The Everything and Nothing Thread

I was Team Edward in the books but I can't wrap my head around it in the movies so now I'm Team Jacob.

My daughter in law works in the film industry and I have movie posters from the 3 movies. I'd really love to frame them and hang them in my office but I am afraid of the reaction. :rotfl:

High five!!!:cool1::cheer2:

Cheese Doodles! Yes!!!! They are full of ...... NOTHING.

Pakey- you should totally do it!
It would be fun even for shock value.

Everyone tells my DD that she looks like Kristen Stewart with blonde hair. I can see it a little bit in Some of the pictures of her but not all of them.

Disneylove- Ahhh that sounds just perfect! It must be lovely living so close to the beach. I'm from Toronto but yes, Montreal is a great city. My favourite place in Quebec is Quebec City, it is a walled city and you feel like you've stepped into France when you're there.:lovestruc Vancouver is also lovely, as is the east coast, out in PEI in the summers.

I'm not too far from Buffalo, we go there often to shop because we don't have Target up here! Oh, and we eat at IHOP too!

Joan, I've never been to Oregon. Those summers sound perfect though! Papa Beach is such a cute name.:goodvibes

Jane, you do such a great job of replying to everyone! I really am impressed! Wow, congrats to your daughter on finishing med school, what an awesome accomplishment! I actually would like to elope. Just looking at all the wedding planning sites and magazines sends me over the edge. It looks like so much work and worry and $$!

Janet- Glad your daughter is looking forward to 7th grade! I didn't go to middle school (my elementary school went right up to 8th grade) but I was terrified of starting high school. My mom pretty much had to shove me in the door the first day.

Pakey, I'm like you, I don't know anyone either! I'm sure glad you're here though! :grouphug: I'm also curious to know where you're thinking of retiring!

Hi Disneydiva!!:cheer2::flower3:

Thanks, autumn, but I'm only trying to keep up with everyone else! It seems like every time I tune in, I see that I've missed so much, so I'm just trying to keep my head above water!

Happily, I see the topic has turned to Twilight, which I know absolutely nothing about. ;) So I'm going to sit back and enjoy the conversation since I have nothing to add to it!

As I mentioned before, my brother-in-law also works in the film industry, so here's a picture he took of his daughter (my niece) on the set of the first movie:

Well dang, now I want to go watch the movies. :)

Jane- here's something you know about---- Go Gators. Chomp Chomp.:lmao:

Now, don't get me riled up! :rotfl2:

TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT!

I'm afraid I'll only be able to trash talk before our season actually starts! :worried:

I think Miles is on the hot seat. What's the latest on Urban Cryer? ;)

(I'll try to go make it bigger)

I'm going to tell my daughter-in-law she has been one-upped, lol. She has autographed posters (the ones I got were not) but she has no photos. She's a crazed fan and is going to be so jealous. She has a picture with Spielberg but I don't think anyone is going to drool over that.

Maybe not ;), but it sounds like she has an interesting job!

There is no way I'm ever going to keep up on this thread! Really??? 3 pages since this afternoon???
I think we're going to need a volunteer to provide the cliff notes version at the end of each day. Any takers?

Sad to report I'm not too much of a Twilight fan. I've seen the first movie so far. :confused3 If I had to choose based on looks alone it would be team Jacob. That is so wrong for a 31 yr old to be saying. Now Harry Potter on the other hand- he and I go way back. :thumbsup2 He's not very handsome but I loved the books.

I took my son back to school shopping tonight and he picked out his Toy Story 3 backpack that he's been drooling over for weeks now. Too bad he hates school. At least he'll be excited for the first week. If this year goes like last year we may be seriously considering homeschooling. :headache:

:rotfl:well he isn't crying.

yet.

:rotfl:

One of our favorite sayings was from Les- when he was talking about a game against Arkansas I believe---- and he said "Well that was a 'Toughie'." We say that all of the time in our best Les voice!

We are excited about Brantley our QB. woo woo woo woo woo woo !!

We'll be friends on here until October 9th. On that day all bets are off. We shall renew our friendship on the 10th.:rolleyes1

Can you make it to The Swamp this year ?? DH is going I think- I get to stay home with the chill'uns.

I can't keep up unless I do nothing but refresh refresh.:rotfl2:
Yay for the TS3 backpack for him! At least the'll be happy for a bit of time anyway. Bless his heart, poor baby.

There is probably a book out there with the best Les-ism's. One of his most overused terms is "we have a want to...." We have a want to correct our mistakes. We have a want to play good defense. Poor Les is definitely not the most eloquent coach out there.

I wish we were as excited about our QB's. We have Jefferson - meh - and "Pick 6" Jarrett Lee. I think one of our hopes for the future transferred recently. So it's not looking too rosy in T-Town.

