So is there only one bar of soap? We would use that for hand washing, is there one to use in the shower?

The good news is that there is more than one. You have to look closely at the picture, but there are two soaps....a facial soap and a bath soap. Each is a different size. Keep in mind that Mousekeeping will replenish as often as you need it, too.

I'll go update Post #1 so it specifically states that there are two kinds of soap. :thumbsup2

Oh wow, I didn't realize this. Good thing I have bought some lotion. I have a need for lotion..dry dry skin. I will have to make super sure I have it packed now.

:) There's a lot of information in Post #1 and #2 that will help with your planning, so if you haven't done so already, check it out. I'm sure it will answer questions you didn't even know you had! :rotfl:

A reminder for everyone....you can do a quick search on Page 1 of the thread by pressing [Cntrl] + [F] and typing a keyword search. So if you are seeking information about one or two things in particular, give that a try to see if there's an answer for you already so you don't have to wait for a reply. :) I know I sometimes have questions that are more specific to my needs, so it's not always so easy to find, but it's worth a shot. Otherwise, I have everyone here to fall back on for insight and advice!!

...... Also wanted to thank Buckeye Gal and all contributors to this thread! It was invaluable to us on our 1st, but not last, POP stay! :thumbsup2

:thanks:

:disrocks:

You are most welcome! A lot of people have indeed made contributions to it! I'm so glad having most everything you needed to know in one place helped!

....she & I used the bottom drawer to place our dirty clothes in until laundry time.
And that's why I always take clorox or similar wipes in my carry on so I can wipe out drawers before unpacking.

I added this topic to the "Tips" section in Post #2.

Absolutely no offense meant to anyone who's made use of their dresser drawers for dirty clothes. For some reason I just never considered it would be used that way, so it caught me off-guard!!! I'm glad to know I wasn't the only naive one!

Just checked out yesterday after staying at POP for 2 weeks (in the best room ever - 6434 top floor, corner room, lake view, no pool noise, fireworks views from the parks). During our stay, we did a couple of loads of laundry in the laundry room at the Hippy Dippy Pool area. One lady had to call a CM for help when the large load washer (there's only one, and it looks different from the others) locked up at the end of the cycle and wouldn't release the door so she could take her clothes out. The CM came in, looked at it, and said, "Yep, the sensor on this one locks up once in a while. There's nothing we can do about it except wait for it to release. We've had it serviced, but it just has a mind of its own." When she asked for a time frame (5 minutes? 30 minutes? tomorrow?), all he said was, "I can't tell you how long. It seems to be different each time." She even tried unplugging it, and it didn't help. She was forced to stand by and wait...and wait....and wait some more. After 30 minutes, the door finally released and she took her clothing out.

The moral of this story is to use the large load washer at your own risk! :laundy:

Hey were you in the very corner room? We were in room 6436, which is the last room in that hallway at the corner.

We checked out on Saturday, June 12. Is that when you checked in? Perhaps we were in the same room? It is an absolutely awsome room! :thumbsup2

Cool! My tip made it to the first page. So can't wait for my trip in 89 days even with dirty drawers.

I wasn't talking about cootie-clothes, blood or vomit stained clothes, just clothes we wore. Geez people, relax. :sad2: I even put a dryer sheet in EACH drawer for a fresh smell, dirty or clean clothes. So, for those of you that use your suitcases for dirty clothes, do you wipe out your own luggage? :confused3

:thumbsup2 You ALWAYS have great advice and knowledge to share!

Again, I didn't mean to offend anyone. :flower3: My initial, gut reaction was , and I wrote it for all to see. My mistake. I'm normally tactful. Really I am! Like some others have mentioned, we put our dirty clothes in a plastic bag for their return home, so I had just never thought outside the box on this topic. :grouphug:

I put my dirty things in a large bag. When I'm repacking my suitcase to head home, I sort my clothes into whites, brights, and darks. Then I pack them back into the space saving bags that I used to bring my clean clothes. I sort so when I get home, I just empty a bag into the washer. And ::yes:: I wipe my space bags and suitcase out with a clorox wipe and let them dry before packing away. Our clothes are pretty dirty after sweating thru the park from 8 am - close.

YES! That's the room! I see I had typed the wrong number, but it was the corner room. And yes, we checked in the night of June 12th. If/when we stay at POP again, I'll definitely request that room again. It was great! We checked out on Saturday, June 26th. I wonder who's in there now? :lmao:

Back (to the icky reality of a 4 month deployment in 2 weeks) from 8 wonderful nights at Pop. First time on property and LOVED it! Loved that it just oozed Disney. Had requested 90's building, 4th floor. Didn't fax requests or do online check in since I got totally thrown off the week prior to going when I ended up with a massive infection, facial swelling and a lovely root canal. Thankfully the endodontist got me out of pain and the swelling went away by the time we did our first pics at Animal Kingdom on Sunday!

