We just booked Pop for Sept. 24th - 30th(crossing our fingers for free dining)!!!!!! We have stayed at CBR and ASMO in the past this will be our first time at POP. There are 6 of us in total, do they have connecting rooms???? My sister booked her ressie first and I am going to link mine with hers. Can we request connecting rooms? Is there only one bus stop for the entire resort? I am so excited to finally have a countdown in my signature once again, I am doing the countdown dance

Yes they have connecting rooms. Yes you can make a request for one. Yes there is one bus stop for the resort.

Re: Bus stop -- there is only one Bus stop area, with individual bus queues (sp?) for each destination. All the buses stop in the same area, but in specific spots for each park.

We were there this past Dec. Pop Warner week. Not too bad. I'll post some pics later. I didn't have no PC for a while there. We had a blast as usual, but this year my DS will be entering High School, so it will be hard for him to come this year in the beginning of Dec. So it may be just me and DW going for our 1st visit alone since our honeymoon in 86..Wow. We did expierence a lil longer wait time for the busses then usual, but other then that and no direct route that week to the WWoS venue makes it tuff to go back and forth. I did take the advice of someone here to use the cab service, which I did alot about $10 incl. tip each way. Was cheaper then renting car for the week. Weather was pretty good too. 1 day of rain, mild temps.

Can someone tell me what the closest store (grocery type) would be to POP and what a good estimate would be for a cost of a cab to get there and back?

This is what I intend to fax them... does this seem reasonable?
for our 4 night stay April 28-May 2

"request: 4137-4159, 5113-5136, 3137-3159 or 1137-1159"

does that give them enough options?

Should I add the text of:
"1st floor, non-preferred, 50's or 60's"

or are the room numbers enough?

thanks!

I just wanted to give you another option. We ordered from garden grocer last year and they deliver it right to your resort for you. We'll be doing that again this year, and I'm guessing it's cheaper than a cab both ways. Good luck!

thanks, I will look into that

On the cab cost, Is there a avg to the taxi cost to get around the world like 10per trip or so? from park to park or to DTD? etc.

When I faxed my request, I just put a general location "ground floor in building XX or XX, I got what I wanted a perfect spot

I wouldn't put all those room numbers in the request. Just pick a building number, floor, and maybe view. For instance, Bldg 1 (50's), 4th flr, parking lot view.

I'm not sure what it would cost. You can call Mears and tell them the resort your staying at, where you want to go and they can give you an estimate. Thats what I did for our trip in Dec. They said anywhere from $7-$8 each way POP-WWos which was rigth on and w/tip I gave $10 each time. I had the same driver 4 out of the 5 mornings.

i wouldn't request specific room numbers.

We took a cab from POP to the GF in December and it was almost $20 including tip. That might give you rough estimate of how much it is to get from Pop to MK.

All Ears suggest you DON'T give room numbers. But some do and stil lget what they want.

I still bring my hair dryer even though I think the ones in the room work great. You just never know.

Funny story that this post just reminded me of. During our trip in December 2008 my family of four had a connecting room with my parents. My Mom doesn't normally dry her hair but she told me that her dryer wasn't working. I went into check it out and told her that next time she ought to try plugging it in! :rotfl:

That is funny!

The hairdryers supplied at all the resorts do not work for my baby fine hair ~ the dryers just do not get hot enough, so always take one along.

I don't usually take a hair dryer, as we have always flown, making me minimize what I packed. But both Sissy and I have long hair, which takes a good while to dry. The vanity area gets a little crowded with 2 adults and an 8 y-o trying to groom, shave and dry hair. Since we are driving this time, I am seriously considering taking a drier from home. At least we can move over into the bedroom area and get out of the way! ;)

Have a great trip!
