To get to another resort from Pop you would have to take a bus to one of the theme parks or DTD then transfer to another bus, monorail or boat to the resort you're trying to reach. It could take a long time. If you plan to do a lot of this rent a car.

Thanks for the all the info. It's awesome.

I will be taking my girls in December and staying at Pop for the 1st time.

I do have a few questions about info that was posted.

You said they have condiments and you included peanut butter. Is it free here?
When staying over at ASMu I had to pay 50 cents for a small container.
Also the soda fountains here have apple juice. I don't believe that ASMu has apple juice as an option.

These 2 things would be great because my girls love apple juice.

Thanks again!

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but can anyone tell me what kinds of items are available at the Grab-N-Go section of the POP food court, or where I could maybe find out that information? Thank you. :)

Thank you for the wonderful information on Pop. Right now we have our first family vacation (to Disney no less) booked in May. Our reservations now are at All Star Movies. In reading on the boards here the resort needs some major TLC. Thanks to that, I think we are going to request a move to Pop since it was always between the two. It is nice to see others that have been there recently say that Pop is still in great shape.

It's been going on for apprx 4 or 5 yrs now and with the economy the way it is this year . I think Disney will still have it in 2010 that's my opinion. I think it's a way to pull ppl in and make more money even though they are giving you free dining they must be doing good or they wouldn't keep doing so once again just an opinion from me. If they offer us bounceback in August / Sept this yr then more than likely it will be offered to the General Public it will be a good sign for you for 2010.:thumbsup2

The yalso kind of did a last minute (or so it seemed) free dining for parts of Oct, Nove and Dec. I don;t think they ever did that before, so I am guessing they were tryingto drum up some extra bussiness. I wish they would offer it for March. We are loooking at the cruise this year, but if they went free dining, I would make the switch.

anyone know the longest time it would take to get to one of the resorts from POP? im travelling with 2 kids DD2, DD5 and some people have told me to rent car because the bus service wouldnt be great for them. i'd rather spend the extra $$ on something else...but need to convince the wife that transportation at WDW isnt as bad as what my cousins told us.

I'm assuming you mean to the parks. I think the longest bus ride is to MK, and thats maybe 20 minutes. plus the time you need to wait for the bus, which could be next to nothing at times. We found that we took longer ourselves dring as we had no clue where we were going and parked the car pretty muc hte whole time. Last year we didnlt even rent one. Our DD was 2 and 3 on our past 2 trips. One of her favorite things was riding the bus, go figure. LOL!

You may be in luck or something like it with the way the economy has been. I think we will see alot of offers from disney this year that we haven't seen at different times in the past if the are doing the 4/3 over spring break why not something in march too? That's my theory.

When I was there in September, indeed I noticed the little PB pods by the toaster in the morning, which is outside of the area where you pick up food to purchase. I also had apple juice every morning myself!

In fact, I checked everything that I have up on Post #1 to make sure it was current after I returned. There were a few things that got changed, but for the most part, everyone here is great at informing us if there's a change. If there is something different that a couple of people (for validation it's really a change and likely not a one-time scenario) mention, I run over to Post #1 to make the adjustment. We all know things do change from time-to-time! So as a reminder, please, anyone, post it here or PM me if something changes!

Wow! Your first family vacation will be to Disney World! You are really setting the bar up high! :thumbsup2 You must be overjoyed! I hope you have a GREAT time!!!

Hi AngelI will also be at Pop in May !! Their are a few threads for those going in May that may (excuse the pun) help you even more on May plans !! I agree this is an awesome thread . Last Feb when I was at Pop I copied the prices for the Arcade and Buckeye added it to Post 1 . This is done by many and is why this thread is sooooo informative !! I love Pop. I just talked to a driver for the Pharmacy who delivers to our Agency and he stayed at Pop last month and said the buses at Pop have AllStars beat !!

Does anyone know the exact space between the 2 beds at Pop? I'm trying to figuire out if one of those kids blow up beds will fit or this other cushion thing we have (it's like a cushion chair that folds into a bed). My nearly 3yo is way to big for a pack-n-play!

