The Everything and Nothing Thread

Autumn, you're the best! I was able to upload my pictures directly from my camera to my computer. Of course, that's just Step 1. Now let's see if I can post them! I took these pictures Labor Day weekend at our camp.

This picture is taken standing on our deck looking out towards the lake. Our deck is up really high off the ground because our property slopes down to the lake.

This is our deck and chiminea.

We went for a boat ride and I had to get a picture of this pretty tree!

This is looking out towards the beach/pavilion area.

A camp and gazebo (not ours ;)) that I love.

More camps and piers from the boat.

Now let's see if this works. Sorry if this is too many pictures, but I couldn't decide which ones to post. Thanks again, Autumn! Better late than never for Picture Wednesday!

Shelly---- the BWI--------:goodvibes can't wait for you to hurry up and get on your trip so I can read about it when you get home. I will be pea green with envy while you're away.:lmao:

I got home on Monday from being in SC for a week at my SIL's wedding. It was fun and we were exhausted by the time we got back. But isn't that how family weddings are????

it's raining here and I'm dis'ing too much.

have a great day ev/no's!

Thanks again for all of the Wednesday pics.

True Confession Thursday. My favorite television show is Sons of Anarchy. It's about bikers, a motorcycle gang. I'm as far from a motorcycle chick as a person can be so why do I love this show?

True Confession: I was going to take yesterday (kids first day back to school) and relax after a summer of go, go, go. Here I am today...still relaxing. :rolleyes1

Teri, those pictures are gorgeous!! You know, if you're going to go ahead and adopt Jo, you might as well take me too! I'm quiet, neat and I know quite a few campfire songs!:rolleyes1

Jo! So nice to see you!:hug: Glad you had a nice time at the family wedding!

Pakey, I've never heard of that one... but I know how it is, I have plenty of guilty pleasure TV shows.;)

Rodeo, enjoy your relaxation!:goodvibes:cool1:

My confession for the day: I just polished off two packages of Sour Patch Kids.:cloud9:

Yum, no, really really yum. My second confession is that I haven't grocery shopped since we came home from our trip last week and there is no food in my kitchen. My poor kids were looking for a bedtime snack and got...crackers, I think. Gotta shop tomorrow! See, the relaxing thing, its outta control. :rotfl:

TTFN, my dear Ev/Nos! We're leaving for the airport at 4:30 a.m. tomorrow! I will raise a Grey Goose Slushie in your honor!

Sandee, maybe we'll see you there! Have a fantastic time with your family!

Joan, don't you just love having to get up at the butt crack of dawn to fly to WDW? No wonder I always forget things; who can think that early in the morning.

I hope you have a great vacation. :dance3:

hi Ev/No's!

Joan- have a fabulous time on your vacation! pixie dust for fabulous weather!:wizard:

Rodeo--- part of relaxing to me is.... shopping.:worship:
In fact, I was um, "relaxing"... yeah, that's it- I "relaxed" today!;)

Autumn- Sour patch kids - I love them but they give me ulcers if I eat too many of them.:confused3 So I stick to the chocolate instead and DH saves the green ones out of his box for me. Awww, what a guy.

Hi Shelly, Teri, Pakey and everyone else I missed----!

We aren't going out tonight for our Friday night date. I just popped two pans of enchiladas into the oven instead. We're going out tomorrow night with some of our friends-- 5 couples in all---to a place that is called "La Petite Cafe something another", (I don't know the real name of it but it does start with La Petite Cafe blah blah blah) and my Dh said "I'm stopping watching football to go to a La Petite something another? That should be illegal."

Bless his heart. First it's his sister's wedding and now it's frou-frou food. What he'll give up for the sake of family and friendship.

Have a great weekend Ev/No's!!!!!

Hi guys!!! Sorry I haven't been on this week, I was working last couple of days. I have washed & ironed all our laundry the so I'd be ready to pack tomarrow. Got new livimg room furniture today. I've been waiting all summer for it to come in. I love it, it looks so good & is so comfy! :cloud9:

I loved all the pictures. Can't think of a good confession for this week but I'll try to come up with a good one for next time. Maybe I'll do somthing goofy on vacation I can confes to! :rotfl2:

Joan I know you're probably already sleeping but I hope you have a wonderful trip!! :goodvibes If you see a bouncy, short middle aged woman, mustached guy (who looks like your DH) wearing a red sox baseball cap followed around by two 20 somethings trying to keep up : that will be us!!:lmao:

Hope everyone who was under the weather is feeling better and all the kids are settled into the new school routines.

