The Fabby LapuLapuettes Part IV: My Pineapple Needs a Refill!

I rung in the New Year playing Disney Scene It and affirming my status as Disney freak amongst the rest of our young couple's sunday school class...I don't think I'm playing that game with non-converters ever again...LOL

Spent yesterday scrapbooking...loved every minute!!

Wishing all the Lapuettes a very Happy New Year!!!!!!!

We had a pretty low key New Year's too. I am not a huge fan of the holiday, I always feel like I should be doing more or something more special. Even Marc noted that it feels like a disappointment every year. :lmao:

Hopefully today will be a low key relaxing day for you at work!! :goodvibes

I used to feel the same way. None of my friends were New Year's people either. I used to volunteer to work at the theater New Year's eve to avoid hassles. I have finally come to terms with the fact I just don't care. :rotfl:

I am bored out of my mind at work. Spending more time making lists for my Disney trip next December.:)

Lists are fun! Are you going to do another PTR?? :worship:

Hi Lapus!

I just got back from grocery shopping. It was crazy-busy.:confused3 But, the over-abundance of people in the store meant the workers couldn't clog up the aisles with palettes!!

Think I'm going to do some more scrapbooking this afternoon. I'm still working on the Disney trip pics so it puts me in a happy mood to work with them!

We just got back from grocery shopping, well Marc grocery shopped while I went and ran some other errands. He said it was nutso in there and that nothing was stocked, he's pretty disgruntled right now. :lmao:

Yes, as soon as I come up with a title. :rotfl: Seriously, it's driving me nuts I can't come up with anything I like.
Okay. Operation Title. We must come up with something! I want a new PTR to read!!

Okay, it's official. I am twitching like a leaf in the wind -- Connor has had a friend over all day, and they are sooo loud. It's raining and wet outside so I can't make them go outside.

At one point Charles was laughing at me and saying, "Make the bad noises stop. Make the bad noises stop."

I get to take him home at 5:00 -- it can't come soon enough.

Especially as I my mind is in list and planning overdrive. Seriously, how do people plan trips in Disney in just a few weeks? I'm still disgruntled that I can no longer make ADR's at 180 days.

Okay, it's official. I am twitching like a leaf in the wind -- Connor has had a friend over all day, and they are sooo loud. It's raining and wet outside so I can't make them go outside.

I don't blame you. I didn't think that happened with boys though. Usually it's that high pitch girlish screetches and giggles that are painful to me. I refuse to think that I was ever like that however. :rolleyes1 I'm thinking my mom will beg to differ with me though.

I am so ready to get out of work today. Everyone is gone already. The cleaning people came at about 2 (normally they don't get here until nearly 5). The mailroom made their last run at 3 (normally 7). Making us work a full day is just horribly painful. I feel the worst though for one guy in my department who has to stay until 7. Ugh!

I did walk up to World of Disney today. I put $40 on my gift card, bringing my total up to $220. I want to put about $500 on the one for my food for my trip just to be on the safe side. And so that I can maybe do some around the world cocktail testing. :thumbsup2 I don't want to find myself short on money when I'm there. I'm still a week or two behind putting money on the card so I need to put a bit extra on the next week or two to get caught up. Plus whatever I don't spend on food, can go towards souvies!

:rotfl: :lmao: ...I'm sorry, I don't mean to laugh at your misfortune but I can SOOOO relate!! My DS9 has this circle of friends (basically every boy in his class; remember we live in a very small town!) and another mom and I have this secret between us that her son is always welcome at my house and vice versa, because they are the two quiet kids! The other boys are on an unwritten "list" in descending order of "moderate" noise level to "I need to be mentally prepared and take 2 aspirin before he arrives"!!:rotfl2:

And, the worst part is, we have months of winter where they often can't go outside due to weather....:headache:

HOLY CARP!!! I GOT A PIN CODE IN THE MAIL!!!

