Ahhh the YC is my very favourite resort at WDW. Sounds like a wonderful trip!!

As for my schooling... it's complicated. Since my freshman year I have actually switched schools and switched majors multiple times but I have finally settled on Psychology with a minor in Linguistics and will hopefully be done next spring if everything goes according to plan. But how often does that happen? I was really, really, really close to taking a cruise ship dance contract (I posted on the CB for advice about it a few weeks ago) but decided to turn it down because I really want to get started on grad school and finish my Bachelors as quickly as I can.

I really do enjoy school and I love my school and my professors and my classes and I have a great job but I am really looking forward to being able to work full time and have a degree and not have to worry about money so much. It really does get better, right?

Good morning Ev/Nots. I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. I didn't do much. I worked on a craft project that I think came out okay. I'm cutting Tibetan prayer rags and framing them to go into my office at work.

I also got out my carryon luggage and cleaned it. I should have done it when I got home from China but was not motivated. But it's looking good again and it will be ready for my 2 upcoming vacations.

I'm not feeling good today (and didn't yesterday either). I can't tell if it's bad allergies or a cold as they feel the same. I'm at work for now but I may make it a short day.

Hi everyone! We got back Sunday from a week up north and have spent yesterday and today unpacking, getting the laundry done and PACKING SCHOOL BACKPACKS. Tomorrow is the first day back for my two and since we moved over the summer a new bus route and driver. They go to school the next city over so they won't have to change schools. In fact DS will have four friends from his grade on this bus with him. DD is friends with one of the girls from his class, so all good there.

Tomorrow I'm going to do NOTHING but bask in the first day since we moved (the day after school let our in June) that I will have peace and quiet. You'll note I didn't say "the house to myself". DH works from home and I NEVER, EVER get that, but at least he's quiet and seldom wrestles with the dogs, thumps up and down the stairs, screams from one end of the house to the other or bangs the basement door repeatedly.

The day after I'll start my living room and dining room painting projects but for one day I am going to do nothing. Well, DIS if course, but nothing else.

I am kind of sad, though that the kiddos don't want me to drive them to school. I've always driven them first and last days but they're so excited about this bus thing that they don't want to wait one more day.

Rodeo, enjoy your quiet day. We are redecorating too. DH painted our living & dining rooms already. I'm waiting for my furniture before I decide on curtains & lighting. Furniture should be delivered Friday. I'm almost as excited about my new living room as I am about my vacation!

Of course my pictures are never complete without a story:

This is Flat Sharon. Sharon is my assistant at work; she has worked for me for 13 years. She is close to my age, married with no children. Her husband is a tool. She has never been anywhere because the tool does not want to vacation. So I made a Flat Sharon and she travels with me. I take pictures of her and then I make scrapbooks of her vacation, complete with comments that Sharon would make. Flat Sharon has been to WDW, England, France, and China now.

I know it's really sad. She wants to go to Disneyworld so badly. I have offered her my DVC points and airline miles to go but the tool refuses and she won't go without him.

The worst story was last year when they were in the desert in Nevada (that's how he likes to vacation). She has always wanted to go to Las Vegas so he compromised and drove down the strip on their way home so that she could look out the car window and see the hotels. The tool wouldn't even stop for an hour.

Can you tell how much I like him?

I am completely craving Disney food right now as my tomato sandwich for lunch didn't really cut it. I could totally go for a Spicy Kazan Roll at the California Grill. My favourite restaurant at WDW!

Hi E&N's! I hope I haven't been voted off the island for non-participation. We were at our camp over the Labor Day weekend and I've just been busy running the roads and doing things around the house. I hope you all had a nice 3-day weekend!

Another thing that has kept me preoccupied is that my DH had a biopsy Friday on 2 nodules on his thyroid. We got the news yesterday that they were benign! He had a screening at work several months ago for carotid artery blockage. Well that was fine, but they noticed "something" on his thryoid. He saw the plant doctor (not a doctor of flowers but the doctor at the chemical plant where he works ) who then referred him to an endocrinologist. He ordered the biopsy, did it last Friday, and called yesterday with the good news. I'm a little cancer-paranoid because of my own history and my mother and father's, but I was trying to keep calm and positive. So we are both very thankful and relieved.

I am loving the Wednesday pictures! Shelly, I think you picked the perfect place to stay this trip. The BWI looks awesome! Joan, lucky you for staying at the Poly, and in just 3 more days!! Pakey, your stories are just as much fun as your pics. Flat Sharon is the cutest, but too bad about her tool of a husband. It kind of reminds me of Truvy's husband in Steel Magnolias. Autumn, I don't eat sushi but that picture sure looks beautiful!

I guess I got a little too full of myself after I figured out how to post my pictures. Well now for the 2nd Wednesday I am picture-less. I can't seem to transfer the pictures from my memory card to my computer. I took alot of pictures at our camp this weekend that I was going to share. I put the SD card into the slot on the computer and then go to "Computer". But when I click on the "SD/MMC" icon, it says "You need to format the disk in drive F before you can use it." So if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

Dax, I love that photo of the castle too. That area is my favourite place to watch Wishes from.

Teri, I am SO glad to hear about your husband. You must be so relieved. Unfortunately I have no idea what the memory card issue is. I just use the cord that came with my camera to transfer my photos and I'm not savvy enough for anything more than that.

It's a chilly night here, really starting to feel like fall. I miss summer already! But it was nice to be able to wear a cozy sweater and have a tea while I was out and about today. My neighbours brought their brand new baby home from the hospital today and I got to meet her! Oh my goodness, she is completely perfect and the sweetest little girl ever. I just wanted to kiss her tiny pink ears!
