I love the cookie cake!
Your niece is adorable.
I have two nephews and we do buckets as well. I can't wait for my niece to get here this summer so I can buy a basket next Easter.

So clever to put money in the eggs instead of candy. I may have to do that next year.
I would leave the BOMA ADR for 7:45 and spend the extra time strolling around AKL.
The rooms on the Dream look amazing!
I hope you won't need your motion sickness meds.
The cookie cake was pretty good, if I do say so myself! I wish he had wanted a regular cake though, I can leave those alone, that cookie is hard to pass up
Nieces are fun, I'm sure you are going to enjoy yours!
I got the idea of putting money in the eggs from my SIL. Her mother did it when my SIL and her sister got older in order to keep them hunting, I thought it was a fabulous idea.
I'm leaning towards just leaving the ADR where it is, unless my family convinces me that they need more sleep....
Happy Belated Birthday to Justin.
My DD was on duty with EMS and my DS was home but sadly I did not do any candy this year. Too much tempation for me and I always seems to get too much.

So sad they are growing up. We just had a quiet dinner.
When the first one started driving I was a nervous wreck. When the second one started I was and am much better.
We always joke that DD is able to drive the ambulance now so at least peple will get out of her way with lights and siens on.
The dream is soooo dreamy.

Someday ... maybe....
It is bittersweet when your kids get to an age where the holidays don't hold as much appeal. I'm going to keep doing the buckets and eggs as long as mine will let me get away with it!
That's what Justin needs - a car with lights and a siren so everyone will get the heck out of his way
My DH can't ride anything that spins & he gets motion sickness once in awhile. So he tried the patch & swears by it. I was afraid that I might get sick so I tried the patch, but it made me sick. So, off it went & I was better.
Michelle, I with you, love the beach, but don't want to get in the water. I don't want to meet whatever is lurking in that water!
Doris
You know, I had a friend tell me the other day that the patch made her sick too. She said she was getting double vision with it. She took it off and just took over the counter meds and was fine.
Ha! I'm afraid of what is in the water too! I've gone on two beach trips with my girlfriends and they always make fun of me because I won't go in any deeper than my shins!
Great life and trip update! I think you should leave your Boma ADR as it is. The earlier the better I say. If in the extremely rare case they fall behind or it takes you a long time to get out of there, you won't be rushing as much having gone at the earlier time.
About the seasickness, don't think about it! I'm telling you right now you
will feel the ship move. I don't have bad motion sickness but sometimes I stress over it so much I make myself sick! When I went on my first cruise, I armed myself with Gravol (Bronine equivalent I think) and ended up taking quite a bit only because I was so paranoid about feeling sick. Just don't think about it and you should be fine
You're right, I know if I stress over the motion of the boat I will make things so much worse. I need to just take my Bonine each morning and go into it with the attitude that I will be fine, just like I do at the parks when I want to ride EE back to back
Happy Birthday to Justin
Looks like you've had some pretty fun family gatherings and a busy week.
Your new plans look/sound great.
Thanks! We stay pretty busy between these two boys! Things should slow down just a bit after this week, at least for a little while. Justin's last baseball game is on Friday and he'll be done until summer ball starts the end of May - that will be a short but nice little break!
Sounds like you had a great birthday/Easter weekend. Don't you hate it though when you realize that your kids have outgrown something.

I will be sad when my DD isn't into hunting eggs or whatever it is. She is already not really into cartoons anymore and she is only 7!
Yeah, it stinks! They grow up way too fast
The verandah rooms look awesome! I really want one of those, but I decided to pass this time since our cruise is so short. I don't think we will be in our room at all except to sleep since we have so much packing into just a few days. It would be great to watch the sunrise though. I'm sure you will have some wonderful pictures of that. I will definitely get a verandah if we go on a 5 or 7 day cruise though.
I have a friend that has cruised both with and without the verandah, she told me they were definitely worth the extra money. Her favorite part of the day was sitting out there in the morning enjoying her coffee while everyone else was still asleep. Honestly, the biggest reason I wanted one was so I could sit out there and get some fresh air if the rocking of the boat bothered me at all.
And I am with you on the sea sickness. I'm worried about that myself. That is the number 1 reason that we decided on the short cruise. We figured if we got sick, at least we wouldn't be stuck on the boat for a week. I really hope we (and you) do well though b/c I already know that I want to go back!

