Morning all...Thursday is here....I wish I had a long weekend...but no...not me...

Morning! And Happy Birthday Autunm!

Well, I started some dental work 2 weeks ago & have been having problems, of course. Can't chew on that side or I have lots of pain & some pain even when I'm not eating. Anitbiotics not helping. UGGGH! Waiting to hear back from the dentist now. Hoping he'll see me today. I have an appointment for Tues, but that is only 5 days before our vacation. I want this fixed before then! Getting scared about making things worse with flying.

I'm just annoyed at myself for starting this before vacation. It wasn't an urgent issue. I wasn't having pain before. I love my dentist; he's very good & I've never had any issues before. He had assured me we had plenty of time to get this done. But in my gut I was very worried about doing it now. Lesson learned : Trust My Instinct!

Guess that's my True Confession: I didn't trust my instinct & things ended up as bad as I feared.

Anyway, hope you're all having a great day. Sorry for the whine!

Thanks for the wishes (& Cake!) everyone. We had a quiet dinner at home, we'll go out for a nice dinner this weekend. 32 years!! We got each other cards with Cinderella & Prince Charming on them. Not on purpose, either.

I got into the dentist. The bite was off on the cap he put on my tooth. He was able to file it down in just a few minutes. So much better now!! Who would have thought something that simple could cause so much pain. I am so relieved.

Diva, Congrats on the historic post!! And is there anyone who doesn't eat frosting from the can? Wait, were you one of the people that said you mix up cake batter then just eat it? Now, if you do both those things, that is quite a confession!!!

Pakey, I put ketchup in home made chicken noodle soup. Not in like Lipton's or Campbell's tho. It's so good! Btw, I loved the picture & story behind it. You must have so many interesting stories. Looking forward to hearing many more of them.

Woo-hoo. There are at least two of us who do this. I once got mentioned on that other board for a post here about my ketchup in soup. If two of us do it, it can't be weird right?

Hi E&N's! I feel like I've been away for so long and mised so much! Actually, I've just been kind of busy the past couple of days, in and out. Last night I thought my computer had finally died. It was freezing up on me, so I tried restarting and even shutting it down. Then I couldn't even get it to come back on. This morning, still nothing, until a while later I looked in the computer room and it was back on! Crazy computer.

So.....where to begin?

Pakey - I can't believe you were a Southern Belle for 7 years! It was sad driving down the beach highway in Biloxi and seeing where so many beautiful homes used to be, and nothing left but a slab. The area has made a big comeback since Katrina, but there are still so many empty places along the highway. I love your picture and the story about the prayer wheel in the monastery. That must have been such an awesome experience! I'm not quite sure what to make of your Thursday True Confession. Ketchup in soup is news to me, and we eat most anything in Louisiana!

Diva - Happy Belated Birthday! I hope you had a wonderful day! I love the picture of you and your hubby on the ship. It sounds like a fun cruise! I've never been on a cruise (My DH gets seasick, so he's not interested) but I'm hoping to go on an Alaskan cruise next year. I think an Alaskan cruise is the only way I'll ever get him to go. He is such an outdoorsman that I think he would love the scenery of Alaska. I'll have to check out CruiseCritic. High fives on eating icing out of the can! My favorite is the cream cheese icing, even though I don't eat cream cheese plain.

lara - I hope the rest of your week got better as it went along. And it's only 1 hour until Friday! I'm happy to see so many DWTS fans out there! We should have alot to talk about in the coming weeks. It's hard to tell about the cast, but it doesn't seem like there is a shoe-in like Nicole or Kristi Yamaguchi (sp?) this year. Jennifer Grey looks great for 50! (I hope you can't detect jealousy through my typing) She should be great with Derek as her pro.

Dax - Hi there! I see you've been checking in, so at least you're not as far behind as me! I hope you have a nice weekend!

Autumn - Happy Birthday!! I almost had to say Happy Belated Birthday, but I got in under the wire. I hope you had a great day and a nice dinner tonight! I'm so sorry to hear that you were so sick last week that you ended up in the hospital. But I'm glad you are feeling much better now.

Dizno - That picture at the beach is beautiful! And for the record, it is a good thing to be wearing sweaters and jackets in late summer! I can't wait for that weather! Which cruise line are you going on? I don't know where to begin to plan our (hopeful) cruise - which cruise line, which ship, which itinerary.....etc. About your True Confessions: I do the same thing. I hate to fold sheets, especially king-size, even though my mom taught me a good way to fold fitted sheets.

focus - Happy Anniversary! After 32 years, you can pretty much read each other's mind! That is so cute about the cards! BTW, I was one of the people who mixes up cake batter to eat! I tried to post a Wednesday picture, but I ran into some technical difficulties. I got some weird message when I tried to put pictures from the memory card onto my computer (something about having to format the disk in Drive F Whatever that means) Then last night my computer went into a coma, so I gave up. So I guess I'll keep trying and maybe post a Sunday or Monday picture.

I had a lovely (but busy!) birthday and am really looking forward to the long weekend now. I'm stuffed full of good food and got to spend time with lots of friends and family and now I have three full days off! Does it get any better?

Pakey: I put ketchup on a LOT of things but I can say I have never tried it with soup. I do like to cover my french fries with ketchup and honey which a lot of people find strange... but it is so delicious! It's the only way I eat them.

Hello E&N's! Remember me?

Sorry I haven't been keeping up so well around here. I think I've even missed 2 Wednesday picture days!

Hope all is well with everyone. The kids go back to school Tuesday, so we are just enjoying the long weekend doing some fun things with them. The temps were in the mid 90's most of the week and now it's only 63 today. Feels like it's freezing! But Sunday and Monday are supposed to be nice and sunny and in the 70's.

Hope you all had a great holiday weekend. We went to dinner at one of the area's best restaurants. Great atmosphere, relaxing & really good food. But before that we went to a local classic/ antique atuto show. Of course, I could have found better things to do; but DH really enjoys it. I try to take a little interest in his hobbies every once in awhile. He looked at the cars; I "people watched". Some interesting sites for both of us.

I started putting togther the things I want to pack for vacation. The good thing about it cooling off the weekend is I won't need all the shorts & tank tops at home. I can get everything washed & ironed now & just need to pack it all up on Sat.

To all those with kids going back to school this week

Thanks for keeping us on track, Sandee! Sounds like you had a lovely weekend and oh my goodness, I can't believe how soon your trip is. I'm sure you've already told us and I'm just forgetting, but where are you staying?

I had a lovely weekend. Saw some friends, had a shopping day, said goodbye to more hospital discharges (bittersweet!) and am ready for one more week off before my classes start. I have some more financial aid applications to complete and submit and a few more shifts at the hospital but lots of time to relax!

Right now I'm waiting for So You Think You Can Dance Canada to start and snacking on leftover sushi.

Hi Meg! We're doing a split stay: 3 nights at Port Orleans Riverside & 3 nights at Yacht Club. Yacht club is our very favorite resort, but since DD & DSIL are coming, we are scaling back to keep their expenses down.

Glad you were able to rest & relax after how sick you were. I have been meaning to ask what your major is & how much longer til you are done with school. Sometimes it seems like you'll never get done, doesn't it? Hang in there tho, I'm sure it will be worth it.