TIA!!!

I believe that I read the space is 30" or so. My son will turn two during our trip in May. We are about to switch from ASMo to Pop (for several reasons). There is no way that my son will sleep in a pack-n-play either. We are requesting bed rails to avoid both of our sleeping movers from falling out of bed. You may want to try that as an option. Mind you I have to admit, I wonder if anyone has seen the bed rails to know how well they work with kids.

I don't recall the exact space but I do recall posters stating that the kids blow ups fit perfect i don't remember if it was between beds or the bed closest to the bathroom because there is a pretty nice space between the bed nearest the bathroom and the wall.:)

If you are talking about using Disney buses I was always told to give 45 minutes to get to or from where you were going and at times had apprx 15 to 20 minutes to buy when we got there. So I would say that would be your best bet using disney trans but remember it could go quicker if you get there sooner just be sure to sign in or let them know you are there because we sometimes also got taken sooner if we were there earlier. I use Disney Transportation always and never rent a car and have never had a problem. The key is in the planning of time to get to and from your destination. Hope this helps you out! :thumbsup2From resort to parks tops was 15 minutes!

If you're talking about from POP to the parks, you should have no problem with using the busses. Some people prefer to have a car, but we didn't really see any reason for it. We had our own car (we drove to FL), but we did not use it once the entire time we were there. We had three little kids (and two strollers) and had no issues with the busses. As someone else said, the longest bus ride is to MK (15 or so minutes). Some of the other parks and DTD were about 5 minutes. We went in May (over Memorial Day) and we never waited more than a few minutes for a bus. Usually everyone waiting fit on the first bus. And times when the lines were very long we usually saw a second bus pulling up to the stop right after.

You were not replying to me, but I wanted to thank you. We just switched our May 9-16 reservations to Pop Century from ASMo. We were warned by our travel agent that the buses were not the best at Pop when she was there. A bit alarming to us traveling with two children 5 and will be 2 during out trip. It is reassuring to hear that a person with strollers was happy enough to use the buses during a potentially crowded time at Disney (we are renting a double for our stay from outside Disney). Thanks so much! To us the activities at Pop looked like so much fun.

I think yo uare right. I do beleive on one of the old Groovy pop threads it was posted that kid sized blowup sit perfectly between the beds, but twin size ones do not.

I slept on a twin blow up in December, but I put it between the window/table and the first bed. We could open the door up, but people had to step over my feet. There were 4 of us (all adult ladies) and I didn't want to share one of the twin beds so I opted for the twin blow up which didn't sleep half bad.....LOL!! :rolleyes1

All I recall reading, thus adding to Post #1, is that a twin size blow up bed does not fit between the two beds, yet a Pack 'N Play fits with approximately 1.5" to spare. According to Graco's website, the units are 28.5", so the 30" TheAngelForever thought she read is probably correct.

If someone who is going soon wouldn't mind taking a tape measure with them, it would be great to get official validation and an exact measurement to include in our wealth of info!

Hi, I was at the Pop this past week (12/30-31) and it didn't seem like my bed in the Pop was new (Rm 4463,60's). It was really soft and made alot of noise every time I moved. It was the bed closest to the door. My husband said the other bed seemed much better(my son didn't complain!) So maybe they missed that bed!:) Anyway, the Pop was nice, but I didn't get to explore it as much as I would've liked. I guess I will have to go back and explore it better!

I don't think you have anything to worry about with Pop and transportation to be perfectly honest we were there the first week of free dining in august and it was indeed busy and no problem with buses! There were times where the one bus was loading ppl and another pulled up right beside(aka piggybacked) and loaded more ppl! So honestly I think you will be just fine!

Hello everyone! I am taking my daughter (18 yrs old) for the first time to DW Dec 15-21 but I have a question. How are you all getting these 40% off in the mail.
I am on Disney's mailing list, I was just there last month, maybe that has something to do with it, with me just being there.
I also have booked our trip, this year will be the first time I asked for a Pref. Room but I also asked for a ground level because of health problems. Can someone tell me where the Pref. Rooms are? I would really like the 50's building facing the pool.
