I am told that Michael was beaten because he would not give in to the rape. He doesn't want his father to know that he was targetted for this, and thats why he says he was beaten by a guard. If he had been raped, Jason would have reacted differently. Disney, who owns the network would not allow the rape storyline. But, for the time being, the writers are leaving the implication out there. It will be cleared up later.

Nikolas-seriously, I want him to go bad Casadine. When he told Elizabeth that the days of her telling him what to do-can't recall the exact wording-were over, I was like, just lock up the little wench in the castle- ha ha. I loved how he pointed out that she seemed to like the turret room a lot when she said she hated the castle.

Interesting...but they sure made it look like he was raped. He was almost catatonic when Jason arrived. He refused to tell Jason the whole story about the "fight." Then they showed him in the medical unit having blood drawn. They don't draw blood from every guy who gets into a fight. But they do draw it from guys who are raped to get a baseline in case they contract HIV. My mom is a retired jail nurse and explained it after watching that scene. It will be interesting to see how it plays out, although I am rather disgusted that they would do that to the character.

I agree, they were absolutely depicting a jailhouse rape. Now that might be changed but that was what they were going for when they shot those scenes.

I get sick of the same old stuff too but jail house rape is not "new territory" that I'm interested in entering.

Kristina's teen abuse could have been really expanded on and been a compelling story. We could actually see some of her recovery.

Michael shot in the head, Michael raped...it isn't just enjoyable TV.

I'm ok with soaps doing socially conscience stories & emotional stories. BJ's death, Robin contracting HIV, Elizabeth's rape but I don't know...this one just isn't sitting right with me. It crosses a line, I guess. I'm worried that they won't do it right and make it a joke. And I HATE that this will be part of Sonny's sphere. It'll be all about how Sonny couldn't survive jail so Michael got assaulted....poor Sonny, his son was raped in prison. Then MB will get to over act and throw glassware and scream at women but not be abusive

SNEAK PEEK WEEK OF JUNE 7 (ABC Hotsheet)

**Michael finally tells Jason that it was Carter who attacked him. Good news for Jason, because now he knows who the enemy is. But bad news for Michael, perhaps, who's still in danger.

Look for Carter to make the biggest mistake of his life when he attacks Jason. It's an epic confrontation between the two men -- one that could earn Jason a life sentence in solitary confinement. How far will he go to protect Michael? Also: Look for Jason to get a message from an old acquaintance. An old ... artistic acquaintance ...

Meanwhile, Carly continues to pull the strings with Brook Lynn, pushing her hard to come between Dante and Lulu. Brook Lynn moves in next door to Dante -- and before the week is over, she'll pull off the oldest trick in the book: locking herself out of her apartment dressed only in a skimpy towel.

I can't remember but was Sonny "abusive" to Brenda? Since it reads like this is a route they are taking with how Sonny acts I was trying to remember if he ever treated Brenda that way. Now I do remember times that he yelled at her and I'm sure he called her some nasty names but I also remember Brenda giving it back to him and doing some things that weren't exactly angelic.

Wonder how Carly's going to like Brenda being back..... I may just have to tune back in for that!