I have NO money and no plans for a disney trip on the forseeable horizon but it's 40% off room only code and I have 3 day hopper passes for three of us from years ago that don't expire so it's practically free right???

I have to go right?

RIGHT???

If I book way way way in advance, I could pay a teensie eensie bit out of each of my pay checks for the rest of my life I would not even feel it right?

then it wouldn't even hurt right?

It's 40%...

It's a PIN code...

Mickey misses me

maybe I could go alone (it's been that kind of day :rotfl: )

:cloud9:

Can I say how jealous I am? I'm really trying to will a 40% code off into my mailbox for my Dec. trip.

Oh, I was so glad to take him home -- the rest of the night was so quiet and peaceful.

What a great idea to do a giftcard for food and souvies. I might have to do that!

Normally, Connor and his friends go off to play quietly, but for some reason, yesterday, they wanted to hang out in the living room and play XBox. It was soooo loud. Yick.

Yes, you have to use it. It's meant to be. ;)

Ok Lapuettes since we are discussing spending money that we really don't have I need to toss out my own current dilemma (no, it's not a trip to Disney and I have never, ever gotten a pin code....I want a pin code!).

My dad will turn 80 in February. His wife is throwing him a surprise party at the end of January and of course would love for me to be there. I've been tossing the idea of a "brief weekend visit" around with my dad but obviously I can't divulge the real reason. Long story short: there are some really good deals on a flight right now, but I don't "really" have that money "available." It would mean either pulling it from the budget of something else (most likely the propane fund) or else DH putting it on his cc, which is already filling up too fast.

But it's my dad's 80th b-day party (and I might add that he's outlived all three of his siblings).

And it's a quick trip to FL, albeit brief.

But still, given our current financial situation, I just cringe to think of spending money on a plane ticket.

WWYD??????

I would go. It's one of those "there might not be a next time" things. Things can change so quickly with older folks and I'd hate for you to regret not going over $300 bucks.

Oh goodness, I would play around with the numbers and see what you come up with. :thumbsup2

I would go, as much as it stinks to pull from somewhere else or put on a CC, I think you'd regret not going.

I agree with everybody. If I were in your shoes and i could swing it somehow I would go.

My dd's name is Alexia, I was already calling her Lexi before she was born but dh refused. He insisted her name was Alexia that is what he called her. Well after she was about 3 months old he slipped one day and called Lexi and ever since then he calls her that too.

Ours is Alexandra, and Lexi just became the natural short derivation- we thought about Lexy for a bit but I couldn't look at it without seeing 'sexy' and I'm sorry but I can't get behind that for my baby! :rotfl:

HOLY CARP!!! I GOT A PIN CODE IN THE MAIL!!!

SO JEALOUS! I'm itching for a Pin code or bounceback so we can book another trip in October during MNSSHP and F&W!

Y'all should have warned me more about Twilight. I mean I knew when I finally read it I'd love it, but I mean I LOVE IT. So much that I started reading Twilight at 11 am yesterday and I couldn't stop myself from staying up till the wee hours of the morning to finish up New Moon. Both books, one day.

Obsessed much?

So I still needed the other two that are out (there are only four now, right?!), and since my son (who I got the first two books for for Christmas) needed gifts still for Three Kings Day on the 6th... I bought him the remaining two and I'm totally reading them during the next three days before I give t hem to him. :rolleyes1

And I think I'll take him out to get a haircut tomorrow where we'll make a completely spur of the moment decision to see the movie...

I agree, I would go if there is any way to manage it... regret sucks!

It's a sickness, I tell 'ya... it's bad. I read them every day for months over and over not to mention Midnight Sun and then the movie... :scared: I seem to have transferred the disease to Sookie Stackhouse somewhat, although I picked up New Moon this week for the first time since Thanksgiving (my daughter lent the series to my SIL then - it pained me for the books to leave the house - but I thought I would looks nuts to say no - and I just got them back after New Years...I was not happy)

I am secretly investigating pin code deal numbers and fuzzy disney math tomorrow while DH isn't home