Anyway, at check in (no wait at 3:15PM on Saturday the 19th) was given 90's building, 1st floor. Asked if any 4th floor was available and got rooms 3428 & 3429 in the 50's building with Tramp icon and LOVED them! Was able to see fireworks and really quiet. Never heard any noise except occasionally the neighbors shower or toilet but that was only when in our bathroom. Room was not refurbished but I thought it was nice as it was. Mousekeeping was interesting - my 4 boys were in 1 room and DH and I were in the other and we always had the connecting doors open. Everyday, 3 beds would be made and 1 bed would be turned down - just found that odd. Especially since it was never the same bed!

We only had one not so happy cast member - maybe she had a late night and she wasn't quite awake since she didn't crack a smile at all while we were making a purchase in the store. Everyone else we came across would say hello or ask if we were enjoying our stay.

Didn't use the bus system at all since we had 6 people plus a stroller and it just seemed easier to us to use my van. Oh, and since I brought up the stroller, we had no issues with Bell Services picking up our stroller (rented from Magic Strollers) or borrowing a luggage cart.

I would definitely recommend Pop to anyone who asked! :cool1:

Do you know which one? We are leaving to go on a cruise. we plan to leave around 9 o'clock. I thought I would do a load of laundry in the morning before we leave. that would be a tragedy if that happened!!!! Only the large ones it happened to???

we just got back after six nights at pop! i will admit that i'm generally a Moderate girl--especially CSR because of the queen beds. but this was a "budget" trip because we'll be back for the half marathon in january. plus, DH couldn't go, so my sister went. she has an "adults-only" trip planned in november with some friends. so, since both of us have upcoming trips, we wanted to keep our costs low. we used the kids-go-free promotion.

i will admit that my worrying was completely unwarranted. i requested 70s building 6 and ended up in room 6234. we had a nice view of the lake and our room was mostly quiet (some sounds from neighboring rooms, but nothing too major). we were convenient to Classic Hall. all of the CMs we met were very nice. Rosaria was our mousekeeper and she did a fantastic job. no towel animals, but that's okay! :)

i would stay there again. the bed was a little close to the door, but that's fine. we did like the refurbished room--especially the privacy curtain. the beds were comfortable. the food court was fantastic--i thought the selection was great! each station moved the lines through quickly as well.

all in all--a very good experience. and we do plan to stay there again. our building had the Mickey phone and my kids thought that was fantastic! lol!

Thanks for posting this review. I have little worries in the back of my mind about POP, too, since I have only stayed in a Moderate before. However, after reading this I am much more at ease. Thanks again! :goodvibes

You can't miss it. It's the only one that's front-loading, and it has a door lock. All the others are top-loading machines. Enjoy your cruise. :)

did you request anything? i will say that i wouldn't want to stay near the Hippy Dippy Pool. it is open 24 hours (at least, it was during our stay) and i imagine it's pretty noisy most of the time.

we requested 70s, building 6. if i were to stay there again, i'd request the same and add a lake view because that put us on the back side of the building. that area was very quiet.

my kids loved it. and i would definitely stay there again. i don't care if i never stay at ASMovies again. but Pop just seems different for some reason.

How bad is the walk from that building to the main hall/busses. This trip my mom is coming and she is 70..so closer to the main hall is best.

No offense taken, just that our clothes weren't cootied! :rotfl: We wore them, folded them, and stored them for a couple/few days before I washed them. Yes, I did laundry while I was down there for 12 days. ;) My daughter developed hives for the 1st time EVER while down there, and it continued at home - no relation whatsoever to cootie-drawers. :lmao: All her clothes and bedding were brought from home, washed at home, and she got hives for whatever reason. :confused3 I hear what you mean about OBVIOUS gross drawers tho. Ours weren't tho. That's all. ;)

Yes, it was open 24/7 but there are 'quiet times' and, I must say, everyone was respectful of this. The noisest noise we had - when we Opened our door - was the kiddie pool fountains running all night long at the far end of the Hippy Dippy pool! Only when we opened the door tho! Otherwise - no noise! :thumbsup2

With all due respect, do you store dirty clothes in the drawers with your clean clothes at home? It shouldn't be a problem since they aren't cootie-ridden, right?
