Marna- Did you guys stay put without the power? Is everyone thawing out? Glad you are back to normal and nice to see you back. I could swear there HAS been chatting going on; maybe it's been on the freebie thread.......![]()
I think I'm gonna have to visit LAST week's freebie thread to see what ya'll have been up to.
Yes, we did stay home and were quite comfy. I'm a country girl through and through. We had wood heat and I have a gas cooktop and a gas hot water heater. DH had to do a little MacGyvering to get the hot weater heater to come on since it has an electric starter, but he did get it to work for very short showers and he didn't burn the house down, so that's a plus.
The biggest problem, naturally, was keeping the kids entertained. We play doughed, scrabbled, painted, colored, read books, slid around outside on the ice and generally went insane.
Kellie-hope the work situation improves and hope you get your disney trip soon. Think positve about the MRI and we'll all send pixie dust your way.
Theresa-sorry about vehicle problems. I'm hoping we can get several more years out of our two junkers.
Hopefully I will have
news to report and not
. I have to share- my dog Buttercup is by my side, and boy is her breath bad!!! I am at a loss over what to do about it. My vet wants to do a cleaning, but it is way out of my budget. We brush her teeth at home, but I'm not sure how effective it is. Can you give your dogs altoids? Do they make any breath stuff that works? Seriously, it smells like
DH will not stay at a value so I need a good deal on a Mod or mt dream hotel of GF.
for all who need them and some pixie

.
Losing a pet is so difficult, especially when you are home alone with them all day long. They become part of you. We miss her terribly and are trying to deal with it one day at a time. This was the first 'real' loss for DD, and it hit her much harder than she expected, as it did me. The house feels empty and cold.
