Has anybody seen the latest refillable mugs at the Pop? I'd love to see pictures. :goodvibes

3 days to go until we are going, I can't wait!! :yay:

My parents and inlaws are there for the first time, they had to go out 5 days before us as the flights were full. I cannot wait to get out there now! :)

Woo hoo!

How exciting! I hope you have a safe and magical trip. Bring back lots of pics for us to see!

Staying at Pop for the first time in August - free dining :cool1:! Where would a crib/pack and play (not sure which we'll get) fit the best? When we stayed at the All Stars we didn't have a crib so I didn't pay attention to the room size.

Thanks - this thread is so helpful!

I'd say either between the beds or on the side of the TV between it and the bathroom.

We had connecting rooms, so couldn't put it between the tv and the bathroom. We put it between the table and the window. There really is more room to deal with than you think! :thumbsup2

I put my stroller in that spot and use the space between the TV and bathroom for my "organized, not sloppy at all laundry pile" ;)

Just booked 8/23-8/29 @ POP for DH and I. Thank you so much for an informative thread!! I was really debating back and forth between POP or a Mod resort, and I think we've made a good decision!

Am I being too picky?

My DH and I stayed in a preferred room at All Star Sports - although we loved it, it really was quite noisy at night with teenage boys running around and throwing the lounge chairs into the pools, playing in the life jacket/towel bin, and all around causing a lot of noise.

At Pop, we don't want a preferred room - but we do want to be close to the action.

Here is what I was thinking of requesting:

King Bedroom
Buildings 3,4,5 or 6
Preferably top floor
Lake view would be nice

There is probably no way I'll get all of my requests, so I listed them from order of importance. I understand that each and every request is only that - a request. But it is very important for us to have a King bed, as we are not tiny people (my husband is 6'3'' and I'm a bit wider than most!), we would not be comfortable in a double bed!

Do you think I'm being too particular, or is it common to request so much?

Also, are those buildings pretty close to Classic Hall and the bus stops? Or should I add one in the 80s or 90s?

I feel like my requests are going to be a pain - so I'm hesitant to request anything besides King Bed!! Help ease my mind! :goodvibes

Congratulations!! :cheer2:

Have fun planning -and you know where to find us if we can be of any help with POP info! :thumbsup2

 It would best to keep requests simple and not more than three. CM's do not have room for much and room assigners have said if too many it is too complicated.

So! I understand your requests and do not think you are picky.

Here's what I would do (5 stays at POP and 25 yrs of mostly deluxe, but handle it the same no matter the resort.) By the way, my friend always requests a kind bed- usually gets that, but not 4th floor lakeside.

1. King bed
2. upper floor
3. lakeside

Lakeside automatically includes the bldgs you prefer. :) At check-in, we ask the CM to check certain bldgs if our request was not met. Every time we've worked them and they found us a great room location. :thumbsup2

Hope this helps...have a wonderful stay!! :goodvibes

Thank you so much!

I knew that my requests were a bit excessive, so I'm very glad to have your input on how to "condense" my requests!! :thumbsup2

I'm really excited about Pop - we were going to stay at CSR but my DH is insisting on Pop, not just because of the $$$ that we'll save, but because he is really interested in taking photos of the "deserted" Legendary years!! Plus those iced coke machines are catching his eye!

I'm sure even if there is a great deal (4/3, 40% off, etc.) he would still want to stay at Pop! Which is just fine by me, as it looks like it's a great time! :cool1:

Isnt that really close to the ac unit?

Hmmm... you might be right. I put a blanket over the side that was closest to a/c, and we turn it up (warmer) a bit from where it is set. We're not used to A/C, so don't require it very cool at night.

Guess What! I got the Confirmation to POP Century for May 1-3, 2009 it's only $74.00 Our Family can't wait! Oh! One more thing Everything POP sells Bolt on DVD in sale in Everything POP?

We are staying off property the night before we can check into the POP. What is the earliest we can get our tickets to the parks?? Any other inot please let me know. FIRST TIMER!!!

I'm so glad I could help. I know what it's like with room requests...my friends tell me I'm an expert. :confused3:rotfl:

The deserted bldgs are kind of weird, but lots of guests are interested, so he's not alone. It would be a really pretty view if not for those darn bldgs.;) Still very nice.

Last summer I was put in a king HC room , 4th fl, overlooking the Hippy Dippy Flower Pool...while it was fun to be so close to Classic Hall, we missed the lake view and even walked over in the rain to see it. The rooms on that side are very relaxing. At check in, try to get a 4th floor - really nice, but 3rd is fine too! :thumbsup2

I think (if I remember right) the air blows out at the ceiling level, so it shouldn't affect anything right there. The controller is right there.

I think this was answered for you already, but I beleive Disney sells current DVD's at the gift shop, so if Bolt is still considered current then, they will most likely be selling it. But it would be cheaper to get it at a place like Target or Walmart.
Did you get the rate of 74 a night? What deal did you use. Good for you!
