Hey ya'll...I'm BA-A-A-C-K!!
The weekend was nice enough I guess - VERY pricey...food not in my budget for this trip so we ate a box of those 'Little Debbie' Honey Buns in the room for breakfast yesterday then went "out" to lunch down the road at an Arby's ($6 for a bowl of oatmeal...$12 for a BLT...$14 for 2 egss....that is just SILLY! Just couldn't bring myself to do it!) We DID have a really nice dinner there last nite tho with the gang...of course they just wanted to divide the check equally so with us just being only 3 ppl it was another rip off for us - but that's just how that crap goes. We carried our cooler everywhere - I brought the Captain but then decided those little mini bottles of wine would be easier (no ice, no mixers). Cheri will love this - I took a 4 pack of Glen Ellen Pinot Grigio, a 4 pack of Fish Eye Pinot Grigio, 1 stray Beringer White Zin that I had laying around and a 4 pack of Fish Eye Shiraz plus a screw together plastic wine glass!

There was this couple there at the pool / hot tub that were SO-O funny...he had this Jesus look going on but except his hair was like a wig or something - and it was LONG - below his shoulders....and he had this gotee sort of thing going that kinda looked like it was a tatoo...then the wife - OMG! The wife had these huge collagen injected lips that looked like cartoon fish lips, bleached platinum hair and GRAPEFRUITS for u know whats! MAKEUP like Tammy Fay - IN the hot tub! It was a riot! Especially after about 3 little bottles of wine!
We were all dying!
They had these huge outdoor fire places so we hung out outside last nite & made smores & drank & the guys burned up like 1/2 cord of wood...
Anyway, it was a very nice resort but I had other things on my mind (like Thanksgiving)...
We got home today & I realized that I forgot my PILLOW there!!!!!! I am so upset!! I called them and they had it in the lost & found...will send it DHL...but how will I sleep until I get it back?! Someone had also turned in a glove that DS lost so they will send that too. But OMG! I LOVE my pillow! It's one of those high density foam ones from the Select Comfort store.... MAN!! I cannot believe I forgot my pillow!
Cheri - way to go on the homemade bread thing! I do not bake. DS thinks homemade cookies are all slice & bake! He has no idea that you can actually MAKE the batter yourself!
CamColt - wild guess here...are you Italian? And I would not worry about the savanna room view at AKL - you will only be there for 3 n - and our first trip we also paid for a savanna view & saw like the same giraffe all week and that was it! The savanna's are all different - if you luck out and get the Arusha Savanna I think you have better luck - but not all savanna rooms are created equal!!! If the pool view is still available I'd just save the extra $ and grab that - they don't have very many of those so take it if it's there! I also wouldn't mess with switching rooms for just one nite!! You know you won't be in the room that much!
TRM - pics are CUTE - love the grapes! Pumpkins were adorable too!
Alright, gotta run - got "stuff" to do! Bought a 20 Lb turkey today...gotta clean house before I cook that bird!! Anyway, glad to be back!

sad2: - doesn't bode well for her teenage years) and Timmy just rolled his eyes, "Mom, you are hill-AR-ee-ous. When's dinner?" Spoiled little offspring. Want clean clothes AND food! Next they are going to want cars and college edumacations - well, we hope for the college anyway.
(Glad you had a good time though - but "Fish Eye" eeeew) I agree with you on AK. I would have much rather looked over the pool. From what I remember it was pretty nice.

They usually start adding "lot premiums" onto lots once they go over about 6,500 SF I think. Anyway, isn't it funny how the architecture differs from the east coast to the west coast to the south? It's so funny. I much prefer the "look" of homes elsewhere - but you just don't see them built like that here....
Last nites episode was pretty good...but what's this with the season ending in 2 more episodes?! That's screwed up!! "Two more episodes to save the world" - it wasn't cancelled was it? It doesn't sound like it's 'cuz of the writers strike to me either. They're gonna piss me off like LOST did.....
I am so not ready for this! Of course when I ran to the supermarket there was no brush in the car yet, so I had to sit with the rear defroster on for about 10 minutes.
