Shrimp scampi needs pasta, shrimp, olive oil, butter, lemon juices, and spices. Let's get started.
An electric skillet is not my first choice for cooking most things but the thing going for it is while it is excellent at nothing, it's average is most things. So it makes the trip.
The Internet said get some water hot in the microave (a big bowl/bunch of hot water) and put the pasta in and keep adding minutes (it won't boil but it will get hot) until it is
al dente.
It took more minutes than I thought (but as much as the Internet said it would). But when it was ready I pulled the bowl out, fished out the pasta, and then was ready for the skillet to cook the shrimp for us.
Butter, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, parmesan cheese, and other seasoning. Add in shrimp (with tail, remember).
Eventually, it's done (this is an electric skillet at the highest temp setting but it still takes a LONG time).
Finally it's ready. Shrimp scampi - Before.
Shrimp scampi - After.
Now I have to admit that in the kitchen, I'm a focused cook. Even a little demanding when I have my apron on. So it is hard to get me shaken off my game. To look around. To lose focus while the task is at hand.
But the sunset tonight over site #4 in the west was positively AWESOME.
I've camped on #4 many times for DISMeets. I know
@Bishoparc has once as well. The sunsets in that direction can be WONDERFUL. But I digress.
After some cleanup and washing up, time to pull out the ol' Chromebook and update the DIS. Still, the night has treasures for the eye.
My campsite after taking the shrimp bag/trash to the dumpster.
And across the lake, the night eyesores of the condos over the western edge of Orange Beach.
More plans tomorrow. Didn't take a walk today so likely will tomorrow.

PS - breezy on the edge of the lake tonight but the canopy is weighted down, strapped down, and about 75F as I type tonight. DW is as lovely as ever, letting me cook and clean up.