I will have some drugs of my own too, and some ginger ale, and whatever else I can think of. DH and I both are very prone to motion sickness too. We went down one of the big slides at the Great Wolf Lodge this past fall with our DD, and the family raft we were in spun around where we ended up going down backwards, enclosed, in total darkness. Just that short 15 second ride made us so disoriented and had both of us sick for the rest of the afternoon. So yeah, I'm really nervous about that ship rocking to and fro!

I've read mixed opinions on that topic too. Some people say you can't even tell that you are on a ship and others say they could feel it big time. I guess it depends on how calm the sea is during your trip. I hope you will get some pixie dust on your cruise and the water will be as smooth as glass!
I've read widely different opinions too, we'll keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best!!
I know what you mean about the tan! With this ridiculous Pennsylvania weather, I'm starting to think that I won't have a tan before our September trip!

Every single day that it hits 60 degrees or higher, it rains or storms the entire day!

I told my husband that if May starts out the same as April has been, I'm going to the tanning salon again! I haven't been in 4 years, but I'm definitely heading back if it continues to rain, rain, rain! I keep reading how you need rain -- honestly wish I could ship some your way! Our yard is a giant mud puddle & a few of our neighbors' yards look like small ponds!
I really hate to go to a tanning salon, especially since I'll be leaving for week mid May, I'll just start to get some color and be gone for a week. I'm afraid it would be waste of time and money. I might have to break down and try a self tanner, I'm just afraid of turning orange!
It's crazy how parts of the county are just getting pounded with rain and here we sit, begging for it! I'd take some of your rain if we could!
I think its really great how involved you are with your son's schools & sports!!!!

I will tell you one thing for sure -- that is something your boys will ALWAYS remember & cherish! Even if they don't admit it now, trust me, I know its true! My mom was always involved with my school -- she was room mother every year from kindergarden up to 6th grade -- and after that, she went on every field trip (for drillteam, choir, NHS, 8th grade trip, etc). She would always volunteer and do whatever she could for each activity I was involved with. Most kids probably would've been embarassed, but I loved it!!! It is honestly one of my most cherished school-year memories!!! When you write updates about helping with your boys' sports, I think of my mom & all of those memories!
I think both boys like that I'm involved at school. I know Justin loves having me in the concession stand - better access to food for him
Justin's birthday cookie really turned out great!
Thanks!
Your niece is sooo cute! I can't believe how much she's grown since the last picture I saw of her on your PTR!!! I completely know what you mean about having a girl in the family! My niece is the first girl too and I love buying her cute little dresses & dolls!
I have to stay out of the little sections of stores, otherwise I would go broke!
It sounds like you had a busy Easter weekend too! My husband had to work 11 hours Friday and Saturday, so Easter Sunday was his only day off. We spent most of the morning relaxing & finishing up last minute Easter details. I also forgot to hide the eggs Saturday night because I was so tired so I had to sneek out & do it first thing Sunday morning. Luckily Luke didn't notice!!!
I love that you put money in the Easter eggs instead of candy!! My parents always did that & my brother and I loved it! Now, my nephew & Luke love it just as much as we did!
You'll have to post some Easter pictures on your PTR, I'd love to see Luke hunting his eggs!
I can't wait to see pictures & hear your review of Boma!!! When we stayed at AKL in 2009, we didn't have ADR's for Boma or Jiko but we tried to get in both at the last minute. Unfortunately we were there during Spring break & the wait time was over 45 minutes. We would've waited but Luke was 10 months old at the time & there was just no way. I will say that the food smelled and looked DELICIOUS!!!!
We ate dinner at Boma years ago and it was really good, I'm sure breakfast will be too. I've heard nothing but good things about it!
