Well I am off work is going to be a "bad one" today.

Pie with cheese!!!! When I lived in Cleveland, I noticed that restaurants there served apple pie with cheddar cheese melted on top. At least I think it was cheddar. I finally tried it and it was good. Of course anything that is served in a restaurant and I don't have to make it and clean it up tastes good.

I vote that we get a Ya Ya maid to clean up this cottage. Afterall, this is our fantasy cottage isn't it? Now who could we get to clean up after us. It should probably be someone from The Bachelor or Survivor. Well, OK it could be some eye candy!!!!

Oh, and whoever it was that put that silly string into my closet, just you wait. Next time that you think you are eating spaghetti, be worried, be very worried!!!!!

Carol, I hope your visit to the dentist goes well today. Nothing worse than an annoying tooth.

So glad that kitty came home Jennifer. He showed up here around midnight looking for Emily. You know how much Emily and Allison are alike. Once he realized that it was the wrong crazy fun loving girl, she high tailed it out of here and headed north to Michigan.

Sherry, go back to bed and enjoy the morning. Isn't is fun to be able to that?

Michele, good luck with your boss today. Somehow, I can picture you crying while you are quitting this job. It is a really hard spot to be in when you leave a job that you like to go to another one. Good thoughts for you and hubby today.

Well, I took the day off today so I could get some errands done. Got to get them all out of the way before I go full time. I am starting to get a little nervous about this. I haven't worked full time since I had DS almost 18 years ago. Subbing has always allowed me the flexibility to say no. What have I gotten myself in to? The more I think about the more I am worried that some parent is going to come stomping in and asking me just exactly what I think I am doing. Do you think a parent would mind if the answer is "I don't have a clue in the world!"

Elaine, I hope your day goes great today. You deserve a little sunshine.

Lynne, glad to hear that the midterm is over. Do you have anymore this week? Are you on semesters or quarters? Hang in there. We are all sending you good wishes.

The 12 Rules of life

Sometimes we just need to remember what the
12 Rules of Life
really are:

1. Never give yourself a haircut after three Margaritas. (or let Jay use his light saber)

2. You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't
move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape. (that would be lime green duct tape)

3. The five most essential words for a healthy, vital relationship are "I apologize" and "you are right." (don't forget these 4 words either, I will spaghetti you)

4. Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. (the exception are the Ya Ya's)

5. Never pass up an opportunity to pee. (I think we all know that one)

6. If he/she says that you are too good for him/her - believe them.

7. Learn to pick your battles; ask yourself, "Will this matter one year from now? How about one month? One week? One day?"

8. When you make a mistake, make amends immediately. It's easier to eat crow while it's still warm. (I have found that if you put just a little equal on it, that it also is much more tastey)

9. If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You have another
chance! (Oh Marilyn this one is for us Elder Ya Yas)

10. Living well really is the best revenge. Being miserable because of a bad or former relationship just might mean that the other person was right about you. (We will keep this one over the fireplace)

11. Work is good, but it's not that important. Money is nice,
but you can't take it with you. Statistics show most people don't live tospend all they saved; some die even before they retire. Anything we have isn'treally ours; it was given to us by God; He just let us borrow it while we're here....even our kids.

12. And finally... Be really good to your family and/or friends. You never know when you are going to need them to empty your bedpan. (Oh Ya Yas, Did I tell you how much I appreciate you.)

This coming from the girl who is helping me look for some thing and then all of a sudden--- *poof* she's gone (mind you she's the same height as the clothes racks so if I don't watch her she is gone.)

The time I "leave" her is when I am circling the store looking around for her. Maybe when she says she is going somewhere , she should actually be there.