Autunm, are you going to stake out any of the theaters where they are having the Film Festival next weekend? Let us know if you see anyone famous!

Hi to everyone else! :)

WooHoo!!!!! :woohoo: 13 hours til take off! Packed & ready. :cool1: See you all in 1 week. I'll need you all to cheer me up: I'm gonna have that post Disney depression. :sad1: :rotfl2:

 Bye!

Happy Saturday Ev-No's! :goodvibes

focus - :woohoo: Lucky you! Have a wonderful trip!

Jo and Autumn - the two of you would be welcome any time to come to the lake! Don't worry about snoring, Jo. My DBIL would drown you out. ;) And if LSU doesn't look any better tonight, there wouldn't be any LSU stuff there either. Autumn can teach us some good campfire songs!

I hope everyone is having a nice, relaxing weekend! And I hope all of your favorite teams win today! (That was mainly for you, Shelly ;)) Jo, were you OK with the Gators today? Did they look better than last week?

Sandee and Joan: Safe travels!!! Hope you both have magical trips.:wizard:

Rodeo: I have food but no motivation to make anything. I ordered takeout last night (Thai) and have been eating leftovers since then.

Sandee: Oh my gosh, the film festival. It is NUTS and I can't wait until it's over! I was trying to do some shopping the other day in the area where the hotels most of the celebrities stay are and it was crazy. The whole area is packed with people trying to spot and meet celebrities and people with press lanyards are walking around like they invented the wheel and don't even get me started on the red carpets... I am not a TIFF fan.:rotfl: I appreciate what it does for our city and I will see some of the movies once they on DVD but I just can't handle all the hoopla.

Jo: Have you ever had chocolate covered Sour Patch Kids? They sell them at a candy store nearby and they are strange but delicious!

I ended up trying to do more shopping today (I need a fall coat) and ended up making it home with four books and no clothing. I am such an online shopper. I know my size, I know what I like and I enjoy not having to search through racks and listen to the music blasting in the stores and be bumped by people with tons of bags. :thumbsup2 So I am now browsing around happily in bed!

I just realized I sound like quite the old curmudgeon in this post.:rotfl2:

... AND I am sounding quite a bit like my mother.:scared1:

This is never a good thing.

Hi all. I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend (I know those of you who are now at WDW are).

Mine has been uneventful. I took the dogs out for a walk yesterday and then Andy got sick. My little boy dog has so many issues. He loves to walk but he has a heart murmur and I think he just gets too excited on his walks. Anyway, I was in the shower after the walk and he puked all over the bedroom carpet. Lovely. The rest of the house is tile but nooooo, we have to get sick on the only carpet in the house.

My grandson had his first soccer game this morning so my husband went to that but I'd already made plans with youngest son so I couldn't make it. Middle son always waits till last minute to tell us anything. I hope to get more notice next weekend. Why are 5 year olds playing soccer on a Sunday morning anyway?

Hi everyone! HOpe everyone is doing ok. Sorry I haven't been here in awhile. It's been crazy busy the last week or so. I am gonna catch up and read some posts. Hugs to you all!:grouphug:

Good Morning all!

Hope everyone is doing good and had a good weekend! My husband and I went to a 9-11 memorial service Satuday morning. Very moving. One of the speakers was actually in the Pentagon that day. Then we went grocery shopping and went out to eat with family. Great day! Sunday was pretty lazy. We to a friends house for football. I did make some awesome chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes with Milky Way frosting. YUM!

Autumn - that was me by Saturday. I'd shopped but all of the neighbours were outside with the kids all playing. One by one the various moms went in to start dinner, check on dinner or take it out. DH turns to me around 5:45 and said "I notice YOU have not gone home to make any dinner." HE went and got pizza. I guess, maybe having the food is not the main issue. :rolleyes1

I like shopping online too - way easier and I find over the years that I sound more and more like my mom all the time. Sad thing is, so does DH. :rotfl2:

Those supcakes sound awesome, disneydiva. I'm trying to narrow down what I want to make for DDs birthday party in a couple of weeks. Do you have a recipe or link?
