We left Haunted Mansion and cut through Fantasyland. The lines were all too long to wait in. But Mickeys Philharmagic was just about to start so we hurried up in there. This is where a
scooter can be a pain in the behind! One CM sent us down the back row, but once we got so far another CM said there were no more spots down there. I couldnt turn around so I was trying to back up. By that time the lights were out. Well, the back wall isnt flat. I was doing real well (for me) backing up in a straight line, but neither of the CMs or my husband bothered to tell me that there was a pole or something sticking out of the wall and BAM I backed right into it.

I was fairly close to the entrance of the row and one of the CMs asked if I could walk and they took their tiny little flashlight and found us a couple seats in the theater. Of course Danny had to pout through the whole show because when things dont go his way he turns into a 3 year old.

So what is typically a nice enjoyable show was not so much this time. Then when it was over we had to go back to the back row and rescue my scooter.
Then it was off to to Tomorrowland and yet another classic favorite
We love this show. When Ryne was little and was absolutely terrified of everything (Captain I believe you can relate to a child like this!) The Man and the Dog was about the only thing he would happily sit through. We have to see this every trip, sometimes we even have to sing along!
I wasnt feeling 100% and hadnt been most of the day. I think that Tonga Toast was just way too sweet to eat on an empty stomach. And frankly, we just werent feeling the Magic. Initially I had wanted to stay and watch the Main Street Electrical Parade because we hadnt seen it in years, but we just werent feeling the Magic Kingdom love. Danny was feeling the Vinylmation love however, and we spent a lot of time in shops that sell the cute little hunks of plastic.
I think we rode Space Mountain, which I think the way my stomach was feeling was probably not the smartest idea.

I know we spent considerable time in the Space Mountain gift shop looking at the Vinylmations. Danny was still on a quest for the 2nd DVC exclusive Vinylmation. On our first night we had stopped at the gift shop/grocery store at the Boardwalk and asked about the DVC exclusive. The CM said she had one of them, but not the other. From that statement we assumed there were two different designs. Plus I had seen artwork online for 3 different ones, so we thought it was safe to assume there was another one out there. The gal at Space Mountain was unaware of any, but they dont usually sell the exclusive ones.
From there we went to the gift shop that Stitch dumps into and tried again. This CM was beyond helpful. She made phone calls, and when that didnt work, she ran over to the DVC tour person and asked them. I sat around in there forever waiting on her. When she came back she said they are only available at the DVC resorts or at D-Street on the West Side.
Thwarted in our Vinylmation search we went to Cosmic Rays for a late lunch. I was thrilled to see the Cheesesteak was back on the menu
.until I got it. The one I used to know and love was yummy. It had melted cheese and green peppers. This was a pile of meat with a ladle of cheese sauce poured over it. It was ok, but not what I had been looking forward to. I also got a chocolate milk which I gulped down first thinking it might help settle my stomach. Then a diet coke to go with the meal and to go.
While we were eating we discussed our options. Do we want to hang out here and wander aimlessly around or do we want to go Downtown. We hadnt been yet this trip.
Downtown won
..but it won by way of Old Key West. Danny wanted to go there first and check out their gift shop.
So after just a few hours of MK we headed out to the bus stop. The one place I was avoiding this trip. But it was the middle of the afternoon so we figured it wouldnt be too bad. I hate loading the scoter on the buses. Its the worst part of any trip. We get to the bus stop and an OKW bus is sitting there. We hustle up to it, and its an old bus with a lift. And she is parked so the back door is too close to the fences and stuff for me to get turned around and back into it. For once Danny takes pity on me and lets me get off, he puts it in freewheel and gets it turned around and loaded and rides up with it and gets it parked. I try to tell the driver that I can take the steps but she insists that I ride the lift up.
Once the scooter is tied down she tries to put the lift back into steps and it wont work. My nightmare come true! She runs it up and down and tries all sorts of things and it just wont work. Some guy in the back asks if there is anything he can do the driver was a short little gal and she was trying to kick at the bottom flap that wasnt laying flat. He finally was able to help her get it and we were off.
At OKW we go in their gift shop. This is our original home resort, and until just a few years ago, the only resort we ever stayed at. We saw lots of nice shirts and things that we liked, but restrained ourselves. Then he moved in for the kill
..or rather he sent me over. I went to the counter closest to the exit and asked about the DVC exclusive Vinylmations. They had the same one we had. We told them we already had that one, but had heard there was a second one that we were looking for. Well, other than the OKW-themed CM there were some suits there too. They said there had only been one DVC themed one issued so far. That it was numbered 1 so that led to some confusion, but that was in case they released more in the future.
I hate to think how much time we wasted looking for that goofy little thing that doesnt even exist.
Since boats are easier than buses we took the boat to Downtown Disney. And floated by the inspiration for the decorating in my bathroom
We were still going to check out the mother lode of Vinylmations at this D-Street store! And holy cow! That place was full of them
..not only the ones the had for sale, but all the displays they had of them and the artwork they had made out of them. Danny was in Vinylmation heaven!
We left with 3 of them well 4. Normally they are about 10 or so apiece. But when you buy exclusive ones they are higher. We got the two Annual Passholder exclusinves one was Mr Toad, and the other was Orange Bird. Danny did not remember orange bird. When I was little Grandma had gone to Florida and brought me back a necklace of Orange Bird. And I remember commercials for orange juice that had Orange Bird in them. I didnt realize until now that it was a Disney creation, and that there even used to be an Orange Bird character that would meet and greet in Adventureland over by the Citurs place. We also got some Combo pack according to the receipt. I dont remember now what it was I am thinking one of them was Fantasia Mickey, but I dont know what came with it.
From there we went over to the World of Disney where we got some more decals and antenna toppers for the vehicles, looks like Danny got a Xmas Cd and I got the book about the windows on Main Street, and we got the new afghan throw. Now we have Mickey and Minnie by the fireplace (from 2009) on the couch and Mickey and Minnie out ice skating on the love seat.
We checked out of there at 6:38. We debated going back to Pleasure Island/West Side to catch the bus since we figured there would be fewer people there that early, or go on to the Marketplace stop so we could have a better chance at getting the scooter seat. Marketplace side won.
I think this was fairly uneventful. We had one trip where we sat at the bus stop forever and they finally called in a 100 year old man to drive us from the Marketplace to the other side only to get off and turn the bus over to someone else. But I dont think that was on this trip.
I do know since we are the Epcot area resorts we were making multiple stops. We deicded to bail at the Swan and walk back to Boardwalk from there. We told the driver and while she was unhooking us another family asked us if you could walk to Boardwalk from Swan we told them that yes you could and that was what we were going to do. They decided to get off also.
The path that we took, took us right through some private party that was set up on the sidewalk. There was no way to avoid it, so Im sure whoever they were and whatever they were doing they were interrupted. I think it was some Insurance thing, and they werent having a program, it looked like a cocktail party. I still felt bad rolling through their festivities, but I didnt set up the sidewalks.
The other family followed us back to the Boardwalk and thanked us. Danny ran in to the shop and got a couple more bottles of soda (at 7:42) and we called it a night.
Not a terribly exciting day.
The next day was his Golf Tournament and I was planning to do more Food & wine Festival, so an early night wasnt so bad. Im sure once we were in the room more laundry was done, and the dishwasher was probably either loaded or unloaded. Danny would have downloaded all the pictures not htat there were very many this day and off to bed.
