Good morning, Lapuettes! How are you this morning?

I have inlaws coming over to fondue tonight so I have got to get my act together. I cleaned and cleaned already, but there is always stuff that needs putting away, etc.

I really just want to be lazy today.

Me too CP!! However only a few more days of break and my list is almost as long as it was before LOL!! So I'm thinking I'll be getting some things done today!

Totally with you on the lazy thing. DS was supposed to sleep over my parents tonight, but given the storm, it's a no go. Roads are terrible, it was not fun to drive in on my way home from work. And I was so looking forward to a relaxing day tomorrow.

Actually the thought of spending six hours with my in-laws is less than thrilling to me. I really don't want to do this. Tomorrow won't be quite as stressful since it will be my parents coming over (although Charles would say differently).

We actually do a meat fondue -- we heat the cooking oil up in the fondue pots and there are several sauces to dip it in. We have baked potatoes and salad with it. For dessert, my MIL is bringing homemade ice cream.

Well here I am ladies. I have been distracted from the dis by the Sookie books. Monday night my dh said I could go and have the evening to myself. I had a gift card for b&n and saw a huge display of them so I got the first 2. I am loving them. Hope everyone has a great New Years.

One of my co-workers just saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and said it was amazing. Long, though, about three hours.

You know what's really funny? When DS woke up from his nap, he wanted to watch Kung Fu Panda. I guess it's a very Asian themed night in the TK household. Perhaps we should watch Pirates 3 next, given that they go to Singapore!

We did. It was uneventful but nice. We had BBQ Chicken Polenta, shocking right? And we watched a couple of movies. How about you?

Oh, I passed out at 9, I was such a lightweight! Didn't even have a drop of champagne. Ah well. It was a very nice evening though, we all watched Kung Fu Panda, and had Chinese take out. When that was over, DS wanted to watch Wall E and even though it wouldn't be done until later, I told DH let's just let him, it's New Years.

So it wasn't the evening we had planned, but it was very nice nevertheless.