I'm sure I won't be going to the Swamp this year, even though I'd like to some day! I've never been to the Swamp or to any SEC road game except for Ole Miss years ago. From what I've heard, the Swamp isn't the place to go to feel welcomed. ;) Probably pretty much the same treament Gator fans get down here. :sad1: Of course, it's the bad ones that make the most noise. I'm sure there are good and bad fans from all schools. Last year I did go to the Florida game in Tiger Stadium. I wish I could have bottled up some of that electricity in the air! Awesome night, not so awesome outcome. ;)

Later, Gator!

Joan - I am so jealous right now.... i know i know i'm a 31 year old drooling over a 20 something and i think an 18 year old is TOTALLY gorgeous....

I love the twilight series... i actually liked the books way better then the movies...who is with me....

And it is true... this pages fill up fast!!!!! sheesh.... reminds me of times of a thread i used to go to .... the MAYers thread... we would go through 10 pages in one day.... u get used to it....

Uh oh, I don't know much about football at all! Other than the fact that I was a cheerleader in high school and we had to go to the games. Oh gosh, our squad was just awful though. I think the most elaborate thing we did was clap.:rotfl2: It was all very prestigious.:rotfl:

Diznotyzed, that is so neat! Your DN is so lucky!:goodvibes

The only "famous" person I've ever met is Alex Trebek... yep, the host of Jeopardy.:rotfl: He was very nice though! Tons and tons of stars come to Toronto for the Toronto International Film Festival every September and I've seen people who have crowds around them taking pictures and such but I never recognize who they are! I have a friend who met Liam Neeson at a hotel bar, though, said he was incredibly friendly and sweet and didn't even act like he was famous- introduced himself by his first name as if she had no idea who he was.

Morning all...I think I made it through this migraine with ease...I went home early from work yesterday, got home and slept for 4 hrs!:scared1: When I finally woke up at 6:30p, I felt OK, but still not 100%..I ended up not eating dinner, and went back to bed at 11p and got up this morning at 4a...

I feel...BETTER..I honestly think I may have been overtired. I feel well rested, and the slight head pain I have now if probably due to the fact I hadnt had any solid food since 12p yesterday...LOL..So I had a YUMMY breakfast bagel this morning as I am typing this, and I am feeling OH SO much better.

Thanks all for your wonderfull support..being without medical insuarance is scaring me..

So I am off to catch up..I did see that yummy pic of Edward...I must say he is a cutie...but I think I may be on Team Jacob...

Good morning! :goodvibes

And - it looks like we have a winner in my shopping contest!! I got the kids 20 shirts, 4 pair of jeans, and 2 pair of swim trunks for a whopping grand total of -- $110!!! :cool1: It looks like the closest guess without going over was Focusondisney with a guess of $95!! So here you go -- :flower3:

WOO HOO!! Thanks for the prize!!

Hi all!!!!!

well I guess I will start with introducing myself..... I am a Dis veteran.. have been many times starting since the 80's.... Once my DD was born in 05 i decided that I Had to take her there. Her first trip was in 07 we have been back every year since..... I actually just got back from a trip in June. I am currently back in school to become a registered nurse. i LOVE anything Disney. This trip we went on was just a mommy and daughter trip. A present from my DH.

Good luck with school. I've been an RN forever. Glad to see lots of young people coming to nursing. Worked full time for most of it. Now that the kids are grown & gone, DH has a great job, so I'm doing part time & liking it. That's a great thing about nursing, you can find a job & hours to fit your needs usually. I have done my share of off shifts & holidays & give it my all when I'm there. But now I'm ready to ease off & have less stress in my life. :)

it’s just hard to be back to full-time (after working PT for years).

BUT, change is good, right??? So I need to get something else to focus on - maybe planing more Disney trips :goodvibes

See, I'm doing the full time to part time thing! But I'm so enjoying it! I'm 53, kids are grown & gone. DD married, Ds off on his own for years now. That's how I became : focusondisney !!:rotfl:

At least "focusondisney" while I wait for grandkids! Then maybe I'll become "focusongrands". ;)

Ok I also can't believe how chatty you all were yesterday. Go to work for 1 day & I miss pages of chatting. I'll keep up better today.

Pakey, I'm happy to hear you cough is gone. Good vibes for your continued recovery. :flower3:

Dax, glad your migraine is easing. Hope you can get some health care soon so you can get help with them. I can't imagine having to function with a migraine. :sad1:

Autunm: Hi northern neighbor! I'm in Buffalo.:wave2:

Everybody else: Hi! I'm enjoying reading all the posts & getting to know you. And I know nothing about Twilight. :scared1:

I would so do it! I work with some strange people and I am gonna get a poster for my office. RIght now I have a huge Aerosmith flag on the wall.

Jo - The Gators? Really? Say it ain't so.. I am a Nole BUT my kids and parents are Gator fans so I can take the teasing pretty well.

We have made it half way through the week. I may need one of those 5 hour energy drinks today. I can't get going.

Good morning everyone!!

Love the pic Diznotized!
