It's freezing here in SouthEastern CT. Down into the 50's last I checked. Time to break out the sweatshirts again.

Not sure what I'm gonna do today,yet. Hubby is home so probably gonna hang around,do some laundry,drink coffee,and relax.
Oh, that's right ,I have two kids. Oh well, I'll throw in some screaming,time-outs,and play time too.

Hi everyone.

Yardbird - Thanks for asking about my friend. No they didn't keep her at the hospital. I talked to her today and she's still in pain (I guess the kidney stone hasn't passed yet). They told her it might be a few days. She's really having a hard time, because she's one of those types that just doesn't know how to relax and do nothing!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Once again, it's thundering & lightening here. At least it held out until the evening. We even cooked out today.

DH gets kidney stones from time to time, but has never been put in the hospital for them! I hope she's okay! Sending her good thoughts!

Are kidney stones hereditary? Several people in my family has had them including my great grandfather, grandfather, aunt, uncle and mother. It scares me that I will get them eventually. Does anyone know what the chances are? I hear they are awful. I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I hope she starts feeling better soon!

Not sure about that! I know my father had problems with them, but never heard about anyone else in the family having problems. Not sure if DH's family has had this problem, or if he's the only one!

I work in an imaging department, and I know patients by name who have had kidney stones more than 10 or 15 times!! I know they are very painful, I've seen grown men crying and screaming from the pain.
I hope I never get them! Once you get them, you are very susceptible to haveing them again.

My father has had them a couple of times,too,which makes me nervous.
We had a TORNADO warning last night in CT. It didn't last more than a couple of minutes,but my SIL called me and woke me out of a deep sleep to warn me!!
I was afraind I was gonna have to wake and panic the kids, but luckily, they cancelled it quickly. It was about 35 miles away and heading in our direction.
We never have tornados here, so I was a bit scared, but all is well.

Oh, one last thing-my DH won $500 in a scratch off lottery ticket yesterday!
I'm probably gonna book an Illuminations cruise with the money for September.
Is anyone here going the week of 9/19-9/26?
There will be 7 of us already, but we may have room for a couple more!!

Speaking of work,though, I'm there now, so I have to go!

It's going to be another scortcher here today in the Nations Capital. Suposed to reach into the mid 90's. Where in the heck did Spring go? We went from one extreme to the next. Summer has truly arrived.

OOOOH, I had a kidney stone about two months after I had my last baby. I would take a week of labor over an hour of a kidney stone. Prayers to your friend hockeymom.

Good Morning!! Another hot and humid day here in Maryland.. it's too early in the year for it to be this hot. Hopefully the pool won't be so cold once it opens. The temps are perfect for warming the water! LOL Lots to do on my agenda today. I have to haul some stuff to the dump this morning, start working on Hannah's teacher gift, the never ending pile of laundry, and try to get to the DISNEY STORE to check out the deals! Just wondering how I can get it all done in not so much time!

Hockeymom, I feel so bad for your friend. I've been told that passing kidney stones is one of the most painful things ever. Best wishes for a safe recovery.

Cloudy and humid here in Texas. I'm just counting down the days till I'm in Florida. Need a break. My husband is so out of it, he asked me how we were going to watch Lord of the Rings in Florida. I cracked up. I was like we are not leaving tomorrow, he was like oh yeah. I guess he needs it as much as I do.

Good Morning All! I'm tired of the heat already! I told DH yesterday that I need to spend a lot of time outside so that I can get accustomed to the heat for our Disney trip. I lived 32 years in Florida, but am still such a whimp when it comes to heat!

Alecam - how awesome to win $500.00! Free money!!

Holly - I went to the Disney store last week, actually I went to two Disney stores. The one in Columbia, and the one in Glen Burnie. I bought my 17 month old grandson really cute outfits for 9.99 each! Some of the things in Glen Burnie are less expensive that in Columbia (imagine that) Swim suits, and accessories that are 9.99 in Glen Burnie are 12.99 in Columbia. I would think that all stores would be priced the same!

Laundry, and then off to WalMart to look for some swimsocks for the five year old grandson to take on our trip to Disney.

Hey everyone. We have not had any internet all weekend becuase DH cut the wire from the road to the house. We are replacing our grass

It has been a very, very, very, very long weekend without my internet.

Good news is that we have it back.
