Thanx, Maria! I'll be watching for your post! I'm thinking it will surely help out - especially for those of us arriving on the week-ends in the middle of the day. After the security checks at the airport and then the check-in at ME, I just hate to arrive at POP to a full lobby...and wait again for check in. No matter how fast it goes, it's never fast enough when you want to drop your stuff off in your room and head to the parks! :)

Thank you for all this information on POP! Staying there in August for the first time, and all this info has just made me more excited!

it is official too! 18 days left! Oh! One more thing Last year we got lost to find POP and I need some Directions from miami to POP Please help me!

Those who have had the late check In's after 10pm how did that go?. It looks like we our going to have a laste dinner! did you have enough time to get to the POP cafe before It closed,or we might just order pizza from our room.

Can't wait to hear from someone who has used the "on-line" check-in line at Pop!

:hippie:

I've been trying to do the on-line check-in for days now. We are scheduled to arrive Friday. I keep getting an error message that says "we are unable to retrieve your reservation at this time. Please try again later." Oh well, I guess we'll have to check in the old way.

I can't seem to find this on post #1 or on menus anywhere. Does anyone know how much orange juice and fruit are in the food court? And what kind of fruit do they have?

Thanks!!

Before I stayed at Pop Century last summer, I had only stayed at moderate resorts, specifically Coronado Springs. I was going with friends, so we decided it'd be best to stay longer at a value resort than shorter at a moderate.

I was wary to stay at PC at first because I didn't know what to expect but, at the end of the week, I ended up really enjoying and appreciating PC.

Now I'm taking my girlfriend this summer and she hasn't been to WDW since she was three, so it's really exciting :goodvibes We were originally going to stay at CS but due to low funds I decided to book us at PC instead.

She's not looking forward to the resort as much as me. She thinks it's "tacky". I keep telling her I felt the same way before I went but ended up loving it. It's really a great resort.

I can understand some of the complaints people have with it i.e. noise, low water pressure. But I guess I'm just one of those very low maintenance easily pleased people, nothing ever really bothers me; especially at WDW. I'm just always so grateful to be back I guess, nothing can get me down :yay:

I just hope the noise isn't too bad. I need my sleep. Especially if I'm walking around all day long.

I'm such an easy sleeper. I can sleep through almost ANYTHING except 1) a dripping faucet and 2) snoring; except my old dog's snoring. For some reason I could sleep through it no problem. And boy, did he snore!

I suppose that's why I never had any complaints about the resort. That and I work with kids all of the time. So I'm used to kids running around causing a ruckus.

But the noise of kids, power equipment, people talking, it doesn't bother me. I find it kind of relaxing. Like the sound of a lawn mower on a summer day: no better time to take a nap :)

we're drivin in and staying at the pop. would it be easier to drive to the parks then to wait for the buses???

I think it also depends if you have kids in a stroller. Getting them out of car ~ into the stroller over to where the tram picks you up getting them OUT of the stroller breaking it down to get on the tram and then getting them back in at the front of the park is a PITA! IMHO!

The bus is easier ~ get them out and in once.

Last year we checked in at 11:30PM or so and it was easy! No one in the lobby and got right to our room. Plus everyone fell asleep easy and was ready for the parks in the morning. We liked it so much we purposely booked our flight to come in late again.

Only thing is if you are taking ME after March...something ~ you have to get your own bags and bring them down to the ME bus stop.

I read from someone who did the online checkin and they still had to stand in line when they got there and thought it may have saved a minute or two but that is it.

I also think if you had a TA book for you you can't use it. :)

And no ~ no covered bus stops yet at Pop.

Hi Angie....
Just estimates here....but they do have orange juice ($1.50 ??), I think bananas were about $1 each ? Fruit cups were like $3; apples with dip (yogurt or caramel) was around $3.50; there was like a small container of grapes/crackers/cheese for around $5'ish ? This is the best I can recall. I might not be exact with these prices.

I wish I was like that. I think I was when I was younger. But now the only noise I can handle is white noise. I work with kids too but I don't have them around me when I'm sleeping...haha.

The noise level is one of my main concerns. But, by the end of a WDW day, we are usually sooooo tired that we can sleep anywhere!

Yeah, I'm hoping that will be the case.
