I made a yummy one a couple weeks ago (in fact there is a piece in the freezeer......hmmm breakfast? )
It was apple but had cinnamon chips in it...wow!! (Carol won't like it...she doesn't like cinnamon). The "sauce" got thick and gooey, like a cinnabon!

So anyone have any plans for tonight? (Besides Survivor?)
Do we need a guard on the cottage to protect it from attack?

Thanks for the PD - I think it might have worked... hard to tell. The dentist hammered it and put that cold stuff on it and x-rayed it and couldn't find anything wrong with it. Oh yeah - unless it's the nerve but we really don't want that now do we... I can't have local anaesthetics - so what do I do then?!!! I'm trying not to think about it. Or the headache all the hammering gave me - that and him trying to prise the crown off. Unsucessfully...

We don't really have halloween here. It's catching on but without the trick or treating. One day I'm going to spend halloween in the States and see how it should be done. Is it anything like on Roseanne?

Honestly, I can't live without my microwave. Mine broke down when we lived in Pittsburgh and it was built in. We had a homeowners warrenty and it took the company 4 months to fix it. They kept ordering wrong part or the part they ordered didn't fix the problem. After 2 months of roughing it I went to Walmart and bought one of those really small ones. Once I got the big one fixed we put the little one in the basement. Hope you get a new one really soon.

Luis, you were smacked along side of the head because all Ya Ya DH's need it once in a while. (Hello, did you or did you not leave Ya Ya wife and not tell her where you were going) Honestly, Luis you should have known. Oh for that crack about her height, well that was totally uncalled for and ........and.........a lot of us Ya Ya's resemble that.

Poohshoney, can I ask you if you are a native of Germany? If you are you are excellent at English!!!! Halloween at Roseanne's....well no she had a lot of people helping her pull off her pranks. But, as far a dressing up and acting a little wild. Yes that is how it is. But when we lived in Texas, the neighborhood that we lived in did not celebrate Halloween. I guess it was a Bible Belt thing. Even some of the elementary schools within our own district do not have Halloween parties.

Well, must run and decorate basement for petite Ya Ya party.

Oh, forgot to tell you....

Hubby usually gets up before the alarm goes off, and he goes down and gets the coffee started. The only light we turn on in the kitchen in the morning is the one above the stove (neither one of us likes bright lights first thing in the morning).

I walk into the kitchen and there he is sitting at the kitchen table with his "light-up devil horns" and starts singing You Light Up My Life.....

I couldn't believe how hard I was laughing at 4:50 in the morning!

Now - I did post a for-real message yesterday - but I just realized that I got kicked off the boards and it didn't go through.......

Turkey turned out great - 21+ pounds, browned divinely, smelled heavenly and tasted even better. They licked the platter clean. Sorry tankdork, no leftover turkey sandwiches for us today.

DS received 13 merit badges and the World Conservation Badge. I posted on another thread 2 days ago that he is going to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico for 2 weeks next summer. He is very excited.

The cold weather and high winds have knocked off a lot of our beautiful fall foliage. This always makes me sad, as I know that winter is just around the bend. In fact, yesterday about 70 miles from us they had a freak snow/ice storm.
