives 5% cashback so I don't buy the no fee Visa cards. But that obviously works better and is a lot more common than the Cash App cashback on anything.

The Cash App 5% I was able to do from the comfort of my own home :)

it can be to someone that doesn't have an ink card 😉
I

Staple had this gift card on sale for 10% off and I also had 5% back with my Disney visa at Staples, so hoping that’ll work but if not, oh well, I’ll probably end up buying the new printer I need from Staples anyways which is included in the gift card but if not, it’ll definitely get used at Lowe’s. :)
