The Fabby LapuLapuettes Part IV: My Pineapple Needs a Refill!

I really enjoyed the commentary for Pirates, but I'm a big fan of the audio commentaries anyways. Even on films I don't like. I always have to watch the movie and then the commentary.

I'm starting to get more into the audio commentary. I can't wait until Twilight comes out on DVD so I can hear that one! I heard it's the lead actors and the director, and they're just having a ball making fun of themselves so it sounds like a good time. :goodvibes

You just cannot beat Jack's eyes.....

.

Eyes, hair, smile, swagger.

Overall, it's just so lovely.

I will just say that there is a scene in the third one where I went all, "Well, hello there Will Turner." :rolleyes1

I won't say anymore since I don't want to ruin it for anyone...

Huh. I'd love to know what part that is. Want to PM me?

Lookin' forward to it! :thumbsup2

How was your day?

Oh fine. I got to stay home which is a plus -- first time this entire vacation, I think.

I organized my trip binder, filled in the front cover of my Passporter, read, took a nap, and the kids and I took Nala outside to play for quite awhile -- it was warm and sunny and Nala was having a blast. Afterwards she smelled like sunshine and puppy -- I wish I could bottle that scent.

Oh, that sounds like such a great day!

How was your day?

We had a good time. Went to visit my grandparents, then took DS to the mall to play at the playscape. There were way too many kids there (and some a little too old for the playscape if you know what I mean) so we didn't stay there long. After checking out the puppy store and a little stint in Barnes and Noble, we headed to McDonald's to get lunch. Ate there, played in that playscape, and finally came home. All in all, a very nice day. And DS really needed to get out. With DH home, and him not having preschool, we just haven't gotten that little boy energy out a lot, you know?

That sounds lovely, too. I know what you mean about little boy energy...Connor needed to run off some outside, too. He was starting to get on everyone's nerves.

Okay, I'm sort of glad you said that! Yesterday, DS was an absolute you know what. And he's in the process of gradually giving up nap time, but he was beastly! We made him take on yesterday, and no joke, he was out in fifteen minutes. It's a weird balance we have going on, you know? Some days napping and okay, other days flat out exhausted, and cranky.

And SO MUCH ENERGY! :lmao:

Hey guys. Just wanted to let you all know that Tink wanted me to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

She actually wrote something much more witty, but I'm having trouble remembering it word for word and wouldn't want to misquote her, since her wit is really...well, her own. :lmao:

Anyway, she's hoping you're all doing well, and if all goes well with her, she's planning to re-enter the land of the DIS real soon. :goodvibes

I do so miss the days when the kids took naps...at least they let me go off and nap now when I want to.

I hope she is able to head back soon...I want to know how the rest of her trip went.

Question~

How much time out of my day do you think it will take to eat at 'Ohana, coming from MK?

Is the boat faster or monorail?

Is the boat faster or monorail?

We've done both -- the monorail is faster because the boat stops at the Grand Floridian first.

It depends -- are you thinking breakfast or dinner? I would think a couple of hours.

I'm thinking early dinner...we want to be back in time to get spots for Spectro.

I can't believe my planning has gotten so specific! :yay:

Trixie---I like doing early dinners at Ohana's when we have spent the day at MK---you can stop for a much needed break, and then when you head back refreshed, things will be slowing down at the park as others stop for dinner. I think it is a good place to eat on an MK day---I would definitely do the Monorail!

2SP---Request staying around the HH area of OKW---we stayed in bldg. 14 last year, and it was GREAT!!!! I think bldgs. 11-14 or 15 are considered the HH area. (HH=Hospitality House) You will be close to the main pool area, the bus stop, the restaurant and counter service, and gift shop. It far surpassed our expectations---we enjoyed our stay! One note---if you don't want to do steps after a long day at the park, request a 1st floor room---no elevator at OKW!

 Thank you so much for all the invaluable advice, it is much appreciated. I am transferingfrom your post to my wee file of trip info as we speak:thumbsup2 . BTW do you have any picies of OKW you could post for me?

Well, at least I have some faint glimmer of hope! I tried to nap on the couch last week while DS was watching a movie.

Not so much. :lmao:

Me, too! Funny that, of all the things we discuss, that's not one of them. I like to read along with everyone else. :goodvibes

Is the boat faster or monorail?

I'm with CP, I think the monorail is faster as well. And I've read some great things about Ohana, so enjoy. :goodvibes

Fate again??? :rolleyes1

Yes. You are destined to eat at CRT! :cloud9:

Hey Lapuettes!

Well, I'm off to work! I don't know why I put an exclamation point there, it's not that exciting. :lmao:

But what is exciting is the coming new year! Time for new chances, choices, new beginnings.

I hope you all have a wonderful New Years Eve and ring in 2009 in whatever way makes you happiest. :goodvibes

Tell her I said Happy New Year! I miss her around here. I think of her everytime I use the word "carp" these days. :rotfl: (Which is an awful lot).

I would plan two hours for a meal and to get back.

That sounds about right. My last time was a bit longer there, but that's because the service that night was horrendous. My first time at Ohana (in 97) was fantastic.

Good morning, Lapuettes! How are you this morning?

I have inlaws coming over to fondue tonight so I have got to get my act together. I cleaned and cleaned already, but there is always stuff that needs putting away, etc.

I really just want to be lazy today.
